    A significant increasing of the space demand and supported by the applicable regulation especially in the congested areas, give the possibility to extend the building vertically. The extention can be done by adding the steel frame structures above the existing reinforced concrete structures. Thus, the lateral force resting system of the steel and reinforced concrete hybrid structures relies on the acting performance of the steel and concrete moment frames concurrently. This structural material distinction implies the selection of R (Response Modification Factor) value. The R value for hybrid steel-concrete moment resisting frame system has not been stipulated on SNI 1726:2012. Therefore, this paper aims to review the R and o (overstrength factor) value of the hybrid steel-concrete moment resisting frame systems where the steel frames stands above the concrete frames. The review is limited to the structures having similar seismic condition as Jakarta with soft soil condition (Site Class SE). The R value on the hybrid structures is determined prior to structural elements design. Pushover analysis is then performed in order to obtain the load versus deformation curve for the recalculation of R and o. The calculation concept of R and o follows ATC-19 and ATC-34 including FEMA P695

    Flexible Connection Elastomeric Rubber as a Pounding Resisting Element between Two Adjacent Buildings To solve pounding problem of two adjacent buildings, structural designer usually employs a dilatation between the structures or make the two structures as a monolith structure. Other alternative is by using an elastomeric rubber as a pounding resisting element between the two structures. Effectiveness in applying elastomeric rubber component as flexible connection of two adjacent structures is the main focus of this paper. Various simulations such as structure models, earthquake excitations and openings in gap element are studied. Observation of maximum structural responses will be performed for structure model with elastomeric rubber in comparison with (1) monolith structure model and (2) structure model with rigid element (steel element). Simulation results show that application of elastomeric rubber component to prevent structures from pounding problem provides advantages especially in reducing internal forces in the shorter building. However, it slightly increases displacement of both structures

    Studi Numerik Sambungan Spun Pile Terhadap Pile Cap Dengan Dan Tanpa Beton Pengisi Akibat Pembebanan Siklik

    Abstrak Berdasarkan SNI 8460, spun pile sebagai struktur bawah didesain belum menggunakan konsep performance-based design (PBD) karena pertimbangan sulitnya proses perbaikan, meskipun PBD sudah diperbolehkan di negara lain. Peta gempa tahun 2017 menunjukkan adanya peningkatan seismic demand di Indonesia yang menyebabkan desain fondasi yang tidak efisien jika perilaku inelastic pada pondasi akibat gempa besar tidak diperbolehkan. Untuk mempelajari perilaku inelastic pondasi, tiga sambungan spun pile berukuran full scale diuji dengan pembebanan siklik horizontal. Analisis lanjutan dengan finite element (FE) dilakukan menggunakan Abaqus. Karena kurangnya jumlah tulangan geser (spiral) pada spun pile yang ada di Indonesia, efek confinement dari pemodelan tulangan spiral dibandingkan dengan pemodelan jika spiral disederhanakan sebagai hoops. Analisis FE juga dilakukan untuk mempelajari perbandingan perilaku antara spun pile kosong dan dengan beton pengisi dalam hal kekuatan, daktilitas dan performance levels dari sambungan spun pile.  Kata kunci: sambungan spun pile, performance-based design, the effect of concrete infill, daktilitas                                                   Abstract According to SNI 8640, spun pile as part of lower structure is not designed with the concept of performance-based design (PBD) because of repair issues, although PBD has been allowed for lower structures in other countries. According to the 2017 seismic zone, the increasing seismic demand in Indonesia results in an inefficient foundation design if inelastic behavior of foundation due to a big earthquake is not allowed. Three full scales of spun pile connections were tested with lateral cyclic loading to explore the inelastic behavior of foundation. A finite element (FE) analysis using Abaqus was conducted for further study. Due to low number of spun piles shear reinforcement (spiral) produced in Indonesia, the confinement effect of spiral model is compared with hoops model. Finite element analysis was also done to investigate the behavior difference of hollow spun pile and spun pile with concrete infill in terms of strength, ductility, and performance levels of spun piles connection. Keywords: spun pile connection, performance-based design, the effect of concrete infill, ductilit

    Nodarbinātība ieslodzījuma vietās risina kompleksu ieslodzīto resocializācijas problēmu. Maģistra darba mērķis ir izpētīt un analizēt uzņēmējdarbības un nodarbinātības iespējas ieslodzījuma vietās resocializācijas kontekstā. Darbā tiek izmantotas integrētas pētījumu metodes, kā teorētiskā pieeja izvēlēta tīkla teorija, kura tiek lietota sociālā tīkla aģentu pētīšanai un atlasei. Autore analizē uzņēmējdarbību kā vienu no nodarbinātības risinājumiem cietumā resocializācijas kontekstā, dod praktiskus piemērus un apskata starptautisko pieredzi problēmas risināšanā. Darbā izpētītas uzņēmēju piesaistīšanas iespējas, priekšrocības un trūkumi uzņēmējdarbībai cietumā un sniegti sadarbības risinājumi. Kā novitāte maģistra darbā ir izvirzīts jauns teorētisks diskurss – jēgpilna darba teorija. Nobeigumā tiek sniegti secinājumi un ieteikumi.The Author of the Master thesis views an important question in Latvia - “Opportunities for business activities in prisons: employment solutions” The selection and topicality of the theme is motivated in the introduction. The goals and aims are viewed and a hypothesis is being raised. In the methodology the Author accurately describes the methods used in this research and motivates its accordance to the research project. Author also introduces with the network theory, which is used to analyze the relations between agents of the research problem. The methodology is well chosen – the interviews consolidated with observations. Author analyzes the mechanisms of employment and opportunities for business activities in prison, gives practical examples and through international experience evaluates the model of employment in other countries. As the innovation of master paper the Author makes new theory discourse – meaningful work theory. In the end the author draws conclusions and gives suggestions on solving the problems

