AbstractCompanies that really need employees who need competencies (soft skills) Good attitudes and relationships to complete other people\u27s work, for example communication, honesty, cooperation and interpersonal. To evaluate soft skills competencies requires a variety of criteria that are very diverse. The related criteria to assess attitudes and behavior are very many, so to evaluate this soft skills competency with the right and quick results the company has difficulties. This condition shows that companies need a system that can be used to assess the competency of employees\u27 soft skills using computer-assisted tools. There are several methods that can be used for decision making with various criteria including AHP and Promethee. So the focus in this study is to use the AHP method to determine weighting and Promethee to rank the assessment of employee soft skills. The weighting results obtained for communication criteria were 41%, honesty 38%, cooperation 14% and interpersonal 7%. With a consistency index ratio of 6%. From the respondents\u27 answers obtained 58% of employees have good soft skills competency and 42% of employees are not good

Curriculum changes are needed to adapt education to the times. Since the covid-19 pandemic, face-to-face learning has been suspended. Online learning is an alternative used during a pandemic. This has an impact on learning loss so that the quality of learning decreases. Recovery of learning during the pandemic and post-pandemic Covid-19 is important to reduce the impact of learning loss on students. After the pandemic, the independent curriculum was launched which was a refinement of the 2013 curriculum which had only been implemented in several schools. The subject structure of the Merdeka curriculum for SMA level in Fese E or grade 10, all students get the same subjects. While in Phase F (grades 11 and 12), the subject structure is divided into 2 main groups, namely general subjects and elective subjects. Based on the provisions of the SMKA 2021-2022 curriculum structure, SMA Negeri 1 Kebumen prepares elective subjects (MPP) which are made up of 7 MPP packages. This study uses a clustering technique of student scores using the K-Means algorithm to obtain MPP package recommendations that suit student abilities. For each MPP package, clustering is carried out into 2 clusters with features in the form of predetermined subject scores. The result of this clustering is that each student gets a "yes" or "no" recommendation for each MPP package

The Unity of Existence and the Fundamentality of Existence: A Comparative study of the Thought of Ibn ‘Arabī dan Mullā Ṣadrā

This article seeks to clarify the meaning of wujūd (existence) through a focused comparison of key terminological pairs in the thought of Ibn ‘Arabī and Mullā Ṣadrā, with the aim of elucidating how unity and multiplicity can be understood without lapsing into pantheism. The study employs a qualitative, library-based approach that draws upon both primary and secondary sources. It is conducted through conceptual analysis, comparative examination of terminology, and the mapping of functional correspondences between ideas. The main findings indicate that wujūd constitutes the most concrete reality, while multiplicity appears as a gradation of intensity. At the level of functional correspondence, a‘yān ṯābitah operate as archetypal patterns that determine tajallī (divine manifestation), whereas in Ṣadrā’s framework, wujūd rābiṭ explains existential dependency as non-autonomous existence. Tajaddud al-khalq (the continual renewal of creation) is shown to align with al-ḥarakah al-jawhariyyah (substantial motion), and the ‘ālam al-mithāl (imaginal world) functions as a barzakh mediating knowledge and stitching together the spiritual and material realms. The implications of this study the purification of terminology from pantheistic reduction, the provision of a working matrix for hermeneutics, ethics, and spiritual cultivation, and the establishment of a conceptual foundation for employing imaginal epistemology. The novelty of this research lies in its limitation of scope to two pairs of terms and in the formulation of a functional correspondence between a‘yān ṯābitah and wujūd rābiṭ without conceptual identification, thereby providing an explicit and applicable map of correspondence for the dialogue between philosophy and ‘irfā

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    Get PDF
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    Get PDF
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
