Road from Surakarta to Yogyakarta: History of Solo-Yogyakarta Road since 16th until 19th century
This article describes the history of the road between Surakarta-Yogyakarta from the 16th until the 19th century. Historically, this road has connected several political entities in Java since the 16th century. By using the historical method, which consists of heuristic, sources criticism, interpretation, and historiography, this research attempts to explain the significance of historical events of the Solo-Yogyakarta Road according to historical records and sources. By doing literature research, this article finds that the Solo-Yogyakarta Road dates back to the establishment of Mataram as Pajang’s vassal. Later in the 17th century, this road became one of the diplomatic roads used by VOC ambassadors to the Mataram's Keraton, until the war of succession clashed in the early 18th century. When Prince Puger occupied the Plered palace in Mataram and Amangkurat III occupied the new palace in Kartasura, this street was also an important setting for several events in the war between the two. Later, the Solo-Yogyakarta road became a pilgrimage route for kings and royal families, so the existence of this road became symbolically important for Mataram's power
Development of Critical Thinking Model in History Learning
The aim of this research is to develop a critical thinking model and determine students' critical thinking abilities because critical thinking skills are very important for students to master to be able to explain logically in reconstructing historical events. The research method used in this research is development research using the ADDIE procedure (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate). Data collection techniques use observation, direct communication, and documents, while the tools use observation guides, interview guides, and expert validation sheets. The data analysis technique using quantitative descriptive is used as a technique for reviewing research findings, with stages of data selection, data tabulation, calculating alternative answers. The results of the category validation research were very good with an average score of 4.38. The results of the feasibility test are very good with an average score of 4.49, product implementation shows that the results of the effectiveness test show that critical thinking skills as seen from the learning results using the model developed have higher results
Program Bimbingan Berbasis Sirah Nabawiyah untuk Mengembangkan Karakter Positif Remaja
This research aims to build a practical and feasible guidance program for developing positive adolescent character. One approach to providing guidance is to use Sirah Nabawiyah learning materials, namely a pattern of guidance activities using meaning and contextualization of the life journey of the Prophet Muhammad, both before and after he was appointed a Prophet. This research contextualizes the Prophet Muhammad's teenage years. This research uses a quantitative approach and a quasi-experimental research design. This research shows that the average score of the experimental group who took part in Sirah Nabawiyah-based guidance is better than the average score of the control group who took conventional guidance/learning, so the conclusion obtained is that Sirah Nabawiyah-based guidance services are more effectively used to improve the positive character of adolescence. This Sirah Nabawiyah-based guidance program is recommended to be considered as one of the programs for carrying out learning and guidance activities, significantly improving positive character
GEOGEBRA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN FUNGSI KUADRAT DAN PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA
Telah banyak penelitian yang mencoba meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik dengan memanfaatkan media GeoGebra. Namun, masih terbatas penelitian yang mengintegrasikan GeoGebra dalam pembelajaran materi fungsi kuadrat untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk menganalisis perbedaan signifikan dalam motivasi dan hasil belajar antara kelompok siswa yang pengajarannya menggunakan perangkat lunak GeoGebra dan kelompok yang menerapkan metode pengajaran konvensional, khususnya pada materi fungsi kuadrat. Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian, dilakukan uji coba dengan membandingkan kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan GeoGebra dan kelompok kontrol yang menerapkan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimental semu (quasi eksperimen) tipe Nonquivalent Control Group Design. Populasi adalah semua siswa kelas X di salah satu Sekolah Menegah Pertama Negeri di Jawa Tengah sebanyak 11 kelas dengan jumlah siswa 396. Sampel dari kelas X-E6 sebanyak 36 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas X-E3 sebanyak 36 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen. Cluster Random Sampling merupakan metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga instrumen pengumpulan data, yaitu tes, angket, dan dokumentasi, yang difungsikan untuk menghasilkan data komprehensif meliputi hasil pre-test, post-test, serta data motivasi peserta didik pada tahap awal dan akhir. Penelitian ini menggunakan prosedur uji komparatif Independent Sample T-test dalam proses analisis data statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat signifikansi perbedaan rata-rata motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa pada kelompok yang menggunakan GeoGebra dengan kelompok model konvensional pada materi fungsi kuadrat
PROSES BERPIKIR KOMPUTASIONAL SISWA BERDASARKAN PRIOR KNOWLEDGE
