Pengembangan Buku Matematika SMP Kelas VIII Berbasis Etnomatematika Terintegrasi Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis
Kemampuan konumikasi matematis menjadi hal penting yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa karena merupakan kemampuan yang mampu mengkaitkan materi yang absrak dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Proses pembelajaran matematika yang dilakukan saat ini juga cenderung terlalu teoritis, kurang kontekstual, dan bersifat semu. Kebiasaan yang menunjukkan budaya masyarakat sekitar yang dikaitkan dengan konsep matematika dikenal dengan etnomatematika. Dalam penelitian ini akan dilihat ide-ide matematis pada objek sejarah dan bangunan di Kota Banda Aceh, Kabupaten Kota Lhokseumawe dan Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan R and D (Researh and Development). Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah metode ADDIE (analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket dan pedoman wawancara. Data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan analisis statistik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil analisis uji kevalidan buku terhadap ahli materi media dan Bahasa diperoleh presentasi masing-masing 91,03 %, 95% dan 94,44% yang menunjukkan kriteria sangat valid. Hal yang sama juga pada hasil validasi peer review diperoleh presentase rata-rata 91,77% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Selanjutnya hasil pengujian kepraktisan pada subjek siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Lhoseumawe dengan 9 siswa kelompok kecil; 4 siswa kelas VIII-A dan 5 siswa kelas VIII-E diperoleh presentase rata-rata 83,39% dengan kriteria praktis, dan hasil pengujian pada siswa kelompok besar sejumlah 30 siswa kelas VIII-Unggul diperoleh presentase 72% yang menunjukkan kriteria praktis. Adapun hasil angket respon guru menunjukkan hasil 100% yang menunjukkan buku sangat praktis untuk digunakan
MATHEMATICS TEACHERS’ ANXIETY IN TEACHING AND LEARNING PROCESS: A LITERATURE REVIEW
Over the last few decades, many studies have placed attention on math anxiety in students, but math teachers can also experience anxiety that requires the attention. Math teachers can experience the anxiety in the form of math anxiety and math teaching anxiety, which can affect the learning process of mathematics. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that cause math anxiety and math teaching anxiety in teachers. The method used in this research is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with a survey-based descriptive approach through analysis the articles that fulfilled the inclution criteria, namely (1) published during the last ten years (2013-2022), (2) written in Indonesian or English, (3) indexed by Scopus or Sinta, which are browsed on the Google Scholar, ERIC, and Garuda database using the keywords “teachers’ math anxiety" and “teacher’s math teaching anxiety”. The results showed that mathematics teachers who experience mathematics anxiety in the form of feelings of worry and discomfort when thinking or doing something related to mathematics, this is caused by a low level of mathematics knowledge and self-confidence, while mathematics teaching anxiety causes worry and feeling uncomfortable when going to or teaching mathematics, this is caused by several factors such as experiencing mathematics anxiety, low mastery of learning technology, low levels of self-confidence, and unsupportive learning infrastructure
DEVELOPMENT OF CLOPEDIMATIC LEARNING MEDIA WITH REALISTIC MATHEMATICS APPROACH BASED ON MADURA’S LOCAL WISDOM
The low student learning outcomes in the measurement material can be caused by the tendency of teachers to only transfer their knowledge to students' minds so that students are passive, and not critical. One learning approach that pays attention to this situation is a realistic mathematical approach based on Madura local wisdom. Students are presented with contextual problems, namely problems related to measurements, so that they are trained to get used to solving problems in their daily lives. To support this realistic mathematics approach, a clopedimatics-based learning media will be designed as a substitute for textbooks used by students. Clopedimatics is a form of print media that is compiled based on the concept of compiling an Encyclopedia and designed to help students master the measurement material and is associated with non-standard units of measurement used by the Madurese community. This type of research is development research that uses a 4-D model but has been modified to 3-D, namely defining, designing, and developing. The conclusions of this study are development of clopedimatic learning media with a realistic mathematics approach based on Madurese local wisdom in the measurement material at SDN Barkot 1 Pamekasan meets the valid, practical, and effective criteria
Dibalik Cahaya Bulan Sabit: Peran Muhammadiyah di Purbolinggo dalam Mewujudkan Keberadaban Masyarakat pada tahun 1963-1983
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejarah serta pengaruh perkembangan Muhammadiyah di dalam membangun peradaban masyarakat Purbolinggo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode historis dengan tahapan heuristik, verifikasi, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Teknik pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini mengunakan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa Muhammadiyah Cabang Purbolinggo berdiri pada 3 April 1963 yang diketuai oleh Amirudin, dan Abdul Fatah sebagai wakil ketua. Peranan Muhammadiyah dapat terlihat dalam aspek kehidupan masyarakat seperti mendirikan Masjid Darul Ihsan yang bersebelahan dengan Pusat Pasar Purbolinggo, mendirikan sekolah Madrasah Ibtifaiyah, Sekolah Pendidikan Guru Agama Muhammadiyah (PGAM), TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal, SMP, SMA, MA Muhammadiyah serta Koperasi Wargamu pada 1973, dan Zafakoh pada 1978 yang merupakan badan pengumpul Zakat, Infak serta Sodakoh, dan memberikan bantuan pelayanan sosial seperti Penolong Kesengsaraan Oemoem (PKO)
