El estudio de la Industrialización del siglo XIX a través de la difusión del Patrimonio Industrial local mediante TikTok. Propuesta de ABP para 1º de Bachillerato
Full text linkIndustrialization and Heritage related to this phenomenon is not usually present in the school curricula of ESO and Bachillerato, which increases its ignorance and shows its high degree of lack of protection. In view of this situation, this work focuses on the elaboration of an intervention proposal in a group of 1st of Bachillerato, in the subject of History of the Contemporary World. For this purpose, a bibliographical review is carried out in relation to the current state of Biscay's industrial heritage, where the proposal is focused. Throughout this work we also delve into the active methodology of Project Based Learning (PBL), through which to promote meaningful learning with the students as the protagonist. All this without forgetting the importance of ICT as a very useful tool, but also to be aware of the possible risks. Finally, the conclusions after the elaboration of this work have shown the degree of achievement of the proposed objectives, showing the need to propose a methodological change and the presence of heritage elements, especially of proximity, in the classroom, achieving to link students with their environment and make them participate, with education, of the social reality that surrounds them.La Industrialización y el Patrimonio relacionado con dicho fenómeno no acostumbra a estar presente en los currículos escolares de ESO y Bachillerato, lo que acrecienta su desconocimiento y evidencia su alto grado de desprotección. Ante esta situación, este trabajo se enfoca en la elaboración de una propuesta de intervención en un grupo de 1º de Bachillerato, en asignatura de Historia del Mundo Contemporáneo. Para ello, se realiza una revisión bibliográfica en lo relacionado con el actual estado del Patrimonio industrial vizcaíno, donde se enfoca la propuesta. A lo largo de este trabajo se profundiza también en la metodología activa del Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos (ABP), mediante la que potenciar un aprendizaje significativo con el alumnado como protagonista. Todo ello sin olvidar la importancia de las TIC como herramientas de gran utilidad, pero de las que conocer también los posibles riesgos. Finalmente, las conclusiones tras la elaboración de este trabajo han mostrado el grado obtención de los objetivos planteados, evidenciando la necesidad de proponer un cambio metodológico y la presencia de los elementos patrimoniales, especialmente de proximidad, en las aulas, logrando así vincular al alumno con su entorno y hacerle partícipe, mediante la educación, de la realidad social que le rodea
Evaluating ChatGPT-Generated Linear Algebra Formative Assessments
Full text linkThis research explored Large Language Models potential uses on formative assessment for mathematical problem-solving process. The study provides a conceptual analysis of feedback and how the use of these models is related in the context of formative assessment for Linear Algebra problems. Particularly, the performance of a popular model known as ChatGPT in mathematical problems fails on reasoning, proofs, model construction, among others. Formative assessment is a process used by teachers and students during instruction that provides feedback to adjust ongoing teaching and learning to improve student’s achievement of intended instructional outcomes. The study analyzed and evaluated feedback provided to engineering students in their solutions, from both, instructors and ChatGPT, against fine-grained criteria of a formative feedback model that includes affective aspects. Considering preliminary outputs, and to improve performance of feedback from both agents’ instructors and ChatGPT, we developed a framework for formative assessment in mathematical problemsolving using a Large Language Model (LLM). We designed a framework to generate prompts, supported by common Linear Algebra mistakes within the context of concept development and problem-solving strategies. In this framework, the instructor acts as an agent to verify tasks in a math problem assigned to students, establishing a virtuous cycle of learning of queries supported by ChatGPT. Results revealed potentialities and challenges on how to improve feedback on graduate-level math problems, by which both educators and students adapt teaching and learning strategies

