Modelling Image Semantic Descriptions from Web 2.0 Documents using a Hybrid Approach.
No full textWith the increasing amount of multimedia content on the web added as user generated content in Web 2.0 websites, conventional multimedia information retrieval is presented with new challenges. It is no longer possible to rely only on meta-data based retrieval but to consider also content based techniques combined with the collective knowledge generated by users’ contributions and geo-referenced meta-data. Tagging is a modest way to annotate such documents and fails to capture a full semantic description of the document content. This report concerns ongoing research to investigate a means to identify, model and utilise semantic descriptions of the user-generated content in Web 2.0 documents using a hybrid approach. The approach consists of three main components, natural language processing, image analysis and a shared knowledge base. In this paper we describe the complete model but, as the image analysis component is in its early stages, the results focus on the natural language processing and the knowledge base. We show that the additional use of these components can improve retrieval and analysis performance over that based only on Web 2.0 tags

Next, analyze and summarize the management aspects found in the short story (Tapa, 2013). Management Approach in Literary Criticism by Mohamad Mokhtar Abu Hassan was used to examine the short story. This study found that the short story Tapa (2013) by Nurul Afna Akma Zakaria showed management in everyday life. This management can be seen through elements such as planning, organizing, leadership, staffing (workforce), and control displayed through the characters found in the short story

The impact of education on society in the novel Ahad by Zakaria Salleh
No full textThis study was conducted with the aim of discussing the impact of education on society in the novel Ahad (1959) by Zakaria Salleh. The novel revolves around the lives of three identical twins named Amin, Hasan, and Dahalan during the time before, during, and after World War II. As educated characters, these three brothers play an important role in assisting their respective communities. The study outlines three objectives to be achieved. First, to identify the educational streams followed by the protagonists in the novel Ahad by Zakaria Salleh. Second, to describe the role of the protagonists in their respective communities in the novel Ahad by Zakaria Salleh. Third, to synthesize the relationship between education and the effectiveness of the protagonists' roles in their respective communities in the novel Ahad by Zakaria Salleh. This study utilizes the Sociology of Literature Theory proposed by Hippolyte Taine to achieve these three objectives. The findings of the study reveal that while in school, the character Amin received an English education, the character Hasan received a Malay education, and the character Dahalan received a religious education in a traditional religious school. The education received by the three of them enabled them to serve their communities in different fields, with Amin becoming a police officer, Hasan a modern farmer, and Dahalan a soldier/principal of a modern religious school. The study also found that with the education they received, the twin characters Amin, Hasan, and Dahalan were able to excel in their chosen professions and establish themselves as respected figures in their respective communities. The findings of this study suggest that the novel's portrayal aligns with the aspirations of the government and society in the 1950s, which sought to make education a tool for progress

No full textABSTRAKRafsanjani 2017 Pengunduran Diri Zakaria Saman dari Partai Aceh Fakultas Ilmu Sosila Ilmu dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Syiah Kuala (Dr.Hamdani M Syam,M.A) Zakaria Saman adalah mantan menteri pertahanan Gerakan Aceh Merdeka, beliau lahir diKeumala, Kabupaten Pidie pada 01 Januari 1946, Setelahperdamaian di Aceh terwujud Zakaria Saman dan elit kombatan kemudianmembentuk Partai lokal sebagaimana hal ini telah disetujui dalam perjanjianHelsinki antara GAM dengan Republik Indonesia dan dituangkan dalam UUNomor 11 tahun 2006 tentang kekhususan Aceh, pada tahun 2007 terbentuklahPartai Aceh yang didalamnya termasuk Zakaria Saman sebagai tokoh penting,namun menjelang pemilihan umum 2017 Zakaria Saman mengundurkan diri dariPartai Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor pengunduran diriZakaria Saman dari Partai Aceh dan bagaimana sikap Partai Aceh setelahmundurnya Zakaria Saman.Metode yang digunakan ialah metode penelitiankualitatif. metode pengumpulan data penelitian dengan sistem wawancara, studidokumentasi, buku-buku, jurnal, skripsi dan karya ilmiah. Wawancara langsungtelah dilakukan terhadap beberapa informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukanbahwaparaelitPartai Aceh terpecah pada pemilhan umum 2017, Zakaria Samanyang menjabat sebagai tuha peut mengundurkan diri dari partai kemudianmencalonkan diri melalui jalur perseorangan (Independen) keluarnya ZakariaSaman tentunya telah membuat Partai Aceh kehilangan kekuatan politik lokalnyapada pemilihan umum 2017 di Acehhal ini disebabkan karena Zakaria Samanmerupakan salah satu tokoh sentral dalam perjuangan Gerakan Aceh Merdeka. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat dipahami bahwaPartai Aceh harus menyelesaikankonflik dalam tubuh partai, dikarenakan jika hal ini terus berlanjut maka partailahyang akan menjadi korban dengan hilangnya simpatisan-simpatisan yang adadiseluruh Aceh. Partai Aceh hurus bersikap netral agar dapat menyelesaikankonflik antara elit tersebut, fasilitator harus mampu mendamaikan semua masalahantara elit-elit Partai Aceh. pendekatan psikologis. Masalah penelitian ini tentang psikologis tokoh utama
yang terkandung dalam cerpen Zakaria karya Linda Cristanty. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran psikologis tokoh utama yang bernama
Zakaria dalam cerpen Zakaria karya Linda Christanty berjumlah. 12 halaman,
penerbit PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama, Jakarta, 2011. Data penelitian ini adalah
gambaran psikologis tokoh utama yang bernama Zakaria dalam cerpen Zakaria
karya Linda Christanty. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Hasil
dari penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa masalah psikologis tokoh Zakaria
berkaitan dengan konsep rasa bersalah, rasa bersalah yang dipendam,
menghukum diri sendiri, rasa malu, kesedihan, kebencian, perasaan marah dan
cinta