THE DEVELOPMENT OF INTRODUCTION TO ESSAY WRITING COURSE’S TEXTBOOK BASED ON HOTS-TECH INTEGRATED WITH CM-PBL (CASE METHOD-PROJECT BASED LEARNING)
Despite many studies focusing on writing materials, few developed e-book writing materials for university students. This study aims to 1) analyze the students' and lecturers' needs related to the development of the Introduction to Essay Writing Course's textbook based on HOTS-Tech (Higher Order Thinking Skill-Technology) integrated with CM-PBL (Case Method-Project Based Learning) and 2) to develop an Introduction to Essay Writing Course's textbook based on HOTS-Tech integrated with CM-PBL. This study employs R &D with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). Participants in the current study are 35 university students and four lecturers. We employed instruments such as questionnaires, interviews, and observations. Data collection traces the ADDIE model, while the data analysis employs non-parametric statistics with a descriptive quantitative model. The result shows that the book adheres contents of the book, material presentation, presentation order, the balance of the chapter, language use, and layout. The activities should cover higher-order thinking skills (HOTs) under main categories; analyzing, evaluating, and creating. The current study implies that EFL university teachers embed technology and HOTs in the Essay Writing e-book to promote the techno-skill of the current generation.
OPTIMIZING VIDEO IN ZOOM MEETINGS TO IMPROVE EFL STUDENTS' SPEAKING PERFORMANCE
Studies on improving speaking during the pandemic have been reported numerous. However, few did report using shortcut videos. The current study discusses how EFL students benefit from shortcut videos to improve their speaking skills during the pandemic 19. The subjects of this research were second semester-grade-student at Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo. The research was an online class and used a mixed method. The qualitative data are obtained by making the media for material; then evaluation uses online apps based on Android. The researchers observed students' activity by watching shortcut videos and answering the online quiz. The videos were shared through Zoom apps to help the learners to develop their speaking skills, especially in grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, expressions, and fluency. The findings are that the students can learn English better in real situations. They got a suitable strategy for speaking English using shortcut videos without boredom. The students speaking skills were measured; the mean score before the video was 54.17, and the mean score after the video was 70.24. Therefore, there was a significant improvement in speaking skills after using shortcut video with Zoom apps. The study implies that teaching speaking needs creativity by employing digital resources.
PENGEMBANGAN PERANGKAT PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS DISCOVERY LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS MATEMATIS SISWA SMP
Penelitian dan pengembangan ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kevalidan dan keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Discovery Learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa SMP. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research & Development) yang mengacu pada model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Penelitian dilakukan pada kelas VIII berjumlah 25 siswa di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Malang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu angket validasi, dokumen dan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai kevalidan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Discovery Learning yaitu 83,33% dengan kategori sangat valid. Berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kritis, diperoleh persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 80% yang menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan memiliki kualitas efektif. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Discovery Learning valid dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP. This research and development were carried out to determine the validity and effectiveness of learning tools based on Discovery Learning in improving junior high school students' mathematical critical thinking skills. This type of research is research and development (Research & Development), which refers to the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The study was conducted in class VIII with 25 SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Malang students. The research instruments used were validation questionnaires, documents, and critical thinking skills tests. The results showed that the validity value of learning tools based on Discovery Learning was 83.33%, with an outstanding category. Based on the results of the critical thinking ability test, the proportion of learning completeness was obtained by 80% indicating that the learning tool developed has adequate quality. Learning tools based on Discovery Learning are valid and effective for improving students' mathematical critical thinking skills in class VIII SMP
ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN MAHASISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN MASALAH NUMERASI BERBASIS ONLINE