Prior knowledge is one of the primary factors in the birth of ideas in computational thinking. Solving problems in the 21st century requires computational thinking skills. The computational thinking process involves abstraction, design, decomposition, algorithms, and verification. Research was conducted to describe students' computational thinking processes in solving contextual problems based on previous knowledge. The research process uses qualitative with an explanatory approach. A total of 40 students were grouped into low, medium, and high prior knowledge categories. One subject was taken in each category using purposive sampling. Tests and interviews were carried out for data collection. Data analysis consists of data reduction, presentation, and conclusions. The research results show that students in the high and medium prior knowledge categories wholly and correctly prove each computational thinking stage. Students can present problems visually, explain the flow of solution ideas used, write down the steps in detail and precisely, and check all solutions and final conclusions. Students in the low prior knowledge category need to improve at the design and algorithm stages—students' errors in interpreting the problem abstractly so that there is some misinformation. As a result, the completion steps and wrong results are obtained at the algorithm stage. The research results can be used to determine learning strategies in the classroom so that computational thinking skills increase
CASE BASED LEARNING SEBAGAI UPAYA PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS BELAJAR DAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS
Komunikasi matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang harus dikuasai oleh mahasiswa. Melalui penguasaan komunikasi matematis yang baik, mahasiswa akan menyampaikan konsep-konsep matematika dengan baik dan benar. Case based learning merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat memfasilitasi berkembangnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dirancang untuk mengamati peningkatan aktivitas belajar dan kemampuan komunikasi mahasiswa selama proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model case based learning. Penelitian ini melibatkan 15 mahasiswa yang menempuh mata kuliah statistika. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan aktivitas belajar mahasiswa dengan model case based learning. Selanjutnya diakhir pembelajaran diberikan soal tes untuk mengetahui kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa case based learning dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa. Peningkatan aktivitas dalam pembelajaran dengan model case based learning terjadi pada seluruh aktivitas. Terdapat dua aktivitas belajar yaitu pengajuan gagasan dan perumusan solusi yang perlu dibutuhkan strategi dan penguatan oleh dosen agar dapat meningkat tiap siklus. Sedangkan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis terjadi pada tiap siklus. Rata-rata hasil tes komunikasi matematis meningkat tiap siklus
Hubungan Sense of Humor dengan Academic Burnout pada Fungsionaris Lembaga Kemahasiswaan di Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana
This study aims to determine the relationship between sense of humor with burnout on functionaries Lembaga Kemahasiswaan in SWCU. Subjects were 296 functionaries of LK UKSW, sample selection with quota sampling. The measuring instrument used to measure academic burnout is the Maslach Burnout Inventory Student Survey (MBI-SS). Sense of humor is measured by the Multidimensional Sense of Humor Scale. Statistical data analysis using Spearman Product Moment correlation. The results of this study found that there is no significance relationship between sense of humor and academic burnout on functionaries of LK UKSW (r = 0.094 and sig = 0.107). Functionaries are expected to find appropriate coping strategies with the help of lectures and Lembaga Kemahasiswaan in the process of finding and implementing these coping strategies
DEVELOPMENT OF AL-MASTER MODEL-BASED STUDENT WORKSHEET TO IMPROVE CRITICAL THINKING ABILITY OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
This study aims to develop and review the effectiveness of learning student worksheet based on the AL-MASTER model to improve students' critical thinking skills. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Purbolinggo. This type of research is research and development or Research and Development (R&D). The research and development process includes four stages: defining, planning, developing, and disseminating. The analysis included (1) data analysis of questionnaire validation of teaching materials and respondents and (2) analysis of critical thinking ability test data. The results of the analysis show that after using the AL-MASTER Model-based LKPD, it can be concluded that (1) The average results of expert assessment of the feasibility level of product development are in the feasible category, (2) The results of product trials and reviewing students' critical thinking skills show an increase in the Pre-Test average and the Post-Test average in class VIII.1 and the results of the N-gain percentage for that class were 68.74% with quite effective criteria, (3) Learning showed that time efficiency in class VIII.1 was quite efficient and the percentage of completeness in the experimental class was 74.17% or 26 students complete while the percentage of completeness, and (4) the response of teachers and students in the category was exciting.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan meninjau efektifitas pembelajaran lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) berbasis model AL-MASTER untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Purbolinggo. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D). Proses penelitian dan pengembangan meliputi empat tahapan yaitu: pendefinisian, perencanaan, pengembangan, penyebaran. Analisis yang dilakukan mmeliputi (1) analisis data lembar angket validasi bahan ajar dan responden, dan (2) analisis data tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa setelah penggunaan lembar kerja peserta didik berbasis Model AL-MASTER diperoleh simpulan bahwa (1) Hasil rerata penilaian ahli terhadap produk pengembangan tingkat kelayakan dalam kategori layak, (2) Hasil ujicoba produk dan meninjau kemampuan berpikir krtisi peserta didik terdapat peningkatan rerata Pre-Test dan rerata postest pada kelas VIII.1 dan hasil persentase N-gain untuk kelas tersebut sebesar 68,74% dengan kriteria cukup efektif, (3) Pembelajaran menunjukan bahwa efisiensi waktu pada kelas VIII.1 cukup efisien dan persentase ketuntasan kelas eksperimen sebesar 74,17% atau 26 peserta didik tuntas sedangkan persentase ketuntasan, dan (4) Respon guru dan peserta didik daam kategori sangat menarik.
