    ENHANCEMENT OF STUDENTS’ CRITICAL THINKING SKILL AND WRITING ACHIEVEMENT THROUGH GUIDED-INQUIRY LEARNING

    While many studies have explored the enhancement of critical thinking skills through inquiry and guided inquiry learning models, there is no research specifically examining the impact of the guided inquiry learning model on both critical thinking and writing achievement in the EFL context. This study aimed to examine the potential of the Guided Inquiry Learning model to enhance critical thinking skills and English writing achievement. This study was quasi-experimental research with a pretest-posttest control group design. A cluster random sampling technique was used to get two groups of samples. One experimental group was taught by guided inquiry learning, and one control group was taught without guided inquiry learning. The data were collected through six-item essay tests to measure students' critical thinking skills and writing tests to measure students' writing achievement. Those data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The prerequisite test of normality and homogeneity preceded the analysis of the t-test. The results of data analysis showed: 1) there is an increased score for students' critical thinking skills and writing achievement in each group, and 2) there is a significant difference in students' critical thinking skills (with sig. value of 0.000) and students' writing achievement (with sig. value of 0.005) after the implementation of guided inquiry learning model. The findings of this research highlight the significance of incorporating the GIL model into EFL instruction to equip students' writing achievement and critical thinking skills

    The merapi park tourist attraction is one of the destinations that Indonesian tourists frequently visit. This research aims to examine the influence of attributes, service quality, accessibility, and electronic word of mouth on visitor satisfaction. The data collection method for this research used a questionnaire distributed through Google Forms. The sampling technique employed was purposive sampling, with a total of 283 respondents participating in the study. The data analysis technique used in this research was partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) utilizing SMART PLS version 4.0.9.6.     INOVASI PEMBELAJARAN KOMBINATORIAL BERORIENTASI PADA HIGHER ORDER THINKING SKILL

    Beberapa hal yang mendasari penelitian ini, yaitu hasil refleksi perkuliahan, wawancara dan telaah dokumen menunjukkan adanya permasalahan pada aspek berpikir tingkat tinggi yang masih rendah khususnya pada materi kombinatorial. Hal ini diduga muncul dari proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan belum berorientasi pada HOTS. Mahasiswa menilai proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan belum menginspirasi untuk pengembangan potensi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini berfokus pada inovasi pembelajaran kombinatorial yang tujuannya untuk menghasilkan rancangan inovasi pembelajaran kombinatorial yang berorientasi pada HOTS, yang terdiri atas strategi dan metode, lembar kerja mahasiswa (LKM), dan instrumen HOTS yang valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam rangka meningkatkan HOTS mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu research and development, dengan model ADDIE yang terdiri atas lima tahapan, yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Produk inovasi yang dihasilkan memenuhi kriteria valid sehingga layak digunakan dengan rata-rata presentase validasi 92,22% untuk strategi dan model, 87,11% untuk LKM, dan 88% untuk instrumen. Implementasi produk inovasi dilakukan di kelas matematika diskrit semester genap Tahun Akademik 2022/2023 yang terdiri dari 17 mahasiswa. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan produk bersifat praktis dengan skor rata-rata 83,92% dan efektif di mana hasil analisis gain ternormalisasi terhadap data pretest dan posttest menunjukkan HOTS mahasiswa meningkat setelah mengalami inovasi pembelajaran dengan kriteria sedang.Some of the things that underlie this research are the results of lecture reflections, interviews, and document reviews showing problems in the aspects of higher-order thinking that are still low, especially in combinatorial material. This is thought to arise from the learning process that has not been HOTS-oriented. Students assess that the learning process has not inspired the development of student potential. This research focuses on combinatorial learning innovation with the aim to produce HOTS-oriented combinatorial learning innovation design, which consists of strategies and methods, Student Worksheets (SML), and HOTS instruments that are valid, practical, and effective in order to improve students' HOTS. . The research method used is research and development, with the ADDIE model consisting of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The resulting innovation product meets the valid criteria so that it is feasible to use with an average percentage of validation of strategies and models of 92.22%, LKM of 87.11%, and instruments of 88%. The implementation of the innovation product was carried out in a discrete mathematics class in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year, totaling 17 students. The implementation results showed that the product was practical with an average score of 83.92% and effective, where the results of the pretest and posttest data normalized gain analysis showed that students' HOTS increased after experiencing learning innovations with moderate criteria

