    The utterances that occur in every dialogue in the novel often have various purposes or intentions that are certainly not the same as the real one. Likewise, conversations in novels cannot be separated from the power of imagination built by the author which makes the reader have to analyze the hidden meanings in each story. Thus, it can be said that the speech in every dialogue of the novel has an implied purpose. This research is an implicature study through the use of pragmatic studies which aims to describe the types of implicatures in the novel "Dear Nathan" by Erisca Febriani. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The subject of this research is the novel "Dear Nathan" by Erisca Febriani. Data is collected by analyzing, reviewing, and recording documents (content analysis), then processing the data objectively regarding the meaning and types of implicatures. The results obtained from this study include the types of implicatures in the novel "Dear Nathan" by Erisca Febriani, namely directive, representative, commissive, expressive, and declaration speech acts

Novel Dear Nathan by Erisca Febriani and Film Dear Nathan by Indra Gunawan tells about the life story of Nathan's character, a high school boy who has family problems and romance. Nathan is a very stubborn student in his school. It turns out that behind his stupidity there is an unexpected story, which is having a family that is less harmonious. The author tries to examine and reveal the differences and similarities formed from the two objects. The author uses the structural theory of fiction and comparative literature. Instead of playing from the novel Dear Nathan to the film Dear Nathan, it caused a variety of changes, additions, and changes. These aspects were analyzed from data in the form of novels and films using a comparative literary approach. The aim is to reveal differences and similarities and changes that occur as a result of the process of switching from the two different material objects. The results of the analysis of the Nathan novels and the film Nathan showed a difference and narrowing down of characters, stories of change and support, change and omission, and alterations and omissions in novels. However, the transformation process of Dear Nathan's novel to the film Dear Nathan, is not much different from the novel and film. When changes occur in the transformation process, do not shift too far / change the core or outline of the story. In the process of transforming there must be a difference and it happens.     Nursing Intervention of Ginger Compress and Galangal in reducing the level of pain in the elderly with Gouty Arthritis Febriani Melania1, Anggraini Dwi Kurnia2 Background: Increased uric acid in the blood results in crystallization in the joints, can cause disruption to the joint structure, these crystallizations are considered foreign objects by the body. In this final scientific work, the case of Mr. N suffers from Gouty Arthritis, the problem that arises is chronic pain. So gouty arthritis sufferers often complaining of joint pain. The main intervention in Mr. N is giving compresses of ginger and galangal. Method: Using qualitative descriptive techniques that cover the problem and then how to actually solve it. The author follows the scientific method according to the rules of the nursing process which includes: assessment, data analysis, nursing intervention, implementation and evaluation. Results: After intervention for 3 x 15 minutes the problem of chronic pain was partially resolved with the pain value on day 1, namely when the assessment was obtained on a scale of 6, then on day 2 the pain level decreased to scale 5 and on day 3 the level of pain decreased to scale 4 . Conclusion: Providing non-pharmacological nursing therapy with ginger and galangal compresses for chronic pain can reduce pain levels. The nursing intervention for compressing ginger and galangal is done by mashing and stirring, applying it to the knee, then splinting it with elastomul, for 15 minutes. The ginger and galangal compress intervention is carried out 3 days in a row and can be done twice a day

    The Thesis entitled “The Correlation Between Students’ Self-Assessment And Lecturer Assessment in Measuring Pronunciation of English Education Students of UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung 2024/2025” was written by Herlin Febriani, Student ID Number 126203212140. 2025, English Education Department, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training. State Islamic University (UIN) Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah of Tulungagung, supervised by Muhammad Zen Masruri, M.Pd Keyword: Pronunciation Abilities, Self-Assessment, Lecturer Assessment. Assessment plays an important role in evaluating students' speaking abilities, especially in pronunciation, where clarity is essential to avoid misunderstandings. This study involved two variables: students’ self-assessment scores of their pronunciation abilities as the independent variable (X), and lecturer assessments as the dependent variable (Y). The aim was to identify whether there is a the correlation between self-assessment and lecturer assessment in measuring pronunciation of english education students of UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung 2024/2025 The research used a quantitative approach with a correlation analysis technique. The sampling method was purposive sampling, involving 55 students. Data were collected through recorded pronunciation test. Students were asked to record a given text and then assess their own pronunciation. These recordings were then evaluated by a lecturer. The data were analyzed using SPSS 27 and the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation formula. The correlation coefficient was 0.410, with a significance level of 0.002. Since the correlation fell within the 0.400–0.700 range, it was categorized as moderate. Because the significance value was lower than 0.05, the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. Therefore, there is a correlation between students’ self-assessment and lecturer assessment in measuring pronunciation of english education students of UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung 2024/2025

