The research employed a quasi-experimental method with purposive sampling. The sample was collected in August–September 2020. Data on students’ critical thinking skills were obtained through pretests and posttests administered to both control and experimental classes. Data were analyzed using a t-test. The findings indicate a significant difference in critical thinking skills between students who used slideshow-based video media and those who did not. The one-tailed t-test at α = 0.05 showed that t calculated exceeded t table, thus rejecting H₀ and accepting Hₐ. It can be concluded that the use of slideshow-based video media has a significant influence on students’ critical thinking skills in the topic of Prehistoric Indonesia

The choice to be voluntarily single is a form of individual independence in determining their life path. However, in a collective culture like Indonesia, this chage is often inseparable from social pressure and family expectations. Family support is believed to have an important role in helping individuals interpret their choices positively, which ultimately affects life satisfaction. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and life satisfaction in voluntarily single people in Maluku. The subjects of the study were 100 early adults selected by purposive sampling. Data collection used a scale of family support and life satisfaction measurement. Statistical data analysis used Spearman Product Moment correlation. The results of this study found that there was a significant relationship between family support and life satisfaction in volunteer single people in Maluku (r = 0.703 and sig=0.000). The Correlation between Self-Control and Conformity in Students Involved in Clubbing Activities in Yogyakarta Club
This study aims to determine the relationship between self-control and conformity in students involved in clubbing activities in Yogyakarta clubs. This study uses a quantitative approach with a non-parametric correlation method. The measuring instrument used is the Brief Self Control Scale (BSCS) to measure self-control, and a conformity scale compiled based on the normative and informative influence aspects of Myers (2012). The results of the analysis showed a significant negative relationship between self-control and conformity. The higher the student's self-control, the lower the level of conformity in clubbing activities. The linearity test also confirmed that the relationship between the two variables is linear. This finding confirms the important role of self-control in responding to group pressure in social contexts such as clubbing

From Hobby to Global Tradition: The Early History of the Wonosobo Hot Air Balloon Festival and the Role of Kretek District (2004-2006)
The hot air balloon tradition in Wonosobo has evolved from a local pastime to a world-class cultural tourism festival, yet the Kretek District’s central role as a pioneer and guardian of this tradition remains largely unknown. This study aims to identify and analyze the history of Kretek in the development of the Wonosobo hot air balloon festival, describe the evolution of balloon flying practices over time, and document the individuals and communities who preserve the tradition. This study uses historical research methods. Although these methods generally rely on archives and written documents, this study gained important information from in-depth interviews with balloon flyers from the 1990s to 2008. These interviews not only serve as a complement to archival data but also serve as a primary source for understanding experiences, motivations, challenges, and innovations not formally recorded. The research reveals that Kretek has deep roots dating back to the Dutch era, inspired by the 1915 balloon landing, with Atmo Goper as a pioneer. This tradition has evolved significantly in materials, design (thanks to Mr. Kasuri and the “pendulum”), and ignition technique (the transition to coconut shells). Informal communities in Kretek preserve hereditary skills through collaboration. At its peak, the 2005-2006 Wonosobo Balloon Festival was officially held, winning two MURI awards in 2006, confirming national recognition of this Kretek cultural heritage
Transmigration of Javanese People to Ujung Batu IV Village, Sosa District Padang Lawas Regency, North Sumatra 1982-2022
This study aims to examine the dynamics of transmigrant life in Ujung Batu Village IV, as well as the patterns of social interaction and economic changes experienced by these transmigrants. The method used in this study is a historical method through four stages: heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The results of this study indicate that the transmigration program in Ujung Batu Village IV, which began in 1982, was an effort to address overpopulation on Java Island and ensure equitable development. Despite facing various challenges such as a lack of initial information, minimal basic infrastructure, and difficulties in social and cultural adaptation, the program showed significant progress, especially after the implementation of the PIR-KKPA pattern. This pattern encouraged partnerships with plantation companies, opened access to productive land, provided training, and marketed crops, which directly improved the economic welfare of transmigrants. Furthermore, harmonious social integration occurs between ethnic groups through social interaction, education, and intermarriage, creating an independent and competitive community
Implementation of Project Based Learning Model Based on Pop-Up Book Media to Improve Student's Creativity In History Lesson
This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model using Pop-Up Book media in enhancing students' creativity in history learning at SMA Negeri 1 Gebog Kudus. The research is motivated by the need to create learning experiences that encourage active student engagement and the development of 21st-century skills, particularly creativity. A descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach was employed, involving a history teacher and students from class XI F-8 as the research subjects. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using data triangulation techniques. The findings indicate that the implementation of PjBL with Pop-Up Book media effectively enhances the four indicators of student creativity: fluency in thinking, flexibility, originality, and idea elaboration. This suggests that the use of Pop-Up Book-based PjBL is a relevant and adaptable creative learning alternative across various educational levels and subjects
The Effectiveness of Contextual Learning Through Discussions and Visits to Cultural Heritage Sites in Improving Cultural Heritage Literacy in High School Students
This study aims to assess the effectiveness of contextual learning through workshops and visits to cultural heritage sites in improving cultural heritage literacy in high school students. The method used was a quantitative pre-experimental study with a pretest-posttest design. In addition, observations and supporting interviews were conducted involving 10 students from 10 public and private schools in Metro City. The results showed that contextual learning through workshops and visits to cultural heritage sites significantly improved students' understanding and cultural heritage literacy. This learning approach was effective in increasing historical awareness and student engagement with local culture, and is therefore recommended for integration into history instruction in high school to improve historical literacy. The drawbacks of this learning approach are the lengthy time required and the lack of connection to the school curriculum, particularly regarding out-of-class learning