Perubahan pelaksanaan UN (Ujian Nasional) menjadi AKM (Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum) didasarkan pada hasil evaluasi capaian PISA siswa di Indonesia yang masih rendah. Rendahnya capaian siswa pada asesmen internasional tersebut berdasarkan berbagai penelitian di Indonesia salah satunya disebabkan oleh faktor guru atau calon guru. Guru merupakan ujung tombak yang paling mempengaruhi keberhasilan siswa dalam belajar. Oleh sebab itu, pada penelitian dilakukan analisis capaian mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah numerasi berdasarkan level numerasi dan faktor yang mempengaruhi capaian tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang ditujukan untuk mendeskripsikan data-data kuantitatif terkait kemampuan numerasi mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika berdasarkan level numerasi (knowing, applying, reasoning). Ada 10 masalah numerasi berbasis online yang diberikan, yaitu 4 soal pada level knowing, 4 soal pada level applying, dan 2 soal pada level reasoning dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 29 mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis penelitian diperoleh bahwa 74% mahasiswa mampu menyelesaikan masalah level knowing atau capaiannya kategori tinggi, 49% mampu menyelesaikan masalah level applying atau capaiannya kategori sedang, dan 30% mahasiswa mampu menyelesaikan masalah level reasoning atau capaiannya kategori rendah. Faktor yang paling mempengaruhi kurangnya capaian mahasiswa pada level reasoning adalah belum terbiasanya mahasiswa memberikan alasan dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika mulai dari tingkat sekolah dasar hingga menengah atas/sederajat
PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN REALISTIC MATHEMATICS EDUCATION MELALUI MODEL APOS BERBANTUAN GEOGEBRA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA
Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran Matematika dengan menerapkan pendekatan Realistics Mathematics Education melalui model APOS berbantuan Geogebra. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 9 Kaur semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2022/2023.Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi aktivitas self checklist dan tes hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang merujuk pada Suharsimi dan Arikunto dengan melalui empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan (plan), tindakan (action), pengamatan (observe), dan refleksi (reflect). Baik Siklus I ataupun II, keduanya dilaksanakan dengan masing-masing tiga pertemuan dan satu tes siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peningkatan aktivitas belajar dapat dilihat dari rata-rata skor pada lembar observasi self checklist aktivitas belajar siswa siklus I sampai siklus II secara berturut-turut: 20,33 (kreteria cukup Aktif); 29,66 (kreteria Aktif). Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata tes hasil belajar dan latihan siswa siklus I sampai siklus II yaitu 65,87; 80 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal dari siklus I sampai siklus II yaitu 47%; 82%. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa adanya peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dilihat dari siklus I dan Siklus II.Kata kunci: Hasil Belajar; Model APOS; Pendekatan Realistics Mathematics Education (RME)Abstract This study aims to improve the activities and student learning outcomes in Mathematics learning by applying the Realistics Mathematics Education approach through the Geogebra-assisted APOS model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The research subjects were class XI MIA SMA Negeri 9 Kaur even semester academic year 2022/2023. Data collection was carried out using observation sheets for self checklist activities and student learning outcomes tests. This Classroom Action Research was carried out in two cycles referring to Suharsimi and Arikunto by going through four stages, namely planning (plan), action (action), observation (observe), and reflection (reflect). Either Cycle I or II, both carried out with three meetings each and one cycle test. The results showed that the increase in learning activity could be seen from the average score on the self-checklist observation sheet of student learning activities cycle I to cycle II respectively: 20.33 (quite active criterion); 29.66 (Active criteria). Improved student learning outcomes can be seen from the average score of student learning outcomes and training tests cycle I to cycle II, namely 65.87; 80 with the percentage of classical learning completeness from cycle I to cycle II, namely 47%; 82%. This shows that there is an increase in activity and student learning outcomes seen from Cycle I and Cycle II.Keywords: Learning outcomes; APOS Model; Realistics Mathematics Education (RME) approach
PENGEMBANGAN PERANGKAT PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA BERBASIS DISCOVERY LEARNING MEMFASILITASI KPMM BARISAN DAN DERET PESERTA DIDIK SMA/MA
This research produces the learning devices based discovery learning on subject of sequences and series number which can facilitate the mathematical problem solving abilities of senior high school students who have valid and practical criteria. This research is a development study using the ADDIE development model which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Based on the validation by three experts, is obtained information that the learning devices are very valid. Based on the field test on students of senior high school students in Simpang Kanan in Riau Province, was obtained information that students’worksheets were very practical applications. Therefore, the learning devices have developed have qualified criteria of valid and practical applications to facilitate students' mathematical problem solving abilities
