One of the important things in English is grammar. It is because grammar is one of the language elements that the students need to study well before they produce sentences in English. One of the materials that must be learned by the eleventh grade students of SMA NU Hasyim Asy’ari Kudus in academic year 2011/2012 is passive voice material. The writer found that the students have difficulties in learning that material. A syntactic priming technique is one of the techniques which can be used to teach passive voice material. It used to help the students to master passive voice material. The objectives of the research are to find (1) the mastery of passive voice for the 11th grade students of SMA NU Hasyim Asy’ari Kudus who are taught by using syntactic priming technique in academic year 2011/2012 (2) the mastery of passive voice for the 11th grade students of SMA NU Hasyim Asy’ari Kudus who are not taught by using syntactic priming technique in academic year 2011/2012 (3) the significant difference between the mastery of passive voice of the 11th grade students of SMA NU Hasyim Asy’ari Kudus who are taught and who are not taught by using syntactic priming technique in academic year 2011/2012. The research is an experimental research. To collect the data the writer made 40 multiple choice items. This test is given to 40 students of the 11th grade students of SMA NU Hasyim Asy’ari Kudus in academic year 2011/2012 divided as control group and experimental group as object of the research. To get the experimental group and control group, the writer used cluster random sampling. The result of the research is there is any significant difference between the mastery of passive voice of the eleventh grade students of SMA NU Hasyim Asy’ari Kudus who are taught and who are not taught by using syntactic priming technique in academic year 2011/2012. The writer got t-test = 1,56 and the level of significance 20% t-table=1,30. It mean the null hypothesis (Ho) is denied and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is confirmed. The suggestions of this research are (1) for the English teachers, it is better to teach about passive voice material by using syntactic priming technique because it can help the teachers in teaching passive voice material easily. The process of teaching and learning will be more effective and efficient. (2) For the students, in mastering passive voice material they should more practice in constructing the sentences in passive form. They have to habitually recognize regular and irregular verbs besides they understand the passive structures

In the recent year, stroke has been one of the major cause of disability among adults. Hemiparesis or paralysis on one side of the body is the most common disability when there is an interruption in the blood flow to the brain cells. It is not permanent, through intensive treatment and training, the patient can regain his ability to move and control the paralyzed part of his body. However, the most common method of rehabilitation requires assistance from at least one therapist, and it will be labor intensive and costly for the patient. One of the possible solution that is currently been developed by the researchers, is by using robot to reduce the therapist cost and increase the frequency of the treatment. Many robots and system have been developed by the researchers to help the patient undergo the treatment from walking, talking, chewing and grabbing item. To fully making use of the device, a good design and system that suit the need of the patient is required. This project will focus on development of robot system to facilitate the stroke patient for independent training and bring it to the market. The focus in this report is to design and develop an EMG based exoskeleton to help the patient in training his paralyzed fingers. For the convenience of the patient, a device which can easily be controlled is required. For the design, the author will develop a simple yet effective exoskeleton to be easily carried and used at the patient’s own time.Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering

Stunting in children is a national problem caused by many factors that harm human resources in the future, including an impact on decreasing intelligence, vulnerability to disease, hampering economic growth, work productivity, exacerbating inequality, and height growth is shorter than age in general. Stunting in children under five is a consequence of several factors that are often associated with poverty, including nutrition, health, sanitation, and the environment There are five main factors that cause stunting, namely poverty, social and cultural, increased exposure to infectious diseases, food insecurity and community access to health service. The purpose of this literature review was to analyze the factors that influence stunting. The article was obtained from a SINTA accredited journal published in the 2013-2023 period with the same title, as well as the same research design. The selected articles were then tested for plagiarism, and nine articles with the smallest plagiarism level were selected. Analysis PICO (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome) is carried out on each article, followed by making conclusions. The results of the analysis determined that factors that influence stunting include social and cultural, increased exposure to infectious diseases, food insecurity and community access to health services alone or together. The author hopes that this research will further greatly help how to do health promotion, case finding and prevention, and, many sectors must be involved and work together for the problem of stunting
