Apakah yang Memiliki Akun Roleplay di Media Sosial X Kesepian? (Studi Literasi Dukungan Sosial dan Fear of Missing Out)

    No full text
Loneliness among social media users is often associated with dissatisfaction with real-life social relationships, which may encourage individuals to seek alternative forms of connection in virtual environments. One such phenomenon is the use of roleplay accounts on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), where users construct virtual relationships such as romantic partners, families, or friendship networks. This study aimed to analyze the influence of perceived social support and fear of missing out (FoMO) on loneliness among roleplay account users. A quantitative research approach with a correlational design was employed. The participants consisted of 385 roleplay account users on social media platform X, selected using the snowball sampling technique. Data were collected using standardized instruments, namely the UCLA Loneliness Scale (Version 3), the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), and the Fear of Missing Out Scale (FoMOS). Data analysis was conducted using multiple regression analysis to examine both partial and simultaneous effects of the independent variables on loneliness. The results indicated that social support and fear of missing out each had a significant partial effect on loneliness, with a significance value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). Furthermore, social support and FoMO simultaneously influenced loneliness, accounting for 48% of the variance. Higher levels of perceived social support were associated with lower levels of loneliness, while higher levels of FoMO were associated with increased loneliness. These findings suggest that although roleplay communities may provide a sense of belonging, psychological factors such as social support and FoMO remain critical determinants of loneliness. This study highlights the importance of strengthening perceived social support and managing FoMO to reduce loneliness among roleplay account users in online social environments

The number of inmates in Indonesia has continued to increase annually, resulting in overcrowding conditions in correctional institutions where inmate populations exceed facility capacity. This situation poses significant psychological challenges for inmates, particularly female inmates who are vulnerable to stress due to social isolation and limited access to support systems. This study aimed to examine the profile of social support, stress levels, and the relationship between social support and stress among female inmates at the Women’s Correctional Institution Class IIA Palembang. Social support in this study was not limited to family support but also included support from fellow inmates and correctional staff. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed. Data were analyzed using Spearman Rank Correlation with the assistance of SPSS version 26.0 for Windows. The results indicated that the majority of female inmates experienced moderate levels of social support (57 respondents; 71.25%) and moderate levels of stress (42 respondents; 52.25%). The correlation analysis revealed a negative correlation between social support and stress levels, with a correlation coefficient of r = −0.301 and a significance value (two-tailed) of p = 0.007 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate a low but statistically significant relationship between social support and stress levels among female inmates. Higher levels of social support were associated with lower stress levels, whereas lower social support was linked to higher stress levels. This study highlights the importance of strengthening social support systems within correctional institutions as a strategy to reduce stress among female inmates. The findings also provide practical implications for guidance and counseling services in correctional settings, emphasizing the role of psychosocial support from family, peers, and institutional staff in promoting inmates’ psychological well-being

The ability to dissect words into the smallest unit of language is not something many people can do. However, studies on linguistic awareness have shown that there is a correlation between morphological awareness (MA) and a language learner's level of language proficiency. This study aimed to investigate the morphological awareness of EFL teachers from formal and non-formal education; conventional school and English courses. The teachers-participants were selected from both institutions, tested with a morphological test, and interviewed to verify and confirm their MA test results. Descriptive statistic was used to analyze the results of tests and content analysis to analyze the interviews. Results of this study showed that the non-formal education EFL teachers demonstrated a better understanding of morphological knowledge than the formal education EFL teachers. Moreover, all teachers acknowledged the importance of morphological awareness in their language learning teaching. This study not only contributes to the growing area of morphology within the Indonesian context, but it also encourages teachers, particularly from formal education, to strengthen their understanding of morphological knowledge to design learning materials that fulfill students’ needs of morphological knowledge and awareness, and invites educators and policymakers to consider designing morphologically-focused content

One of the main obstacles in the teaching and learning process at MA Darul Ulum is the low student interest in learning due to the use of conventional and abstract media, such as textbooks. This study aims to determine the validity and student responses toward learning media developed using the Prezi application with an elaboration approach. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) design based on the 4D model, which consists of four stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. Data analysis was conducted descriptively based on expert validation and student response questionnaires. The results of the media validation showed scores of 87.96% from media experts, 85% from material experts, and 91.67% from language experts, all of which fall into the “very valid” category. Field test results indicated that the elaboration-based Prezi media effectively enhanced students’ learning outcomes. Student response questionnaires obtained percentages of 91.91% in the small-scale trial and 89.89% in the large-scale trial, both categorized as “very good.” Based on these findings, the elaboration-based Prezi media is considered valid, practical, and effective for use in teaching the human respiratory system topic in senior high school biology

