    The structure, competences and tasks of institutions of the crisis management

    Since April 26th,2007 in Poland, the crisis management act has been in force. It is the first legal act of system defining which organs are appropriate for the crisis management matters, their tasks and financing rules of the crisis management tasks. Following this act the Prime Minister in the regulation nr 64 of 15th of June 2007 appointed the Government Representative to organize the Governmental Centre of Emergency. It inspired the Author to present the structures of the crisis management, their competences and obligations resulting from the above mentioned act in the context of standards of the EU and NATO member countries

    The Logistics of Polish Foreign Trade in the First Years of the Transformation (1989-1995)

    The article presents logistics of the Polish foreign trade in 1989-1995, especially in the eastern and western directions. The main aim of the article is presentation of the reorientation processes of the direction of the Polish foreign trade by 180 degrees; from the East to the West. It was an unusual logistic operation, crucial from the economical and political point of view for creating new connections between Poland and Western countries (European Union), instead of connections with USSR and soviet bloc (post-soviet). In the meantime a trade was built with Russia based on the partnership rules. Poland was organizing new structures and connections "on ruins" of the communist bloc, without participation of USSR (Russia). Poland's adaptation to the process of the trade liberalization in Europe and in the world also took place. It required creating of new international agreements, transport networks etc. The process made it possible to create in few years a logistic base for the strong "anchoring" of Poland in the West, for the first time on such a wide scale for centuries

    The article comprises an analysis of economies of eight Central and East European countries (CEE) in 2002-2007. Basic macroeconomic indexes (GDP, unemployment rate, inflation rate, total demand, public sector financial deficit, public debt) of individual countries, which joined the European Union in 2004 are presented and compared with aggregated indexes for EU-8 and EU-15. Moreover, development trends of described countries' economies in successive years of the analysed period and their competitiveness assessment are compared

Automotive industry is in the world is a branch of wide range of activities producing new cars and creating jobs in sector of manufacturing and services. Storing is an extremely important procedure in the manufacturing chain throughout maintaining continuity of production or assuring cars availability on the required level. It is presented set of basic reliability indexes and functions which influence warehouse stock in manufacturing and services.     Depending on the type of vehicle, its technical parameters as well as the preferred make - there are different conditions for vehicle usage, which subsequently influence the warranty check-ups, whether it be periodic or not obligatory. In the article, using the example of the Renault make as well as the comparison with Opel make, there was shown the scope and the tasks for technical check-ups. In addition, there was also shown the price comparison at specific times of technical check-ups and additional servicing steps during three-year vehicle usage

    The Praszka Plant, built in the 1970's (historically the business started in 1950's) and originally operated as a state owned enterprise, then Visteon Poland S.A. and now Tedrive Poland Ltd. is a manufacturing location of the Tedrive group consisting of 4 production facilities and 5 engineering, with 2600 employees worldwide with 0,5 billion Euro revenue. Tedrive is one of the world's suppliers of components to the automotive industry. Tedrive Poland employs ca. 880 people and its annual revenue of 120 million Euro places the plant in a middle size range companies. The current product portfolio: driveshafts, hot coiled suspension springs, aluminum pressure castings, angle sensors (lighting), door speakers and aftermarket applications. The customer base consists of major OEMs like Ford, Fiat, Opel, Isuzu, Volvo, Jaguar, Daimler or BMW. The plant logistics embraces internal and external logistics as well as systemic logistics solutions like Kanban, SMF, material handling scenarios, warehousing, packaging management, Total Productive Maintenance or shipping processes. Certifications of QS9000, ISO9001, TS16949, Q1 and ISO14001 and their integration are aimed to ensure meeting the company goals. With the motto: "Operational Excellence is to never stop improving" Tedrive believes and invests in teaching/learning and continuously improves through stable process oriented activities as well as new initiatives like EFQM.
