    DEVELOPMENT OF AN RME-BASED GAME WITH LOCAL WISDOM CONTENT AND DEEP LEARNING STRATEGIES FOR MATHEMATICS LEARNING

    AbstractThe main problem in elementary school mathematics learning is the low student motivation and learning outcomes caused by conventional approaches that tend to be abstract and lack connections to real-life contexts. This study aims to develop an educational game based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) with the integration of Acehnese local wisdom to improve students’ motivation and learning outcomes. The research employed a modified Research and Development (R&D) model of Borg & Gall, which consisted of needs analysis, design, expert validation, limited trial, revision, main field trial, and final revision. The research subjects included 30 fifth-grade students in the limited trial stage and 90 students from three different elementary schools in the main field trial, using a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. The instruments used were student response questionnaires, expert validation sheets, and achievement tests. Expert validation results indicated that the product was in the “highly valid” category. The limited trial showed that 90% of students considered the game easy to use and 85% felt more motivated, with learning achievement increasing from an average pretest score of 62 to 78 in the posttest; a paired-sample t-test yielded t(29) = 5.84, p < 0.001. The main field trial demonstrated a significant improvement, where the experimental class increased from an average score of 61 to 84, while the control class only increased from 63 to 72; the ANOVA results showed F(1,88) = 12.35, p < 0.01 with an effect size of 0.82 (large category). It is concluded that the RME-based educational game with Acehnese local wisdom is effective in enhancing students’ motivation and learning outcomes, and it has the potential to be further developed by adding adaptive and interactive features to strengthen student engagement.Keywords: Deep Learning; Game; Local Wisdom; RME Abstrak Permasalahan utama dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar adalah rendahnya motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa akibat pendekatan konvensional yang cenderung abstrak serta minim keterkaitan dengan konteks nyata kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan game edukatif berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) dengan integrasi kearifan lokal Aceh untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan Research and Development (R&D) model Borg & Gall yang dimodifikasi, melalui tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, validasi ahli, uji coba terbatas, revisi, uji coba lapangan utama, hingga revisi akhir. Subjek penelitian melibatkan 30 siswa kelas V SD pada tahap uji terbatas dan 90 siswa dari tiga sekolah dasar berbeda pada tahap uji lapangan dengan desain quasi-experiment menggunakan pretest-posttest control group design. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi angket respon siswa, lembar validasi ahli, serta tes hasil belajar. Hasil validasi ahli menyatakan produk berada pada kategori sangat valid. Uji terbatas menunjukkan 90% siswa menilai game mudah digunakan dan 85% merasa lebih termotivasi, dengan peningkatan hasil belajar dari skor rata-rata pretest 62 menjadi 78 pada posttest; analisis uji t berpasangan menghasilkan t(29)=5,84, p<0,001. Uji lapangan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan, di mana kelas eksperimen meningkat dari skor rata-rata 61 menjadi 84, sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya meningkat dari 63 menjadi 72; hasil ANOVA F(1,88)=12,35, p<0,01 dengan effect size 0,82 (kategori besar). Disimpulkan bahwa game edukatif berbasis RME dengan kearifan lokal Aceh efektif meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa, serta berpotensi dikembangkan lebih lanjut dengan penambahan fitur adaptif dan interaktif untuk memperkuat keterlibatan siswa.Kata kunci: Deep Learning; Game; Kearifan Lokal; RME

