    Pentas Seni Anak-Anak dalam Memperingati HUT ke-80 Republik Indonesia sebagai Sarana Pemberdayaan Komunitas

    Peringatan HUT ke-80 Republik Indonesia di RT 03 Desa Banjarbendo dilaksanakan melalui penyelenggaraan pentas seni yang digagas bersama oleh warga setempat. Kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) dan Service-Learning (SL). Melalui PAR, masyarakat terlibat aktif sejak tahap identifikasi kebutuhan, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, hingga evaluasi. Sementara itu, SL memberikan mahasiswa kesempatan untuk belajar melalui keterlibatan langsung, refleksi, dan pelayanan kepada masyarakat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kreativitas, rasa percaya diri, dan keberanian anak-anak dalam menampilkan potensi seni mereka. Selain itu, kegiatan ini memperkuat solidaritas sosial, mempererat hubungan antarwarga, serta menumbuhkan kebanggaan terhadap budaya lokal. Kegiatan ini menjadi sarana pembelajaran reflektif yang menghubungkan teori dengan praktik. Dengan demikian, pentas seni tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai perayaan, tetapi juga sebagai instrumen pemberdayaan komunitas dan pembelajaran transformatif. The commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia in RT 03, Banjarbendo Village, was carried out through an arts performance jointly initiated by residents. This activity used a Participatory Action Research (PAR) and Service-Learning (SL) approach. Through PAR, the community was actively involved from the need’s identification stage, through planning, implementation, and evaluation. Meanwhile, SL provided students with the opportunity to learn through direct involvement, reflection, and service to the community. The results of the activity showed an increase in creativity, self-confidence, and courage in children in showcasing their artistic potential. In addition, this activity strengthened social solidarity, strengthened relationships between residents, and fostered pride in local culture. This activity served as a means of reflective learning that connected theory with practice. Thus, the arts performance functioned not only as a celebration but also as an instrument for community empowerment and transformative learning

    Design of an Edge Computing–Based Security System with Multimodal Face and Voice Biometric Authentication

    The increasing number of intrusion and unauthorized room access incidents necessitates the development of a security system that is more intelligent, responsive, and resistant to forgery. Conventional security systems or card-based identification methods are highly vulnerable to theft, duplication, and misuse, highlighting the need for biometric authentication that can operate independently without reliance on centralized servers. In this study, an edge computing approach is implemented by utilizing a Raspberry Pi as a local processing unit capable of performing real-time data processing without requiring an internet connection. A RaspiCam camera is employed to capture facial images, which are then detected using the YOLO (You Only Look Once) algorithm to achieve fast and efficient face detection. The detected faces are subsequently recognized using a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). To further enhance security, a voice-based authentication stage is applied using the Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) method to verify user identity. Experimental results demonstrate that the face recognition module achieves an accuracy of up to 96.5% under normal lighting conditions, while the voice recognition module reaches an accuracy of 94.7% in a quiet environment with a signal-to-noise ratio of 30 dB. Both authentication processes are executed sequentially with an average processing time of less than 500 ms, enabling real-time operation on an edge device. This approach provides a robust two-factor biometric authentication system that can be deployed without dependence on cloud-based services

    Revitalisasi Karang Taruna melalui Lomba Edukatif dalam Peringatan HUT ke-80 Republik Indonesia

    Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di Desa Jemundo Taman Sidoarjo difokuskan pada penguatan peran Karang Taruna tingkat RT melalui lomba edukatif dalam peringatan HUT ke-80 Republik Indonesia. Kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui teknik observasi dan wawancara yang melibatkan pemuda Karang Taruna, perangkat desa, serta masyarakat setempat. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk menilai efektivitas program yang dilaksanakan. Hasil kegiatan lomba edukatif, seperti cerdas cermat, mewarnai, dan keterampilan kreatif, menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran pemuda terhadap lingkungan sekitar, kemampuan komunikasi dengan masyarakat, serta penguatan jiwa kepemimpinan. Selain itu, lomba edukatif dalam rangka peringatan HUT RI mampu membangkitkan kembali minat pemuda untuk aktif berorganisasi. Meskipun pengabdian ini memiliki keterbatasan pada cakupan wilayah, waktu pelaksanaan, dan jenis lomba yang diselenggarakan, kegiatan ini terbukti efektif merevitalisasi peran Karang Taruna di tingkat RT serta memerlukan pengembangan program yang lebih beragam, berkelanjutan, dan didukung lintas pihak. Community service activities in Jemundo Taman Village, Sidoarjo, focused on strengthening the role of the neighborhood association (RT) youth organization (Karang Taruna) through educational competitions in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. This activity used a qualitative approach through observation and interview techniques involving Karang Taruna youth, village officials, and the local community. Data were analyzed descriptively to assess the effectiveness of the implemented program. The results of educational competitions, such as quizzes, coloring, and creative skills, showed an increase in youth awareness of the surrounding environment, communication skills with the community, and strengthened leadership skills. In addition, educational competitions in commemoration of the Indonesian Independence Day were able to rekindle youth interest in active organizational activities. Although this service had limitations in terms of area coverage, implementation time, and types of competitions held, this activity proved effective in revitalizing the role of Karang Taruna at the neighborhood association (RT) level and requires the development of more diverse, sustainable programs with cross-stakeholder support