The use of GenAI in educational settings is becoming increasingly popular and offers a range of opportunities and challenges. This special issue explores the management and integration of GenAI in educational settings, including the ethical considerations, best practices, and opportunities. The potential of GenAI in education is vast. By using algorithms and data, GenAI can create original content that can be used to augment traditional teaching methods, creating a more interactive and personalized learning experience. In addition, GenAI can be utilized as an assessment tool and for providing feedback to students using generated content. For instance, it can be used to create custom quizzes, generate essay prompts, or even grade essays. The use of GenAI as an assessment tool can reduce the workload of teachers and help students receive prompt feedback on their work. Incorporating GenAI in educational settings also poses challenges related to academic integrity. With availability of GenAI models, students can use them to study or complete their homework assignments, which can raise concerns about the authenticity and authorship of the delivered work. Therefore, it is important to ensure that academic standards are maintained, and the originality of the student's work is preserved. This issue highlights the need for implementing ethical practices in the use of GenAI models and ensuring that the technology is used to support and not replace the student's learning experience
The task of the educator as a help to the personal integration oriented to happiness
Full text linkThe current article & PRIME;s main purpose is to show the task of the educator as a help for the personal integration of the pupil whose aim is happiness. To do this the present work leans on the distinction between integral education and personal education. The notion of synderesis is approached as what enables the person to take charge of his own growth and to orient it towards happiness. METHOD. It is a theoretical type study based on a bibliographical revision of the most relevant and updated literature on the topic. OUTCOME AND DISCUSSION. Being character formation a fundamental axis of integral education, it is not enough if we consider the person as a who. The educator task is double and takes his full sense when it helps his pupil to integrate his growth (1) and to orient it towards happiness (2), which is no other thing than giving other the nature & PRIME;s perfecting acquired through virtue.El presente artículo tiene como objetivo principal mostrar la tarea del educador como ayuda a la integración personal del educando que tiene por fin la felicidad. Para ello el trabajo se apoya en la distinción entre educación integral e integración personal. Se aborda la noción de sindéresis como aquello que capacita a la persona para hacerse cargo de su propio crecimiento y de orientarlo a la felicidad. MÉTODO. Se trata de un estudio de carácter teórico fundamentado en una revisión bibliográfica de la literatura más relevante y actual de la temática tratada. RESULTADOS Y DISCUSIÓN. Si bien la formación del carácter es un eje fundamental de la educación integral, es insuficiente si consideramos a la persona como un quién. Neuromarketing coming of age: scientific mapping of 18 years of research in the field
Full text linkThis research focuses on obtaining the intellectual structure of the scientific area of Neuromarketing and Consumer Neuroscience. To this purpose, a bibliometric analysis of keyword co-occurrence is performed on a corpus of 355 articles extracted from the SCI-E and SSCI editions of the WoS Main Collec-tion, covering the 18 full years between 2005 and 2022. The results show the most prolific and cited authors and journals, as well as the intellectual structure of the field, divided into nine clusters: Electroencephalography (EEG), Neuro-economics, Impact, and Eye-Tracking (motor topics); Event-Related Potential (ERP) (highly developed and isolated topics); Perception, Reward, and Behavior (emerging or declining topics); Arousal (basic or transversal). Following a thor-ough analysis of the results, we discuss the contributions of the area to under-standing human behavior, its methodological contributions, the scope of the research field, and the ethical considerations of various stakeholders. One of the fundamental contributions of this work consists of identifying the main lines, methodological challenges, and contributions to society of the scientific area, ordering and categorizing a large part of the research carried out to date.Esta investigación se enfoca en la obtención de la estructura intelectual del área científica del neuromarketing y la neurociencia del consumidor. Para ello, se realiza un análisis bibliométrico de co-ocurrencia de palabras clave sobre un corpus de 355 artículos extraídos de las ediciones SCI-E y SSCI de la Colección Principal de WoS, que cubren los 18 años completos comprendidos entre 2005 y 2022. Los resultados muestran los autores y revistas más prolíficos y citados, así como la estructura intelectual del área, dividida en nueve clusters: Electroencephalography (EEG), Neuroeconomics, Impact y Eye-Tracking (temas motores); Event Related Potential (ERP) (temas altamente desarrollados y aislados); Perception, Reward y Behavior (temas emergentes o en declive); Arousal (temas básicos o transversales). Tras un análisis pormenorizado de los resultados, se discuten las contribuciones del área a la comprensión del comportamiento humano, sus aportes metodológicos, el alcance del campo de investigación y las consideraciones éticas de diversos grupos de interés. Full text linkIn the current social context, permeated by the transhumanist philosophy, the use of animal tissues and organs to save the lives of humans who are not eligible for traditional allotransplantation is seen as a viable alternative.