    Pembelajaran matematika di SMA menghadapi tantangan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep serta keterampilan literasi dan numerasi. Model blended learning muncul sebagai solusi yang mengkombinasikan pembelajaran tatap muka dan daring, memungkinkan pembelajaran yang fleksibel, interaktif, dan adaptif. Model ini dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan keterlibatan aktif siswa, serta memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran yang efektif dan efisien. Di Balikpapan, penerapan blended learning sangat relevan untuk memperkuat literasi dan numerasi siswa melalui inovasi pembelajaran yang adaptif terhadap kebutuhan lokal dan perkembangan teknologi. Tujuan penelitian ini mengeksplorasi praktik blended learning dalam pembelajaran matematika untuk memperkuat literasi dan numerasi siswa SMA di Balikpapan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus eksploratif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi praktik pembelajaran yang berjalan. Hasil wawancara dianalisis dengan menggunakan NVivo 15. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan blended learning secara efektif meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, kemandirian belajar, serta kompetensi literasi dan numerasi digital melalui penggunaan berbagai platform dan media pembelajaran digital seperti GeoGebra, Kahoot, dan Google Classroom. Selain itu, inovasi dan adaptasi guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran blended learning mampu mengatasi kendala teknis dan pedagogis yang muncul selama proses belajar. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah blended learning merupakan strategi pembelajaran yang relevan dan efektif dalam mendukung pengembangan keterampilan abad 21, khususnya literasi dan numerasi, dengan syarat dukungan pelatihan dan infrastruktur yang memadai. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pengembangan metode pembelajaran matematika yang adaptif dan inovatif di tingkat SMA.Mathematics learning in high schools faces challenges in improving students' conceptual understanding and literacy and numeracy skills. The blended learning model emerged as a solution that combines face-to-face and online learning, enabling flexible, interactive, and adaptive learning. This model can increase student learning motivation and active engagement, while utilizing digital technology to support an effective and efficient learning process. In Balikpapan, the implementation of blended learning is highly relevant to strengthening student literacy and numeracy through learning innovations that are adaptive to local needs and technological developments. The purpose of this study was to explore blended learning practices in mathematics learning to strengthen the literacy and numeracy of high school students in Balikpapan. The research method used was a qualitative approach with an exploratory case study type. Data collection was through interviews and documentation of ongoing learning practices. Interview results were analyzed using NVivo 15. The results showed that the implementation of blended learning effectively increased student engagement, learning independence, and digital literacy and numeracy competencies through the use of various digital learning platforms and media such as GeoGebra, Kahoot, and Google Classroom. In addition, teacher innovation and adaptation in managing blended learning were able to overcome technical and pedagogical obstacles that emerged during the learning process. The conclusion of this study is that blended learning is a relevant and effective learning strategy for supporting the development of 21st-century skills, particularly literacy and numeracy, provided adequate training and infrastructure support is provided. This research makes an important contribution to the development of adaptive and innovative mathematics learning methods at the high school level

    Deep Learning as a core approach in the Merdeka Curriculum requires teachers to design meaningful, contextual, and student-centered learning experiences. This study aims to describe the readiness level of teachers at SDN Sungai Lulut 4 Banjarmasin in implementing Deep Learning in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS), particularly for the topic “My Indonesia Rich in Culture and History.” This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis of teaching materials. The main informants were two fourth-grade teachers at SDN Sungai Lulut 4 Banjarmasin. The findings indicate that teachers possess a basic understanding of the Deep Learning concept; however, they still encounter challenges in its implementation, particularly in planning authentic assessments, managing project-based activities, and utilizing local learning resources. In addition, teachers expressed enthusiasm for integrating Banjar cultural values, yet limited time and training hinder optimal implementation. In conclusion, the teachers’ readiness level is categorized as adequate, but further improvement in pedagogical competence, curriculum understanding, and school support is needed to ensure IPAS learning becomes deeper, more relevant, and contextual for students

    Pepper Trade from Lampung to Banten and Its Influence on Social Titles in the 17th Century

    This research discusses the Lampung Pepper Trade to Banten and its influence on social status in the 17th century. This research uses historical research methods, namely, heuristics, source criticism, interpretation and historiography. This research found that the people of Lampung obtained social status after selling Lada to the Banten sultanate based on certain heavy provisions. The awarding of the title occurred because of Lampung's close relationship with Banten, which was driven by the importance of the pepper trade at that time. As the main commodity, pepper connects Lampung with the international trade network through the port of Banten. The Sultanate of Banten built good relations with the people of Lampung to maintain a stable supply of pepper and meet the ever-increasing global demand. This trade point not only had an impact on the economy but also influenced the social structure in Lampung. The social title given reflected close economic interactions as well as changes in status.     Hubungan Rasa Kesepian dengan Kecenderungan Adiksi Sosial Media Platform Instagram dan Tiktok pada Perempuan Remaja Akhir

