Linwood Dozier Latta

Linwood Dozier Latta (1882-1961) was born in Wilmington, NC and worked for 18 years with N. Jacobi Hardware Company. In 1924 he moved to Goldsboro, NC. In 1929 he returned to Wilmington and became Secretary-Treasurer of the Tide Water Power Company. He was elected a Director of the company in 1932, and retired in 1947. He was a veteran of World War I, and served on the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners from 1922-1925. He is buried in Oakdale Cemetery

Mary Gertrude "Trudy" Loughlin Bomar (1927-2012) was the only one in her family to be born outside of the state of North Carolina. She was born in Florida, but the family returned to NC, and she was part of the New Hanover High School Class of 1944. As a young woman she worked for International Paper in Georgetown, SC, where she met her husband