Traditional multiple-choice tests frequently fail to capture the subtle cognitive ability of mathematical abstraction in subjects like trigonometric ratio. The purpose of this study was to create and evaluate a performance-based evaluation tool to gauge students' proficiency with mathematical abstraction in the context of trigonometric ratio. Three constructed-response items made up the instrument, and each one was assessed using a unique analytical rubric that was in line with revised Bloom's taxonomy and abstraction processes. Following person-fit screening, 700 replies from 913 tenth-grade students in six Indonesian high schools were kept. Strong item fit, suitable threshold values, and high discrimination indices were found via Generalized Partial Credit Model (GPCM) analysis, demonstrating the instrument's efficacy in distinguishing between different levels of abstraction. Unidimensionality was confirmed by exploratory factor analysis, which had an excellent model fit and explained 41.0% of the total variance (RMSEA = 0.0301; TLI = 0.9775). Item difficulty levels matched the sample's ability distribution quite well, according to person-item mappings. The construct validity of the analytical rubric was further reinforced by high factor loadings and communalities. Results show that the created tool is theoretically and psychometrically solid, providing a strong means of evaluating Mathematical Abstraction in HOTS. The study demonstrates how GPCM-based analytical scoring may be used to capture complex cognitive performance and guide teaching strategies in accordance with the Merdeka Curriculum

Students' mathematical problem solving ability in solving word problems still faces various challenges, especially in terms of transforming contextual problems into appropriate mathematical models. Many students have difficulty in identifying variables, compiling equations, and validating the solutions obtained, resulting in low success rates in solving complex mathematical problems. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct an in-depth analysis of students' problem solving abilities to identify the specific obstacles they face and the strategies that can be developed to overcome them. This study aims to analyze students' problem solving abilities through mathematical modeling strategies in solving word problems. A qualitative approach with a phenomenological design is used to explore students' thinking processes in depth. The subjects of the study were 31 ninth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Klaten who were selected by purposive sampling based on variations in academic ability. Data collection was carried out through observation, written tests, and in-depth interviews, then analyzed inductively. The results showed that students who answered correctly were able to understand the context of the problem, compile mathematical models appropriately, complete calculations and interpret the results systematically, especially on questions with low to medium difficulty levels. Conversely, students who answered incorrectly had difficulty in transforming the problem into mathematical form and evaluating the final results, especially on complex questions. The conclusion of this study is that the mathematical modeling strategy is effective in improving problem solving skills, but further emphasis is needed on the transformation and reflection stages to optimize students' understanding and validation of solutions

This research aims to explore the geometric shapes and structures found in the Uma Lengge traditional house with a qualitative approach based on the ethnographic model. This research was conducted in Maria Village, Wawo Sub-district, which was chosen because of the existence of the Uma Lengge traditional house and its role in cultural preservation and the development of the tourism sector. The problem raised in this research is the lack of studies linking the architectural design of Uma Lengge with mathematical concepts, especially within the framework of ethnomathematics, which has the potential to provide new insights into the relationship between culture and science. Respondents were selected using a purposive sampling technique, including custodians, cultural experts, and conservationists who have in-depth knowledge of the history and construction of Uma Lengge. Data collection was conducted through direct observation, literature study, and in-depth interviews. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and verification to ensure the validity and reliability of research findings. The results show that the architectural design of Uma Lengge combines geometric concepts in flat and spatial shapes, including patterns of triangles, squares, rectangles, triangular prisms, cubes, blocks, and pyramid frustums. These geometric structures not only reflect beauty and function, but also reflect local wisdom in the use of traditional mathematical concepts. This research makes an important contribution in expanding the understanding of ethnomathematics as part of cultural heritage that can be integrated into the mathematics learning process. It is recommended to conduct more comprehensive follow-up research on the application of other mathematical concepts, as well as develop ethnomathematics-based learning modules to increase students' appreciation of mathematics in a cultural context
