Upaya Meningkatkan Aktivitas dan Pemahaman Siswa dalam Pembelajaran Sains Materi Lokasi Geografis Indonesia di Kelas V Sekolah Dasar Melalui Penggunaan Media Peta Interaktif
Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan pemahaman konsep letak geografis Indonesia pada siswa kelas V SD melalui pemanfaatan media peta interaktif. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada sebuah SD negeri dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 28 siswa kelas V. Desain penelitian menggunakan model PTK Kemmis & McTaggart yang terdiri dari dua siklus, masing-masing siklus meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, tes pemahaman (pretest-posttest), angket respons peserta didik, dan catatan lapangan. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif-deskriptif untuk tes dan angket, serta kualitatif untuk data observasi dan catatan lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan aktivitas belajar dari kategori rendah (rata‑rata skor 45%) menjadi sedang (siklus I: 68%) dan tinggi (siklus II: 85%). Pemahaman konsep siswa (tes) meningkat dari rata‑rata 55 (pra‑tindakan) menjadi 72 (siklus I) dan 86 (siklus II). Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, pemanfaatan media peta interaktif dinyatakan efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan pemahaman siswa pada pembelajaran IPAS materi letak geografis Indonesia.
This classroom action research (CAR) aims to improve learning activities and understanding of the concept of Indonesia\u27s geographical location in fifth-grade elementary school students through the use of interactive map media. The research was conducted at a public elementary school in [city name] with 28 fifth-grade students as research subjects. The research design used the Kemmis & McTaggart CAR model consisting of two cycles, each cycle covering planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection instruments included student activity observation sheets, comprehension tests (pretest-posttest), student response questionnaires, and field notes. Data analysis was conducted quantitatively-descriptive for tests and questionnaires, and qualitatively for observation data and field notes. The results of the study showed an increase in learning activities from the low category (average score of 45%) to medium (cycle I: 68%) and high (cycle II: 85%). Students\u27 conceptual understanding (test) increased from an average of 55 (pre-action) to 72 (cycle I) and 86 (cycle II). Based on these findings, the use of interactive maps was found to be effective in enhancing student engagement and understanding in science and science learning on Indonesia\u27s geographic location
Analisis Kualitas Layanan Pendidikan Berdasarkan Model Servqual: Studi Kasus di SMA Negeri 12 Sinjai
Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kualitas layanan pendidikan di SMA Negeri 12 Sinjai berdasarkan lima dimensi Servqual: bukti fisik, keandalan, daya tanggap, jaminan, dan empati. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif evaluatif, data dihimpun melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan angket terhadap 66 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kualitas layanan berada pada kategori sangat baik. Dimensi keandalan, jaminan, dan empati menjadi keunggulan utama melalui implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka serta pendekatan guru yang humanis. Pemanfaatan WhatsApp efektif meningkatkan daya tanggap layanan informasi secara real-time. Namun, terdapat tantangan pada dimensi bukti fisik seperti keterbatasan ruang komputer, area parkir, dan kedisiplinan waktu guru. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penataan ulang sarana prasarana dan penguatan manajemen disiplin untuk mempertahankan mutu layanan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kualitas layanan pendidikan bersifat kontekstual dan bergantung pada sinergi antara kompetensi pedagogik serta ketersediaan fasilitas penunjang.
This study analyzes the educational service quality at SMA Negeri 12 Sinjai based on five Servqual dimensions: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. Using a descriptive qualitative evaluative approach, data were gathered through observsation, in-depth interviews, and questionnaires from 66 students. The findings indicate that the service quality is categorized as excellent. Reliability, assurance, and empathy emerge as primary strengths, driven by the Merdeka Curriculum implementation and humanistic teaching approaches. Furthermore, the use of WhatsApp effectively enhances real-time responsiveness. However, challenges persist in the tangible dimension, specifically regarding limited computer labs, parking areas, and teacher time discipline. This research recommends infrastructure reorganization and strengthened discipline management to maintain service standards. The results emphasize that educational service quality is highly contextual, depending on the synergy between pedagogical competence and supporting facilities
Pelestarian Obat Tradisional Dhandhanggulo melalui Pemanfaatan Bahan Alami Lokal sebagai Wujud Kearifan Lokal
Dhandhanggulo merupakan praktik pengobatan tradisional yang berdiri sejak tahun 2009 di Desa Prasung, Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Keberadaannya berawal dari kepedulian terhadap keterbatasan akses masyarakat terhadap layanan kesehatan formal, sekaligus menjadi sarana pelestarian kearifan lokal. Artikel ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan praktik pengobatan tradisional Dhandhanggulo, menelaah manfaat kesehatan, sosial, dan budaya, serta memotret nilai solidaritas yang tercermin dalam pelayanannya. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa Dhandhanggulo mengintegrasikan layanan ramuan herbal dengan terapi tradisional, ditopang sepenuhnya oleh tenaga relawan tanpa imbalan. Bahan ramuan sebagian ditanam secara mandiri, sebagian lainnya diperoleh dari pasar. Sebelum pandemi Covid-19, praktik ini telah melayani ribuan pasien dari dalam dan luar Sidoarjo. Temuan ini menegaskan peran penting Dhandhanggulo tidak hanya sebagai alternatif layanan kesehatan, tetapi juga sebagai media pelestarian budaya dan penguatan solidaritas sosial.