    KEMAMPUAN LITERASI MATEMATIS SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR DENGAN PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED INSTRUCTION (PBI)

     Abstrak Kemampuan literasi matematis ialah kemampuan merumuskan dan menafsirkan serta menekan penalaran sistematis siswa dalam menerapkan konsep, prosedur, fakta, sebagai alat dalam mendeskribsikan sebuah permasalahan atau fenomena. Pentingnya literasi matematis‚ maka pembelajaran matematika memerlukan strategi yang mampu mengembangkan kemampuan literasi matematis, yaitu model Problem Based Instruction (PBI). Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) Mengetahui perbedaan tingkat kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran PBI dan model pembelajaran langsung; (2) Mengetahui besarnya pengaruh model pembelajaran PBI terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis siswa; (3) Mengetahui respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika menggunakan model pembelajaran PBI. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu quasi eksperimental design dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu teknik tes berupa uraian soal kemampuan literasi matematis serta angket respon siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t dua sampel, uji effect size dan uji persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Adanya perbedaan tingkat kemampuan literasi matematis siswa antara menggunakan model pembelajaran PBI dengan model pembelajaran langsung; (2) Model pembelajaran PBI berpengaruh besar terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis siswa; dan (3) Respon siswa positif terhadap pembelajaran matematika menggunakan model pembelajaran PBI. Dengan demikian diharapkan model pembelajaran PBI dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: Kemampuan literasi matematis; Model pembelajaran; Problem Based Instruction.Abstract Mathematical literacy is the ability to formulate and interpret and suppress students systematic reasoning in applying consepts, procedures, fact, as a tool to describe a phenomena or event. The importance of this ability‚ mathematics learning requires strategies that can develop mathematical literacy skills, one of which is Problem Based Instruction (PBI). The purpose of this study aims to: (1) Konowing the difference in the level of students mathematical literacy skills  using the PBI  learning model and direct learning; (2) Knowing the effect of PBI learning model on students mathematical literacy skills; and (3) Knowing students responses to mathematics learning using using PBI learning model. This type of research is a quasy-eksperimental design with a research design of nonequivalent control group design. The data collection technique used a technique in the form of a description of mathematical literacy skills and non-test in the form of a student response questionnaire. Data analysis technique used two-sample t test, effect size test, and percentage test. The result showed that: (1) There is a difference in the level of students mathematical literacy skills between between using the PBI learning model and direct learning; (2) PBI learning model has a major effect on students mathematical literacy skills and; (3) Students responses are positive towards learning mathematic using PBI learning model. Thus, it is expected that the PBI learning model can be applied in mathematics learning to develop improve mathematical literacy skills. Keywords:Mathematical literacy skills; Learning Model; Problem Based Instruction

    Lemahnya kemampuan koneksi matematis ini terlihat dari ketidakmampuan peserta didik dalam melihat keterkaitan dalam setiap konsep. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan yaitu dengan melakukan pembelajaran yang konstektual serta menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran yang menarik yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran berupa Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis Connecting Mathematics Project (CMP) bentuan video pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik yang valid, praktis dan efektif.  Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan dengan model Plomp. Dengan subjek penelitiannya peserta didik kelas VIII SMP. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar validasi RPP, LKPD, video pembelajaran, angket respon pendidik dan angket respon peserta didik. Selanjutnya hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran dan video pembelajaran memenuhi kriteri sangat valid dengan rata-rata skor berturut-turut 90,57%, 87,75% dan 87,25%. Dan praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran dengan skor 94% serta efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik dengan perolehan skor 70% . oleh karena itu, perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Connecting Mathematics Project (CMP) dan video pembelajaran yang dihasilkan  sudah valid, praktis dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didikThis weak mathematical connection ability can be seen from the students' inability to see the interrelationships in each concept. One effort that can be made is by carrying out contextual learning and using interesting learning tools that are tailored to the needs of students. This research aims to produce learning tools in the form of Learning Implementation Plans (RPP) and Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on the Connecting Mathematics Project (CMP) in the form of learning videos to improve students' mathematical connection abilities in a valid, practical and effective way.  This research uses model development with the Plomp model. With the research subject being students in class VIII of junior high school. The instruments used were RPP validation sheets, LKPD, learning videos, teacher response questionnaires and student response questionnaires. Furthermore, the research results show that the learning tools and learning videos meet the very valid criteria with average scores of 90.57%, 87.75% and 87.25% respectively. And it is practically used in learning with a score of 94% and is effective in developing students' mathematical connection abilities with a score of 70%. Therefore, the Connecting Mathematics Project (CMP) based learning tools and the resulting learning videos are valid, practical and effective in improving students' mathematical connection abilities

