John Winecoff

John Winecoff (1949- ) joined the Wilmington, NC Police Department in May of 1971, three months after the firebombing of Mike's Grocery Store and the events of the Wilmington Ten. He felt that the police were caught in the middle of those events, and that the truth has not yet come out about those days. He was a police officer for the city for 30 years and retired in 2001. He was part of the first mounted police patrol in Wilmington in 40 years, in 1988. He is a board member of the North Carolina Retired Peace Officers Association, Inc

Randolph Dellago (1947- ) grew up in Yaupon Beach, NC. He graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, which he attended on a drama scholarship. He has been involved with acting and directing in many local productions such as the Thalian Association and other groups since age 19. He served as the Artistic Director for the Thalian Association for several years, and was also the cultural arts director for the City of Wilmington

Dr. Robert J. Andrews
Dr. Robert Jackson Andrews (1921-), was born January 21, 1921 in Wilmington, North Carolina. He attended UNC Chapel Hill from 1943-44 and the University of Tennesse, Memphis, in 1946. His parents were Vernon and Edna Hall Andrews and he married Miss Mary Leila Carwile. He was past President of the New Hanover, Pender and Brunswick County Medical Society and Chief of Staff at Cape Fear Memorial Hospital. He was also very active in his church and in club work. He was a charter member of the Amer. Board of FP

Clifton L. Long (1941- ) was the principal, and Gwendolyn L. Robinson (1931- ) and Russell D. Simmons (1943- ) were the assistant principals at Lake Forest School in this photo, probably when it was a 7th and 8th grade center in the early 1970s. All three went on to work in other positions in the New Hanover County school system: Clifton Long was later the assistant superintendent for operations in the 1980s, Dr. Russell Simmons was the principal at Lake Forest and Virgo Middle schools, and Ms. Robinson became the principal of Dudley Junior High which became Howe Elementary in the late 1970s