    Implementation of Digital Library Web Application Development Using Agile Methods

    The advancement of information technology has brought significant changes to the management of library systems. Traditional methods that rely on manual record-keeping are gradually transitioning to web-based digital systems to improve efficiency and accessibility of information. This study examines the implementation of the Scrum methodology in the development of a digital library web application. Scrum was selected due to its flexibility, adaptability to evolving requirements, and its ability to enhance collaboration within the development team. The results of this study show that the application of the Scrum framework accelerates the development process, reduces errors, and produces an application that meets user needs

    Design and Development of a Web-Based Employee Leave Management Information System at PT. Sekar Laut, Tbk

    Information systems that specifically manage personnel data require special attention, particularly due to their role in ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in processing employee-related data such as employee data entry, data editing, data retrieval, and especially employee leave management. The existing employee leave management system at PT. Sekar Laut, Tbk is still not optimal. Employees are required to fill out manual leave request forms and wait for approval from supervisors, while inaccuracies in employee leave balances frequently occur. To address these issues, a more effective employee information system is required to provide comprehensive information regarding employee leave and to simplify the process of identifying leave usage and remaining leave balances. This study employs the waterfall development method, while system design is implemented using Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams. The expected outcome is a web-based employee leave information system capable of resolving existing system problems, optimizing the submission and approval process of employee leave, generating leave reports, and facilitating easier retrieval of employee leave data. The results of this study are expected to support PT. Sekar Laut, Tbk, particularly the Human Resources division, in developing an effective employee leave management information system

    Stres akademik dan masalah kesehatan mental di kalangan peserta didik merupakan isu krusial yang memengaruhi kinerja akademik dan kesejahteraan psikologis secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran strategi manajemen kelas yang berpusat pada siswa dalam mengelola stres akademik dan meningkatkan kesehatan mental peserta didik. Dengan menerapkan metode studi literatur, penelitian ini menganalisis berbagai sumber teoritis dan empiris yang berkaitan dengan faktor penyebab stres, dampak psikologis, serta intervensi dalam manajemen kelas. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan otoriter dan adanya tekanan eksternal justru memperburuk kesehatan mental siswa.  Di sisi lain, pendekatan manajemen kelas yang fokus pada siswa yang stres pada otonomi, dukungan emosional, dan interaksi kooperatif telah terbukti efektif dalam mengurangi tingkat stres. Penggunaan teknik praktis seperti mindfulness dan pengembangan strategi coping adaptif dalam kelas disarankan sebagai langkah preventif dan kuratif bagi pendidik untuk membangun lingkungan belajar yang sehat dan mendukung. Academic stress and mental health issues among students are crucial issues that affect academic performance and overall psychological well-being. This study aims to analyse the role of student-centred classroom management strategies in managing academic stress and improving students\u27 mental health. Using a literature review method, this study analyses various theoretical and empirical sources related to stress factors, psychological impacts, and interventions in classroom management. The study shows that the use of an authoritarian approach and external pressure worsens students\u27 mental health.  On the other hand, a student-centred classroom management approach that focuses on autonomy, emotional support, and cooperative interaction has been proven effective in reducing stress levels. The use of practical techniques such as mindfulness and the development of adaptive coping strategies in the classroom are recommended as preventive and curative measures for educators to build a healthy and supportive learning environment

    Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Risk Management Analysis of Hazardous Waste Treatment Using the HIRARC and Bowtie Analysis Methods

    The management of hazardous medical waste is an important aspect in maintaining occupational safety and the environment in healthcare facilities. Medical waste collection activities have high potential hazards, such as the risk of needle stick injuries, chemical exposure, and biological contamination. This study aims to analyze the potential hazards and risks in the process of collecting hazardous medical waste using the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) and Bowtie Analysis methods. The HIRARC method is used to identify hazards, assess risk levels, and determine appropriate control measures, while the Bowtie method is used to map the relationship between causes, top events, consequences, and controls. The results of the analysis show that hazards with high risk levels originate from direct contact with sharp objects and infectious materials. Recommended control measures include the use of complete Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), routine training on waste handling, and the implementation of strict standard operating procedures. The integration of the HIRARC and Bowtie methods proved effective in providing a comprehensive overview of potential hazards and risk control strategies in the collection of hazardous medical waste, thus improving work safety and preventing environmental pollution