The novel Dear Nathan tells about the lives of millennial adolescents raised by Nathan Januar Presetyo as the main character in the novel. The author tries to examine and reveal the inner conflicts experienced by Nathan's character by using structural theory, sequential theory, Sigmund Freud's literary psychology theory, inner conflict theory and Albertine Minderop's emotional classification. The emergence of terms to reveal the intrinsic elements in the novel Dear Nathan, namely the character and characterization, plot and channeling, and background. Sequential theory as a reference for determining the main character and sequence of stories. Psychology freedom theory by Sigmund Freud to reveal the id, ego, and sueperego that occur in the character Nathan. Concrete theories are used to uncover problems that occur in Nathan's characters. Classification of dilemmas to uncover the types that occur in Nathan's characters. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative method with a psychological and psychological approach. In-depth results in depth in Nathan's Very Leading novel centered on Nathan's characters. Inner conflicts that occur are those that occur because of an imbalance between id, ego, and superego. It can be concluded that Nathan has a personality that is too fast to make decisions. Nathan's devotion was shaken by remorse which caused him to become a closed and brutal person. Nathan's superego was seen when he decided to turn out to be a better person by asking for help from Salma as his lover at the time. Factors that caused the conflict to occur in Nathan's figures were divided into external conflicts which included conflict between Nathan and his family, friends, and Salma as his lover. Conflict resolution in Erisca Febriani's Dear Nathan novel can be resolved by the main character itself. Hal tersebut ditandai dengan turunnya data pencapaian kinerja, realisasi pendapatan, rekapitulasi kemangkiran (absen) pegawai, data rekapitulasi penilaian pegawai. Fenomena tersebut harus segera ditangani karena karyawan merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat menentukan keberhasilan suatu perusahaan. motivasi dan disiplin kerja dijadikan suatu cara untuk meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Objek yang menjadi unit analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan Direktorat SDM pada PT. Pos IndonesiaWilayah Area V Bandung. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah motivasi (X¬1) dan disiplin kerja (X¬2) serta variabel terikat (Y) yaitu kinerja karyawan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan ialah deskriptif dan verifikatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode explanatory survey dengan tekhnik sampel jenuh dan jumlah sebanyak 96 orang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah regresi linear berganda dengan alat bantu software komputer SPSS 21.0. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini antara lain sebagai berikut: 1) motivasi kerja pada PT. Pos Indonesia (PERSERO) Wilayah Area V Bandung dalam kategori tinggi, 2) disiplin kerja pada PT. Pos Indonesia (PERSERO) Wilayah Area V Bandung dalam kategori tinggi, 3) kinerja karyawan pada PT. Pos Indonesia (PERSERO) Wilayah Area V Bandung dalam kategori tinggi, 4) kinerja dipengaruhi secara positif oleh motivasi dengan koefisien determinasinya sebesar 51,1% dan tingkat korelasi kuat, 5) kinerja dipengaruhi secara positif oleh disiplin kerja dengan koefisien determinasinya sebesar 50,1% dan tingkat korelasi kuat, 6) kinerja dipengaruhi secara positif oleh motivasi dan disiplin kerja dengan koefisien determinasinya sebesar 58,4% dan tingkat korelasinya kuat. Penulis merekomendasikan agar perusahaan dapat lebih meningkatkan motivasi dan disiplin kerja karyawan untuk peningkatan kinerja perusahaan. The independent variable in this study is the motivation (X¬1) and discipline(X2), as well as the dependent variable (Y) is the performance of employees. This type of research is descriptive and verification. The method used in this research is explanatory survey techniques saturated sample and the number of 96 persons. The data analysis technique used in this study is the multiple linear regression with SPSS computer software tools 21.0. The findings in this study are as follows: 1) motivation to work at PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Bandung Region V area in high category 2) discipline work at PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Bandung Region V area in the high category, 3) the performance of employees at PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Bandung Region V area in the high category, 4) performance is positively influenced by the motivation of the coefficient of determination of 51,1% and the correlation is strong, 5) performance is positively influenced by the discipline of work with a coefficient of determination of 50.1% and the correlation is strong, 6) performance positively affected by motivation and discipline work with determination coefficient of 58,4% and the correlation is strong,The author recommends that the company may have a way to further increase the motivation and discipline of employees for improved performance