Dhandhanggulo is a traditional healing practice established in 2009 in Prasung Village, Sidoarjo Regency. Its existence stems from concern about the community\u27s limited access to formal healthcare services, while also serving as a means of preserving local wisdom. This article aims to describe the traditional healing practice of Dhandhanggulo, examine its health, social, and cultural benefits, and capture the values of solidarity reflected in its services. Observations indicate that Dhandhanggulo integrates herbal concoction services with traditional therapies, supported entirely by uncompensated volunteers. Some ingredients are grown locally, while others are obtained from the market. Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, the practice served thousands of patients from within and outside Sidoarjo. These findings underscore Dhandhanggulo\u27s crucial role not only as an alternative healthcare service but also as a medium for cultural preservation and strengthening social solidarity
Peran Mahasiswa dalam Upaya Pelestarian Nilai Kebudayaan melalui Pendidikan Seni Tradisional dan Kerajinan Kreatif
Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di Desa Kali Tengah bertujuan untuk melestarikan nilai-nilai kebudayaan lokal melalui pendekatan edukatif dan kreatif. Program ini difokuskan pada dua kegiatan utama, yaitu pelatihan tari tradisional dan pembuatan kerajinan tangan berbasis teknik ecoprint. Salah satu bentuk pelestarian budaya diwujudkan melalui pengenalan Tari Kepis Ronjot, sebuah tarian yang merepresentasikan kehidupan nelayan di wilayah pesisir Sidoarjo. Tarian ini tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sarana hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai media edukasi yang mengandung nilai-nilai kearifan lokal. Selain itu, kegiatan kerajinan tangan dilakukan dengan mengajarkan teknik ecoprint metode pounding, yang dipilih karena praktis, efisien, dan memanfaatkan bahan alami seperti daun dan bunga untuk menghasilkan motif pada kain. Hasil wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi menunjukkan adanya respons positif dan antusiasme tinggi dari masyarakat, khususnya anak-anak yang memiliki semangat besar dalam mempelajari keterampilan baru. Program ini diharapkan mampu menumbuhkan kesadaran kolektif akan pentingnya pelestarian budaya serta mendorong pemanfaatan sumber daya alam secara kreatif, inovatif, dan berkelanjutan.
Community service activities in Kali Tengah Village aim to preserve local cultural values through an educational and creative approach. The program focuses on two main activities: traditional dance training and ecoprint-based handicrafts. One form of cultural preservation is realized through the introduction of the Kepis Ronjot Dance, a dance that represents the life of fishermen in the coastal areas of Sidoarjo. This dance serves not only as a means of entertainment but also as an educational medium containing local wisdom values. In addition, handicraft activities are carried out by teaching the pounding ecoprint technique, which was chosen because it is practical, efficient, and utilizes natural materials such as leaves and flowers to create motifs on fabric. The results of interviews, observations, and documentation studies showed a positive response and high enthusiasm from the community, especially children who are eager to learn new skills. This program is expected to foster collective awareness of the importance of cultural preservation and encourage the creative, innovative, and sustainable use of natural resources
Emotional Perception And Ergonomic Design Innovation Of A Portable Chicken Feather Cleaner: A Kansei Engineering Study
Users\u27 emotional perception plays a crucial role in the development of effective ergonomic product designs, particularly in tools used for domestic and small-scale industrial activities. This study aims to investigate the influence of emotional perception on the ergonomic design innovation of a portable chicken feather cleaning tool using the Kansei Engineering approach. This method was employed to translate user emotions and perceptions into measurable and implementable design elements. The research process involved identifying relevant kansei words, collecting perception data from 60 respondents using a semantic differential scale questionnaire, and performing factor analysis and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to determine the core affective dimensions. The results revealed that physical comfort, form perception, and motion efficiency are the dominant factors influencing user preferences. Based on these findings, an ergonomic prototype was developed by optimizing hand posture, device weight, and handle shape. The study concludes that integrating emotional dimensions into the design process significantly enhances product-user affective compatibility, potentially improving both work efficiency and user satisfaction. These findings offer practical implications for the design of functional household tools based on human-centered design principles
Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Melalui Pelatihan Bekam: Strategi Membangun Ekonomi Mandiri Berbasis Kearifan Lokal
Program pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pelatihan bekam merupakan upaya strategis dalam membangun ekonomi mandiri berbasis kearifan lokal yang dilaksanakan oleh mahasiswa pengabdi Universitas Teknologi Surabaya kepada ibu-ibu PKK RW 06 Dusun Gedel, Kelurahan Karangpoh, Surabaya. Tujuan program adalah mengintegrasikan pelestarian kearifan lokal dengan pengembangan keterampilan kewirausahaan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi masyarakat. Metode Service Learning digunakan dengan melibatkan 30 peserta yang dipilih secara purposive sampling, melalui tahapan persiapan, pelatihan teori, dan praktik langsung. Hasil program menunjukkan tingkat pemahaman teori mencapai 85%, kemampuan praktik 90%, dan peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 70% berdasarkan pre-test dan post-test. Aspek kewirausahaan menunjukkan 80% peserta tertarik mengembangkan usaha bekam dengan potensi pendapatan Rp 1.500.000 - Rp 3.000.000 per bulan menggunakan modal awal relatif kecil. Program ini berhasil menciptakan model pemberdayaan berkelanjutan yang mengintegrasikan nilai tradisional dengan pendekatan bisnis modern, berkontribusi pada pelestarian budaya, penyediaan layanan kesehatan alternatif, dan menciptakan multiplier effect ekonomi di masyarakat.
The community empowerment programme through cupping training is a strategic effort in building an independent economy based on local wisdom implemented by KKN students at Surabaya University of Technology to PKK RW 06 Dusun Gedel, Karangpoh Village, Surabaya. The programme aims to integrate the preservation of local wisdom with the development of entrepreneurial skills to improve the economic welfare of the community. The Service-Learning method was used by involving 30 participants selected by purposive sampling, through the stages of preparation, theoretical training, and hands-on practice. The results of the program showed that the level of theoretical understanding reached 85%, practical skills 90%, and an increase in knowledge of 70% based on pre-test and post-test. The entrepreneurial aspect showed that 80% of participants were interested in developing a cupping business with a potential income of IDR 1,500,000 - IDR 3,000,000 per month using a relatively small initial capital. The programme succeeded in creating a sustainable empowerment model that integrates traditional values with modern business approaches, contributes to cultural preservation, provides alternative health services, and creates economic multiplier effects in the community
Sinergi Program Bimbel Komunitas dalam Peningkatan Mutu Pendidikan melalui Pendampingan Belajar Siswa Sekolah Dasar
Pendidikan dasar masih menghadapi permasalahan berupa kesulitan siswa dalam memahami materi pelajaran dan menyelesaikan tugas sekolah secara mandiri akibat keterbatasan pendampingan belajar di rumah. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman akademis, motivasi belajar, dan kepercayaan diri siswa sekolah dasar, khususnya kelas 6 SD, melalui program bimbingan belajar. Program dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan bimbingan belajar dengan pendekatan interaktif dan menyenangkan yang melibatkan pendampingan langsung dalam memahami materi dan mengerjakan tugas sekolah. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman materi, motivasi belajar siswa, serta penguatan hubungan sosial antara pendamping, siswa, dan masyarakat. Kebaruan kegiatan ini terletak pada integrasi pendampingan akademik dengan penguatan motivasi belajar dan keterlibatan sosial masyarakat dalam lingkungan pendidikan desa. Program ini berimplikasi pada peningkatan kualitas pendidikan dasar dan mendorong kesadaran masyarakat untuk berperan aktif dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran anak di lingkungan pedesaan.