    Implementasi Program Affiliate TikTok dan Shopee sebagai Solusi Peningkatan Ekonomi Ibu PKK dalam Pemberdayaan Komunitas Digital

    Program afiliasi digital melalui platform TikTok dan Shopee memberikan peluang baru dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat, khususnya kelompok ibu PKK di Desa Krembung. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif anggota PKK dalam setiap tahap, mulai dari identifikasi masalah, pelatihan, hingga implementasi. Hasil program menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai strategi pemasaran digital, kemampuan membuat konten promosi, serta keterampilan memanfaatkan fitur afiliasi untuk menambah penghasilan keluarga. Meski masih terdapat kendala berupa keterbatasan akses teknologi dan pemahaman awal, program ini terbukti mendorong kemandirian ekonomi lokal melalui pemanfaatan media digital. Dengan demikian, afiliasi TikTok dan Shopee berpotensi menjadi solusi berkelanjutan dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi berbasis komunitas. The digital affiliate program through the TikTok and Shopee platforms provides new opportunities to improve community welfare, particularly for the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) women\u27s group in Krembung Village. This community service activity was implemented using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involving the active participation of PKK members at every stage, from problem identification and training to implementation. The program results demonstrated an increase in participants\u27 understanding of digital marketing strategies, their ability to create promotional content, and their skills in utilizing affiliate features to supplement family income. Despite challenges such as limited access to technology and initial understanding, the program has proven to encourage local economic independence using digital media. Thus, the TikTok and Shopee affiliate program has the potential to be a sustainable solution for community-based economic empowerment

    Efektivitas Zat Flavonoid Ekstrak Daun Nangka (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam.) Sebagai Biopestisida Hama Ulat Grayak (Spodoptera litura) Pada Tanaman Jagung

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas ekstrak daun nangka (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam.) sebagai biopestisida pengendali hama ulat grayak (Spodoptera litura) pada tanaman jagung. Ekstrak diperoleh menggunakan metode ekstraksi ultrasonik (Ultrasound Assisted Extraction) dengan pelarut etanol 96% dan aquades. Dengan variabel seperti waktu ekstraksi, rasio pelarut, suhu ekstraksi dilakukan untuk menentukan rendemen dan kadar flavonoid optimal yang terkandung pada sampel. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa rendemen tertinggi diperoleh pada waktu ekstraksi 40 menit, rasio pelarut 1:25, dan suhu 50°C. Ekstrak dengan pelarut etanol 96% menghasilkan kadar flavonoid sebesar 42,58 mgQE/gram, lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan aquades yang sebesar 37,66 mgQE/gram. Konsentrasi ekstrak yang diaplikasikan pada uji toksisitas adalah 1000 ppm, 1500 ppm, dan 2000 ppm. Uji toksisitas menunjukkan larutan sampel uji yang menggunakan ekstrak dengan pelarut etanol 96% secara signifikan lebih efektif meningkatkan kematian hama, dibandingkan larutan sampel uji yang menggunakan ekstrak dengan pelarut aquades. Khususnya pada konsentrasi 2000 ppm yang menunjukan kematian semua ulat dalam waktu 120 menit. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun nangka dengan pelarut etanol 96% memiliki potensi sebagai biopestisida alami yang efektif dan ramah lingkungan dalam pengendalian hama ulat grayak pada tanaman jagung. Penelitian ini memberikan alternatif pengendalian hama yang lebih aman dan berkelanjutan

    Design of a Biomass Waste Shredding Machine Using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) Method

    This research aims to design a biomass waste shredder using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method to create a product that aligns with the needs and desires of users. The QFD method is employed to identify user requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and produce an optimal product design. The study involved 20 respondents from the Universitas Pahlawan Botanical Garden team as subjects to collect data on needs through closed questionnaires. The results indicate that consumers desire a shredder with key criteria, including speeding up the shredding process, high durability, safety in use, as well as ease of mobility and storage. The designed shredder product features several advantages, such as: An inlet feeder for biomass waste, six cutting blades with a bolt system, wheels for easy transportation. Through the House of Quality (HOQ) matrix, consumer needs were successfully translated into priorities for the development of the product\u27s technical features. Compared to other shredders, this shredder has competitive advantages in functional aspects, user safety, and design. This demonstrates that the application of the QFD method is effective in producing an innovative, functional shredder design that meets user preferences. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a reference for the future development of shredder products