    This article discusses the dimensions of spirituality in the personal competence of Christian Religious Education (CRE) teachers. Spirituality is essential because the teaching that CRE teachers do aims to improve the spirituality of their students. He should have good spirituality so that he can be an example in his teaching. In this paper, the author explaining the essential values of spirituality that must be possessed by a CRE teacher in order to fulfill his calling as someone who has a profession as a teacher. To arrive at this goal, the authors develop the essential values of spirituality by conducting literature studies and content analysis methods. Based on a search from various sources, including the nature of spirituality, according to Christianity, the author explains the essential spiritual values that must be possessed by a CRE teacher. The essential values of spirituality are grouped into two dimensions, namely the personal dimension and the relational dimension

    Autores Sintijas Lases bakalaura darbs ar nosaukumu „Latvijas radio 2 klausītāju attieksmes raidstacijai adresētajās vēstulēs pirmajā daļā apkopo teorētisko literatūru par auditorijas jēdzienu, radio fenomenu citu masu mediju vidū, masu komunikācijas modeli un tā struktūru, atgriezeniskās saites definēšanu un vēstuļu nozīmi tajā. Teorētiskā daļa par pētījuma metodoloģiju skaidro kontentanalīzes, diskursa analīzes, semantikas un semiotikas nozīmi. Empīriskajā daļā autore analizē 727 Latvijas radio 2 klausītāju vēstules, vadoties pēc pieciem kritērijiem: vēstuļu uzrunas frāžu lietojums, apsveikuma pieprasījuma forma, dziesmas pieprasījuma forma, atsveicināšanās frāžu lietojums, lirikas izmantošana apsveikuma tekstā, kā arī vēstulēs minēto problēmjautājumu analīze. Vēstuļu satura analīze lielā mērā apstiprina autores izvirzīto hipotēzi, ka Latvijas radio 2 klausītāji raidstaciju uztver kā savu ģimenes locekli, draugu, uzticamības personu, personificē šo mediju un identificē to ar konkrētu ētera personu, piedēvējot viņam personīgi radio labo un slikto pieredzi.The bachelor “The attitudes of listeners in the letters of Latvian radio 2” in the first part summarizes the academic literature of audience, radio phenomenon between other mass media, model of mass communication and its structure, letters from audience, feedback and its meaning in the communication processes. The methodology of the exploration are content analyze, discourse analyze and semantic and semiotic. There the author has analyzed 727 letters in the exploration part. She had five different criteria: the way how the listeners say hello; how the listeners ask for congratulation to some person; how he/she is asking for the special song, how the listener says good bye. In the end of the exploration the author analyze how often listeners use the poetry in congratulation letters, and finally the author analyzes the problem issues what the listeners write to the Latvian radio about. The analyze of the letters certifies the hypothesis that listeners perceive Latvian radio like friend, relation and the person for trust, personalize this medium and identify it like some persons who are working in broadcasts in this radio

    Diplomdarba ”Krāsa kā noskaņas radītāja mākslā un tās apguves iespējas vizuālās mākslas stundās 9. klasē vakarskolā” mērķis ir apzināt, ar kādiem līdzekļiem panākt izpratni par krāsu noskaņas radīšanu 9. klases skolēniem vakarskolā. Analizēta skolēnu praktiskā darbība, viņu spēja radīt noskaņu darbā, balstoties uz teorētisko bāzi. Tiek pētīts 9. klases vecumposms un uzdevumu kopas atbilstība vizuālās mākslas standartam. Diplomdarbā pētīta krāsu nozīme mākslas darba noskaņas radīšanā, daudzie elementi, kas nosaka šo noskaņu, kā arī veids, kā sekmēt skolēnus izprast, kā krāsa veido noskaņu un realizēt to praktiskajos darbos. Diplomdarbā sniegts neliels ieskats krāsu psiholoģijā, analizēti atsevišķu mākslinieku darbi kā piemēri noskaņas radīšanā. Autore noskaņas analīzē balstījusies uz E. Munka, K. Monē, A. Matisa un V. Purvīša mākslas darbiem. Nolūkā realizēt diplomdarba mērķi tiek sagatavota piecu uzdevumu kopa krāsas noskaņas apgūšanai, tiek precizēti uzdevumu mērķi un analizēti to rezultāti. Uzdevumi tiek realizēti praksē, ir apzinātas praktiskā darba veiksmes un neveiksmes un izdarīti secinājumi par skolēnu iespējām izprast krāsu kā noskaņas radītāju mākslā un viņu iespējas realizēt to savos darbos. Diplomdarba nobeigumā izdarīti secinājumi un sniegta atbilde uz izvirzīto mērķi.The target of the diploma work ”Colour as a Mood Forming Factor in Art and Resources to Acquire it for 9. Class Pupils in the Evening School” is to study means with whom to achieve understanding of colour mood for the 9. class pupils in the evening school. In the diploma work there are analyzed the practical works of pupils, their ability to create mood in their works based on the theory. The standart of arts and age group of the pupils is examined. In the diploma work the author investigates how to promote pupils understanding of colour as a mood forming element and realization this understanding in their practical work. In the diploma work the author gives insight in the psychology of colours; this research is based on E. Munch, K. Monet, A. Matis un V. Purvitis art paintings. To realize the aim of the diploma work the set of five exercises is being prepared as well as aim of it and results are being analyzed. Exercises are being realized into praxis, as well as fortunes and failures of them are being clarified and conclusions about the ability of pupils to understand meaning of colours and realize them in their practical work are made. The end of the diploma work gives the conclusions and answers to the proposed target