Elementary education still faces challenges in students\u27 understanding of subject matter and completing assignments independently due to limited home-based learning support. This community service activity aims to improve academic understanding, motivation, and self-confidence in elementary school students, particularly sixth-grade students, through a tutoring program. The program is implemented through tutoring activities with an interactive and enjoyable approach that involves direct assistance in understanding the material and completing school assignments. The results of the activity show an increase in material understanding, student learning motivation, and the strengthening of social relationships between tutors, students, and the community. The novelty of this activity lies in the integration of academic mentoring with strengthening learning motivation and community social involvement in the village educational environment. This program has implications for improving the quality of elementary education and encouraging community awareness to play an active role in supporting children\u27s learning processes in rural environments
Pembuatan Nomor Induk Berusaha melalui Legalisasi Usaha Sebagai Upaya Upgrading UMKM Desa
Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mendorong pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) agar naik kelas melalui legalisasi usaha. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi UMKM desa adalah keterbatasan dalam pengurusan Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB) karena minimnya pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam menggunakan sistem Online Single Submission (OSS). Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan partisipatif-edukatif melalui seminar, tutorial praktik pendaftaran NIB, serta pendampingan langsung kepada pelaku usaha. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan warga, terbukti dengan terbitnya NIB bagi UMKM setempat serta meningkatnya kesadaran akan pentingnya legalitas usaha. Pendampingan juga diperkuat dengan pemanfaatan grup WhatsApp sebagai sarana komunikasi berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, program ini berhasil memberikan output nyata berupa legalitas usaha yang sah sekaligus menjadi fondasi bagi penguatan daya saing UMKM desa.
This community service activity aims to encourage Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to upgrade through business legalization. The main problem faced by village MSMEs is the limitation in processing Business Identification Numbers (NIB) due to a lack of understanding and skills in using the Online Single Submission (OSS) system. The activity was implemented using a participatory-educational approach through seminars, practical tutorials on NIB registration, and direct mentoring for business actors. The results of the activity showed an increase in community understanding and skills, as evidenced by the issuance of NIBs for local MSMEs and increased awareness of the importance of business legality. The mentoring was also strengthened using WhatsApp groups as a means of ongoing communication. Thus, this program successfully delivered tangible output in the form of legal business registration while also serving as a foundation for strengthening the competitiveness of village MSMEs
Penggunaan Media Bergambar Melalui Pendekatan Multisensori Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Siswa Kelas 1 dengan Gangguan Keterlambatan di SDN Pakis V Surabaya
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa kelas 1 SDN Pakis V Surabaya yang mengalami keterlambatan membaca melalui pendekatan multisensori dengan media kartu bergambar. Pendekatan multisensori melibatkan penggunaan berbagai indera seperti penglihatan, pendengaran, sentuhan, dan gerakan secara simultan untuk memperkuat proses belajar dan daya ingat murid. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemimis dan Tanggart yang terdiri dari empat tahap: perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah murid kelas 1A yang menunjukkan kesulitan dalam mengenal huruf, membaca suku kata, dan memahami kata sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan literasi awal murid, tetapi juga meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan murid dalam proses pembelajran, sehingga membuat pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik dan efektif. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan metode multisensori sebagai strategi efektif dalam mengatasi keterlambatan membaca pada anak sekolah dasar.
This study aims to improve the reading skills of first-grade students of SDN Pakis V Surabaya who experience reading delays through a multisensory approach using picture cards. The multisensory approach involves the simultaneous use of various senses such as sight, hearing, touch, and movement to strengthen students\u27 learning processes and memory. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemimis and Tanggart model consisting of four stages: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were class 1A students who showed difficulties in recognizing letters, reading syllables, and understanding simple words. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students\u27 early literacy skills, but also increased student motivation and engagement in the learning process, thus making learning more interesting and effective. This study recommends the use of multisensory methods as an effective strategy in overcoming reading delays in elementary school children
Implementation of the Waterfall Model in the Design and Development of a Web-Based Cashier Information System
This research aims to design and develop a web-based cashier information system using the Waterfall software development model. The system is designed to support sales transaction processes, product data management, and financial reporting more effectively and efficiently. Problems commonly found in conventional cashier systems, such as transaction recording errors, delays in data recap, and difficulties in accessing information, form the background of this development. The Waterfall method was chosen because it provides systematic and structured stages, including requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. In the analysis stage, user needs were identified through observation and interviews. The design stage employed UML diagrams such as use case diagrams, activity diagrams, and class diagrams to illustrate the system flow. The system was implemented using PHP programming language and MySQL database, while testing was carried out using the black box testing method to ensure all functions operated according to requirements. The results of the study show that this web-based cashier information system can process sales transactions quickly, reduce data input errors, and facilitate stock management and report generation. Thus, the application of the Waterfall model has proven effective in developing a measurable, maintainable system that meets user needs in small and medium-sized enterprises