    The development of information and communication technology has increased the use of social media among adolescents, especially the Instagram and TikTok platforms. The increased intensive use of social media among adolescents is often not only functional, but also compulsive, which can lead to social media addiction behavior. Loneliness is one of the psychological factors that contribute to the emergence of social media addiction behavior, especially on immersive and interactive platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. This study aims to analyze the relationship between loneliness and social media addiction tendencies in late adolescent women. The research method uses a quantitative approach with puposive sampling method. The number of samples obtained was 152 respondents with an age range of 18-24 years. Data were analyzed using the Spearman correlation test with SPSS version 25. The results obtained a correlation coefficient value of 0.215 with a significant level of 0.008 (p < 0.01). This value shows that there is a significant positive relationship between loneliness and the tendency of social media addiction

    Studi Autopsi Psikologis: Identifikasi Faktor Psikologis Penyebab Bunuh Diri di Beberapa Negara di Asia

    Suicide remains a critical public health issue in many Asian countries, with increasing rates observed across diverse cultural and social contexts. Understanding the psychological factors underlying suicide is essential for developing effective prevention strategies. This study aimed to identify the psychological factors contributing to suicide in several Asian countries and to explore potential patterns through a literature-based psychological autopsy approach. The data analyzed consisted of psychological autopsy studies on suicide cases from South Korea, Japan, Nepal, Bangladesh, China, and Indonesia. A narrative synthesis was conducted on selected full-text articles published within the last ten years that met the inclusion criteria. The findings revealed that the dominant psychological factors varied across countries. In South Korea, China, and Indonesia, mental health problems particularly mood disorders were identified as the most prominent psychological factors associated with suicide. In Japan, sleep disorders emerged as the most dominant psychological factor. In Bangladesh, negative life experiences were found to be the primary psychological contributors, while in Nepal, exposure to physical violence and witnessing or being aware of suicidal behavior among close individuals played a significant role. These findings indicate that suicide in Asian countries is shaped by a complex interaction of psychological vulnerabilities and sociocultural stressors. Despite these variations, mental health problems remain a recurring core factor across multiple contexts. This study highlights the importance of culturally sensitive suicide prevention strategies that consider country-specific psychological risk factors. The results provide valuable insights for mental health professionals, policymakers, and researchers in designing evidence-based interventions tailored to the sociocultural characteristics of different Asian societies

    Efektivitas Konseling Realitas untuk Mengurangi Nomophobia (No-Mobile Phone Phobia) pada Siswa Kelas IX di SMP Adh Dhuha Jember

    Nomophobia (no mobile-phone phobia), defined as excessive anxiety when individuals are unable to access their smartphones, has become a serious challenge among adolescents, particularly junior high school students growing up in the digital era. Uncontrolled smartphone use may disrupt learning concentration, social relationships, and students’ mental health. Therefore, effective counseling interventions that are relevant to adolescents’ developmental characteristics are needed. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of reality counseling using the WDEP (Wants, Doing, Evaluation, Planning) technique in reducing nomophobia among ninth-grade students at SMP Adh Dhuha Jember. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test–post-test control group model. Participants were selected through purposive sampling, consisting of students identified as having high levels of nomophobia based on pre-test results. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using an independent sample t-test to examine differences in nomophobia levels between the experimental and control groups. The results showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the two groups. The mean score of the experimental group decreased substantially from 88 in the pre-test to 45.38 in the post-test after receiving the reality counseling intervention, whereas the reduction in the control group was less pronounced. These findings demonstrate that reality counseling with the WDEP technique is effective in reducing nomophobia among junior high school students. This study provides important practical implications for school guidance and counseling services in designing interventions that are responsive to adolescents’ digital behavior problems in the technology-driven era