    The problem is that there is disequilibrium between old knowledge and new knowledge which makes mathematics education students difficult to study material on systems of linear equations in elementary linear algebra courses. Therefore, they need media that can facilitate old knowledge and new knowledge so that knowledge is equilibrium. One of the media that can be used is the advanced organizer student worksheet. The aim of this research is to produce an advance organizer model student worksheet that is valid, practical and effective. This research is development research using the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation). At the analysis stage, needs analysis, material analysis and learning environment analysis are carried out. At the design stage, an LKM is created which has four characteristics, namely identity, presentation of an advance organizer, presentation of the main material and practice questions to strengthen the schema or cognitive structure. Then at the development stage, the LKM that has been designed is validated by experts. Then at the implementation stage, small trials are carried out to get practical LKM and large class trials to get effective LKM. Then the evaluation stage concerns the things that need to be evaluated in the LKM. After going through this research stage, the results were conclude that 87.72% valid, 94.84% practical and 59% effective for student learning outcomes

    History of Maleman Tradition in Ramadan and its Changes in Baseng Sub-village Sukoharjo Regency

    This research aims to examine changes in the Maleman tradition in Baseng sub-village, Sukoharjo Regency, especially regarding changes in implementation, purpose, food, place of serving, and division of food cooking. This research uses a qualitative method with a historical approach, namely by analyzing events in a historical perspective. The data sources used include observation, interviews, and literature studies. Soekmono's cultural theory is seen in the Maleman tradition carried out in Baseng sub-village. The Maleman tradition reflects culture as a human creation that changes according to its needs. The results of this study can be concluded that the Maleman tradition in Baseng sub-village has undergone changes starting from the implementation, the purpose of holding the tradition, food, serving places, and the division of those who cook food. There are changes in the Maleman tradition in Baseng sub-village, the community continues to run it until now. Although not all can and want to participate in carrying out the tradition, they still respect each other

    The Influence of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) Learning Model on Student Learning Outcomes in History Subjects

    The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes in history subjects. This research uses quantitative methods. The sample was selected using random sampling. Data analysis techniques use normality test, homogeneity test, t-test, u-test. This can be proven by obtaining an average post-test score between experimental class students and control class students. 0.000 and the significance level value = 0.05, so 0.000 < 0.05 so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on these calculations, it can be concluded that the experimental class learning was higher than the control class. The impact of this research is that after carrying out project-based learning students can improve learning outcomes because from the learning process students are directly involved in the learning process whereas before this research was carried out students were still using conventional learning methods so student learning outcomes were low. The conclusion of this research is that there is an influence of the Project Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes in history subjects

    The Eid tradition ride pedicab has the potential to become a tourism object based on local culture and wisdom which is quite promising. However, in reality, the local government is not very supportive of introducing it to the general public. The presence of pedicab driver, bentor, delman, and odong-odong from Martapura and native residents who participated in enlivening the Eid day. The aim of this research is to analyze the background to the emergence and impact of the Eid tradition ride pedicab in the community in Sungai Tiung Cempaka Banjarbaru Village from 1975-2022 on the socio-economic life of the surrounding community. The method used is a historical method consisting of heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. This Eid tradition ride pedicab began to be held in 1975s and had a positive or negative impact on the socio-economic life of the surrounding community

    The religious activities allow them to fulfill the development funds that have become a mechanism for a running job field, which should be purely for common interests. The purpose of the research is to understand the background and impact of the contribution of religious activities on the road of Sungai Tunjang Village, Cerbon District, Barito Kuala Regency, in the years 2000-2022. This article uses the historical method, consisting of heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The research results show that since the year 2000, contributions have been found in the development of mosques/musholas on the road. The contributions occurred because the funds received from the community's collection for each house for the construction of musholas in Sungai Tunjang Village were insufficient. The positive impact is to raise public awareness that the search for contributions on the highway should not be misused for personal interests. The negative impact is to create a sense of resentment and difficulty due to the lack of funds for implementation, while personal funds are not available and slow down the journey for those who do not understand the existence of religious activities