METACOGNITIVE ACTIVITIES IN GROUP DISCUSSIONS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS MATHEMATICS MULTIPLICATION MATERIAL
Student metacognition only focuses on individuals, not yet associated with student positioning in the group. There are positioning groups whose roles change, so it is necessary to examine more deeply the characterization of students' metacognition in solving multiplication problems in group discussions in terms of student positioning. This study aims to describe students' metacognitive activities, students' roles during the discussion process, and students' metacognitive abilities related to students' roles during group discussions on multiplication material in mathematics of grade 6 students in one of the public elementary schools in Indonesia. Not only knowing the concept so that students can think critically and learn independently from students without teacher assistance, but also students must be trained in solving problems. This study used descriptive qualitative as the research method. It was found that awareness was mainly found in expert and facilitator positions, regulation was found in expert and facilitator students, and evaluation was found in all student roles. The metacognitive characteristics that emerged in group discussions were expert students as triggers (stimulus) and regulators (contribution), facilitator students as regulators (contribution) and followers (passive), and novice students as followers (passive).Metakognitif siswa hanya berfokus terhadap individu, belum dikaitkan dengan pemosisian siswa dalam kelompok. Ada kelompok pemosisian yang perannya berubah, sehingga perlu mengkaji lebih mendalam terkait karakterisasi metakognitif siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah perkalian pada diskusi kelompok ditinjau dari pemosisian siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas metakognitif siswa, peran siswa selama proses diskusi, dan kemampuan metakognitif siswa yang terkait dengan peran siswa selama diskusi kelompok pada materi perkalian matematika siswa kelas 6 di salah satu sekolah dasar negeri di Indonesia. Tidak hanya mengetahui konsep agar siswa dapat berpikir kritis dan belajar secara mandiri dari siswa tanpa bantuan guru, tetapi juga siswa harus dilatih dalam memecahkan masalah. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif sebagai metode penelitian. Ditemukan bahwa kesadaran terutama ditemukan pada posisi ahli dan fasilitator, regulasi ditemukan pada siswa ahli dan fasilitator, dan evaluasi ditemukan pada semua peran siswa. Karakteristik metakognitif yang muncul dalam diskusi kelompok adalah siswa ahli sebagai pemicu (stimulus) dan pengatur (kontribusi), siswa fasilitator sebagai pengatur (kontribusi) dan pengikut (pasif), dan siswa pemula sebagai pengikut (pasif)
PENGEMBANGAN PERANGKAT PEMBELAJARAN DARING DENGAN PENDEKATAN PENDIDIKAN MATEMATIKA REALISTIK UNTUK MEMFASILITASI KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tuntutan pendidikan di era digital yaitu guru diharapkan mampu memanfaatkan teknologi digital serta mampu menyajikan pembelajaran matematika secara kontekstual dan bermakna melalui media berbasis TIK. Guru hendaknya mampu memfasilitasi proses pembelajaran baik secara luring maupun secara daring. Pembelajaran daring memerlukan perangkat pembelajaran daring berupa Silabus, RPP, LKPD dan video pembelajaran. Kenyataannya dari hasil survei, guru belum mampu merancang pembelajaran daring dengan pendekatan yang bervariasi sehingga kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis (KPMM) peserta didik masih rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran daring menggunakan pendekatan matematika realistik (PMR) untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang valid dan praktis. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model Borg and Gall. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar validasi terhadap silabus, RPP, LKPD, video pembelajaran dan lembar angket respon hasil uji coba kelompok kecil dan kelompok besar. Hasil pengujian validitas perangkat pembelajaran daring ini menunjukkan kategori sangat valid dengan nilai secara berurutan sebesar 89,38%, 89,07%, 90,37%, 89,75%. Kategori sangat praktis nilai uji praktikalitas 93,22%. Artinya perangkat pembelajaran daring dengan pendekatan PMR pada materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung (BRSL) dapat diimplementasikan pada saat pembelajaran jarak jauh (daring) untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik pada materi BRSL.This research is motivated by the demands of education in the digital era, where teachers are expected to be able to utilise digital technology and be able to present contextual and meaningful mathematics learning through ICT-based media. Teachers should be able to facilitate the learning process both offline and online. Online learning requires online learning tools in the form of syllabus, lesson plans, LKPD and learning videos. In fact, from the survey results, teachers have not been able to design online learning with a varied approach so that the mathematical problem solving ability (KPMM) of students is still low. The purpose of this research is to develop online learning tools using a realistic mathematics approach (PMR) to facilitate valid and practical mathematical problem solving skills. The development method used is the Borg and Gall model. The instruments used are validation sheets for syllabus, lesson plans, LKPD, learning videos and response questionnaires from small group and large group trials. The results of testing the validity of this online learning device show a very valid category with sequential values of 89.38%, 89.07%, 90.37%, 89.75%. The very practical category of the practicality test value is 93.22%. This means that online learning tools with the PMR approach on the material of building a curved side space (BRSL) can be implemented during distance learning (online) to facilitate the learning process
