Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Beberapa Varietas Tanaman Jagung (Zea mays L) pada Berbagai Jarak Tanam
This research was conducted in the Experiment Plot of Agricultural Faculty ofthe
Nonh Sumatra Islamic University (UISU) in the village of Pangkalan Masyhur,
subdistrict of Medan Johor, with dre flat surface topography at the elevation of + 25
metres above sea level.
Objective of this research was to find the effects of varieties and distance of
planting space on the growth and production of maize crops. This research
implemented the Split Plot Desigr (SPD), comprises of 20 treatment combinations, of
which, each of the combination was replicated 3 times. The variety factor as the main
plot, content of 4 kind of varieties, i.e V1 (local variety), V2 (Bisma free hybrid), V3
(Bisi l0) and V+ (P 2l), while the factor of planting space distance as sub-plot, content
of5 level ofdistances, i.e K1 (30 cm x 40 crn = 83.333 plantVha), K2 (40 cm x 40 cm =
62.500 plantVha), K3 (50 cm x 40 cm = 50.000 plants/ha), Ka (60 cm x 40 cm= 41.667
plants/ha) and P5 (70 cm x 40 cm = 35.700 plantVha).
The paameters observed were the height ofplants (cm), total leaf area (cm2), leaf
area index (LAI), d.y weight of plant (g/plants), crop growth rare (g/week), net
assimilation rate (g/cm2lweek), dry wtight of weed (g/o.s m2), cost of weed control and
dry weight of crops production ftg/ha).
Report of the research indicated that the treatment of varieties significantly
affected the height of the plants at the age 2-8 weeks after planting. Total leaf area
was sigrificantly a{Iected at the age 2,4 and 6 weeks after planting, but slightlv
affected at the age 8 weeks after planting- The leaf area index was not significantly
affected at the age 2 weeks after planting. Dry weight of plant was sigrificantly
affected at the age 4 and 8 weeks after planting, while at the age 6 weeks after planting
were slightly affected, but no sigrificant effects were found at the ag€ of2 weeks after
planting. Rate of plant growth was significantly affected at the age 24 and 68 weeks
after planting but no significant effects were found at the age 4-6 weeks after planting.
Significant effects on the rate of net assimilation was found ar lhe a9e.4-6 weeks after
planting, but with just a slight effects was found at tbe age 24 and 6-8 weeks after
planting. Sigrificant effects on dry weight ofweeds was found at the age 3 weeks after
planting, but without significant effects at the age 6 weeks after planting. The varieties
significantly affected the pmduction of maize crops.
Planting space sigrificantly affected the height of plant at the age 4, 6 and 8
weeks after planting, but no sigrrificant effects was found at the age 2 weeks after

hybdd variety P 21 (%) followed by hybrid Bisi l0 (Vr), Bisma and Local varieties.
The Eeatment of K3 @lanting space of 50 x 40 cm) presented the highest production
followed by & (60 x 40 cm), K5 (70 x 40 cm) and K; (30 x 40 cm). The combination
of which presented the best growth was the V.tK: (variety of P 2l wirh planting space
of 50 x 40 cm) as it has a good capacity to utilize the growth environment at the

Pertunjukan Seni Musik Rebana Nurul Shobah Dikelurahan Teluk Makmur Kecamatan Medang Kampai Kota Dumai Provnsi Riau
This study aims to determine and analyze how the musical art of Nurul Shobah's tambourine art performance in Teluk Makmur Village, Medang Kampai District, Dumai City, Riau Province. The theory used in this research is according to Endaswara (2011:34-36) about the elements in performance theory as follows: (1) The object of the show, (2) Players, (3) Performances, (4) Properties, (5) Clothing, (6) Make-up performers, (7) Music, (8) Audience. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The results of this study indicate that the tambourine musical art form of the Nurul Shobah group is a form of musical performance formed from several elements so that it becomes a tambourine musical art performance. These elements include music or songs in the tambourine musical art performance of the Nurul Shobah group or the song material that is sung, namely sholawat songs and also has his own song entitled Sayang Cik Dolah as the closing song. Musical instruments in the form of 4 tambourines, 1 large tambourine which functions as a bass, 2 teplak and 1 kencer or tambourine. There are 17 players with 7 divisions playing 2 main vocals and 8 backing vocals. The audience who enjoyed the show were the people of Teluk Makmur Village, while the staging equipment consisted of musical instruments, sound control and sound out with a mixer, sholawat collection books and. Adjusted staging venues mean that there is no special arrangement or special stage provided by the event host, and adjusts the venue for the event. Makeup using ordinary natural makeup does not change or create a certain character, it is not thick but only adds to the attractiveness of the appearance. Pengaruh Penanaman Nilai Pendidikan Islam dalam Keluarga terhadap Moral Remaja di Desa Pugul Kecamatan Riau Silip Kabupaten Bangka
The problem with this study is that in Pugul village, there are parents who instill the value of Islamic education well in their children and produce good moral children, and there are also parents who produce bad moral children, and vice versa. The aim of this study is to find out how much influence the cultivation of Islamic educational values in the family has on the morality of adolescents in Pugul village, Bangka district. The research method used is quantitative. The process of taking data from two variables uses a closed lift with data analysis techniques using simple linear regression. The results of the research show that there is a significant influence of the cultivation of Islamic educational values in the family on the morality of adolescents in Pugul village, Bangka district. It was deduced with a calculated result of 26,973 with a rate sig. of 0,000, which means 0,000 is less than 0.05 (0,000 < 0.05), so Ha was accepted and Ho rejected. On the regression equation obtained, values a of 28,833 and b of 0,802 indicate that the value of the coefficient of regression is positive. The determination coefficient (R square) indicates a value of 0.415, which means that the cultivation of Islamic educational value in the family affects the morality of adolescents by 41.5%, while the remaining 58.5% is influenced by some other factors
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
