Louise Williams Love

Louise Williams Love (1909-1994) was born in Wilmington, NC. She is the daughter of James Sprunt and Mary Louise McGirt Williams. Louise attended New Hanover High School and went to both Greensboro and Salem Colleges. She married Thaddeus D. "Pigeon" Love, New Hanover County Auditor. Louise worked as the Executive Secretary for the Wilmington Merchants Association and was awarded the prestigious "Bell Cup" for outstanding achievement. She was a civic leader in the community, serving as President of the Junior League, member of the D.A.R., and as the first Director of the Service for the Aging. She was also an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. Louise is buried in Oakdale Cemetery