    EFFECTIVENESS OF RMT-BASED LEARNING TRAJECTORIES TO SUPPORT RELATIONAL UNDERSTANDING

    Straight line equations are one of the mathematical materials that are often difficult to understand. This difficulty is due to a teaching approach that often emphasizes memorizing formulas without a deep understanding, as well as a lack of reasoning and problem-solving exercises. This study aims to design a learning trajectory of straight line equations using the Rigorous Mathematical Thinking (RMT) approach and its effectiveness on students' relational understanding. The research method used is design research, which focuses on designing a learning trajectory and consists of three stages: preliminary analysis, experiment, and retrospective which are carried out in two cycles. The subjects of this study were 8th grade students of Palembang State Junior High School, with 32 students as participants in the pilot experiment and 36 students as participants in the teaching experiment, which were selected by purposive sampling. Data is collected through observation, written tests, and interviews. The data from the HLT design will be analyzed qualitatively and  the results of the pre-test and post-test will be analyzed quantitatively. The results of this study produce a learning trajectory consisting of two main activities i.e Solving problems related to line equations that go through two points, and perpendicular line equations. The learning trajectory developed is able to support students' relational understanding, where in the learning process, students are directed to utilize the various knowledge they have, determine the most effective and efficient strategies, provide detailed solutions, and believe in the truth of the answers they use in solving problems. In addition, pre and post test results, there is an increase in relational understanding, it can be concluded that the RMT-based learning trajectory is effective for improving students' relational understanding of students in learning straight line equation material.Persamaan garis lurus merupakan salah satu materi matematika yang sering kali sulit dipahami. Kesulitan ini disebabkan oleh pendekatan pengajaran yang sering kali menekankan pada hafalan rumus tanpa pemahaman yang mendalam, serta kurangnya latihan penalaran dan pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang lintasan pembelajaran persamaan garis lurus menggunakan pendekatan Rigorous Mathematical Thinking (RMT) serta efektivitasnya terhadap pemahaman relasional siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian desain, yang berfokus pada perancangan lintasan pembelajaran dan terdiri dari tiga tahap: analisis pendahuluan, eksperimen, dan retrospektif yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 8 SMP Negeri Palembang, dengan 32 siswa sebagai peserta pilot eksperimen dan 36 siswa sebagai peserta eksperimen pengajaran, yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes tertulis, dan wawancara. Data hasil rancangan HLT akan dianalisis secara kualitatif dan hasil pre-test dan post-test akan dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menghasilkan lintasan pembelajaran yang terdiri dari dua kegiatan utama yaitu Menyelesaikan masalah yang berkaitan dengan persamaan garis yang melalui dua titik dan persamaan garis yang tegak lurus. Lintasan pembelajaran yang dikembangkan ini mampu mendukung pemahaman relasional siswa, dimana dalam proses pembelajaran siswa diarahkan untuk memanfaatkan berbagai pengetahuan yang dimiliki, menentukan strategi yang paling efektif dan efisien, memberikan solusi yang detail, serta meyakini kebenaran jawaban yang mereka gunakan dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Selain itu, hasil yang didapatkan adalah hasil pre-test dan post-test terdapat peningkatan pemahaman relasional, maka dapat disimpulkan lintasan belajar berbasis RMT efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman relasional siswa dalam pembelajaran materi persamaan garis lurus.

    The Existence of Railway Transportation in the Cirebon Region, 1900–1942

    The need for transportation in the Cirebon region in the early twentieth century was primarily driven by the limited means of transporting plantation products, particularly sugarcane, to the port as the center of export distribution. At that time, the dominant mode of transport was the railway. Interestingly, since the 1900s Cirebon had two types of rail services, namely conventional trains and trams. Their existence not only accelerated the mobilization of plantation products but also reduced transportation costs, which had previously relied on traditional overland means. The role of the railway was highly significant for the sugar industry, as Cirebon was one of the key regions in the sugarcane plantation network in Java. However, the use of railways was not limited to sugar entrepreneurs. Over time, the railway network also served the mobility needs of the general population, both in terms of passenger transport and the shipment of other trade commodities. This study employs the historical method, which includes the stages of heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. This approach allows for a systematic examination of archival records, company reports, and colonial documents related to the dynamics of transportation in Cirebon. The findings reveal that the railway system in Cirebon was not only a vital infrastructure supporting the colonial plantation economy but also transformed into a public facility that accelerated urbanization, expanded local trade networks, and enhanced socio-economic mobility. Therefore, the railway in Cirebon played a dual role: as a key driver of the colonial plantation-based economy and as an instrument of transportation modernization that connected Cirebon with other regions in Java

    Being a migrant is one of the characteristics of Indonesian society, but it turns out that parenting patterns brought from the area of origin sometimes affect a person's lifestyle, especially students when they migrate. The purpose of this study was to see the influence of parenting patterns on the lifestyle of Rantau students at UIN FAS Bengkulu. This study was conducted quantitatively with a sample of 66 students. The results showed that parenting patterns did not have a significant effect on the lifestyle of UIN FAS students. There are other influences, namely peers and social media.