This literature review aims to uncover the main ethical implications of xenotransplantation research and implementation by investigating the consequences for human, animal and ecosystem health.
In this way, it will be possible to make a well-argued ethical judgement based on three of the main currents of bioethics: principlism, personalism and virtue bioethics.
More ethical alternatives to xenotransplantation, such as 3D bioprinting, cellular autoemblaxation and regenerative medicine based on induced pluripotent stem cells, among others, will also be presented.En el contexto social actual, impregnado por la filosofía transhumanista, se vislumbra como un alternativa viable el uso de tejidos y órganos procedentes de animales para salvar la vida de los humanos que no pueden optar a un alotrasplante tradicional.
Esta revisión bibliográfica pretende desvelar las principales repercusiones éticas derivadas de la investigación e implementación de los xenotrasplantes indagando en sus consecuencias para la salud humana, animal y ecosistémica.
De esta forma, se estará en disposición de emitir un juicio ético bien argumentado basado en tres de las corrientes principales de la bioética: el principialismo, el personalismo y la bioética de las virtudes.
También se presenterán alternativas más éticas a los xenotrasplantes que permitirían subsanar la escasez de órganos como la bioimpresión 3D, el autoemblaje celular o la medicina regenerativa basada en las células madre pluripotentes inducidas, entre otras

Full text linkThe following proposal for pedagogical and educational innovation is proposed as a fundamental purpose, to strengthen intercultural processes in the classroom, through the use of activities focused on TICs and the blog tool in basic secondary school students. In this sense, the work proposes an approach and analysis related to theoretical elements such as multiculturalism, interculturality and the use of TICs in education. Taking this into account, the planned processes in each of the activities of the innovation proposal correspond to active methodologies, collaborative and cooperative work, all of which allow the students' learning to be truly meaningful and reflective regarding the proposed themes. The results obtained show that the design of the proposal favors the strengthening of intercultural processes in the classroom, enhancing the capabilities and skills of the students, in relation to the mastery and appropriation of technological tools in the development of their learning processes. teaching-learning. Teniendo en cuenta esto, los procesos planificados en cada una de las actividades de la propuesta de innovación, corresponden a metodologías activas, trabajo colaborativo y cooperativo, todas las cuales permiten que el aprendizaje de los estudiantes sea realmente significativo y reflexivo frente a las temáticas propuestas. Los resultados obtenidos, evidencian que el diseño de la propuesta favorece el fortalecimiento de los procesos de interculturalidad en el aula de clase, potenciando las capacidades y habilidades de los estudiantes, en relación al dominio y apropiación de herramientas tecnológicas en el desarrollo de sus procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Music Therapy and trauma in the NICU: Family centered multimodal intervention
Full text linkThe following intervention proposal in Music Therapy is aimed at parents or caregivers of babies admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Its objective is to offer them a framework of containment in the face of the traumatic event experienced, favor their psychological well-being and consequently strengthen the bond with the newborn. This multimodal intervention is a complementary support to the RBL method used at the NICU, includes also a group intervention with the GIM method and the creation of a new environmental music model called Birthing Harp. It is an easy-to- implement intervention and a valuable contribution to the humanization of the hospital system.La siguiente propuesta de intervención en musicoterapia está dirigida a los padres o cuidadores de bebés ingresados en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales (UCIN). La misma tiene como objetivo ofrecerles un espacio de contención frente al evento traumático vivido, favorecer el bienestar psicológico de los mismos y consecuentemente potenciar el vínculo con el neonato. Esta intervención multimodal es un soporte complementario al método RBL realizado en la UCIN, incluye además una intervención grupal con el método GIM y la creación de un nuevo modelo de música ambiental llama- do Birthing Harp. Es una intervención de fácil implementación y un valioso aporte a la sensibilización del sistema hospitalario
Music therapy in the rehabilitation of the motor function of upper limbs in patients with multiple sclerosis using the keyboard
Full text linkBackground: Multiple sclerosis is a chronic, inflammatory, and disabling disease of the central nervous system. It affects any functional area, mainly people of productive age. Rehabilitation must be comprehensive and involve the different systems simultaneously. Neurological music therapy offers strategies in which several brain areas can be stimulated at once. Objective: To analyze the effects of keyboard music therapy applied to patients with multiple sclerosis with compromised short pathways. Methods:This work is a single case study, in which 22 music therapy sessions are offered to a right-handed patient with multiple sclerosis with compromised motor function of the right upper limb. Both hands were subjected to the same process. Results: The function of the left hand remained without relevant changes, while the right hand achieved significant and sustained changes in the 9-pin test, which remained constant from session 15 onwards. Similarly, the patient reports having regained the ability to perform a series of activities of daily living with her right hand. Conclusions: It is concluded that the process of musical interventions favored the functional recovery of the right extremity in this patient.Antecedentes: La esclerosis múltiple es una enfermedad crónica, inflamatoria e incapacitante del siste- ma nervioso central. Afecta cualquier área funcional, principalmente a personas en edad productiva. La rehabilitación debe ser integral e involucrar los diferentes sistemas de manera simultánea. La musicote- rapia neurológica ofrece estrategias en las que se pueden estimular varias áreas cerebrales a la vez. Objetivo: Analizar los efectos de la musicoterapia con teclado aplicada a paciente con esclerosis múlti- ple con compromiso de vías cor tas.
Métodos: Este trabajo es un estudio de caso único, en el que se ofrecen 22 sesiones de musicoterapia a una paciente diestra portadora de esclerosis múltiple con compromiso de la función motora de miembro superior derecho. Se sometieron a ambas manos al mismo proceso. Resultados: La función de la mano izquierda se mantuvo sin cambios relevantes, mientras que la mano derecha logra cambios significativos y sostenidos en la prueba de 9 pines, que se mantuvieron constan- tes a partir de la sesión 15. La paciente reporta haber retomado la capacidad para realizar actividades cotidianas con la mano derecha. Conclusiones: Se concluye que el proceso de intervenciones musicales favoreció la recuperación funcio- nal de la extremidad derecha en esta paciente
Music therapy in the process of recovery and liberation from gender-based violence: a case study
Full text linkMusic therapy, increasingly widespread in integrative therapeutic interventions, offers a range of possibilities in supporting victims and survivors of gender violence.The present project aims to outline a case study, based on an innovative context.Taking as reference a transformative narrative and moving away from stereotyping, moving outside the reductionist paradigm for offered by specifically addressing therapeutic intervention with the Muslim population, from an intersectional perspective, focusing on the case of a woman who, due to religious interpretation, rejects the use of music.That is why, inspired by the Andalusian music therapy model and its similarities with Helen Bonny's GIM model, the intention is to verify the effect that the musicality of the Quran generates in reducing the state of anxiety and stress associated with exposure to any of the aspects of abuse. Analyzing the results that have been obtained throughout the entire process, it can be concluded that the contribution of the recitation of the Quran, as a receptive method in a music therapy program, is positiveLa musicoterapia, cada más difundida en las intervenciones terapéuticas integrativas, ofrece un abanico de posibilidades en el acompañamiento a víctimas y supervivientes de violencia de género. El presente trabajo pretende esbozar un estudio de caso, a partir de un contexto innovador. Tomando como referencia una narrativa transformadora y alejándose de la estereotipia, se transita fuera del paradigma reduccionista para ofrecer una aportación novedosa, al tratar específicamente la intervención terapéutica con población musulmana, desde la perspectiva interseccional, centrándose en la casuística de una mujer que, por interpretación religiosa, rechaza el uso de la música. Es por ello que, inspirándose en el modelo de musicoterapia andalusí y sus similitudes con el modelo GIM, de Helen Bonny, se pretende comprobar el efecto que genera la musicalidad del Alcorán en la reducción del estado de ansiedad y estrés asociados a la exposición a cualquiera de las vertientes de maltrato. Analizados los resultados que se han obtenido a lo largo de todo el proceso se puede concluir que la contribución de la recitación del Alcorán, como método receptivo en un programa de musicoterapia, es positiva
