Management Policy for Oil and Gas Sector of Bojonegoro Regency Government in Kang Yoto Era
No full textThis study aims to understand policy strategies employed by the "Kang Yoto" Government in managing oil and gas sector and its implications for economic resilience of Bojonegoro Regency. The changes in economic resilience after being led by Regent Kang Yoto as well as its relation to management of oil and gas sector is an interesting topic to be investigated. Based on the VOSViewer software, there is a limited amount of analysis conducted on oil and gas management regulations. Therefore, this study employs policy-making theory within the decentralization framework using descriptive qualitative analysis with the assistance of NVIVO 12 Plus data software. The results show that the realization of economic resilience during Kang Yoto era is achieved through the issuance of Regional Regulation Number 23 of 2011. Furthermore, the transparency and accountability of the Local Government are identified as the main factors contributing to the increase in regional economy. This demonstrates the interconnectedness between oil and gas management, as well as the implemented regulations.Keywords: Bojonegoro Oil and Gas, Regional Autonomy, Economic Resilience, Kang Yoto Era
AbstrakKajian ini bertujuan untuk memahami strategi kebijakan yang dilakukan oleh Pemerintahan “Kang Yoto” dalam mengelola sektor migas dan implikasinya terhadap ketahanan ekonomi Kabupaten Bojonegoro. Perubahan ketahanan ekonomi setelah dipimpin oleh Bupati Kang Yoto serta kaitannya dengan pengelolaan sektor migas menjadi topik yang menarik untuk ditelaah. Berdasarkan perangkat lunak VOSViewer, terdapat sedikit analisis yang dilakukan terhadap peraturan pengelolaan minyak dan gas. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menggunakan teori pembuatan kebijakan dalam kerangka desentralisasi dengan menggunakan analisis kualitatif deskriptif dengan bantuan perangkat lunak data NVIVO 12 Plus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perwujudan ketahanan ekonomi pada era Kang Yoto dicapai melalui penerbitan Peraturan Daerah Nomor 23 Tahun 2011. Selanjutnya, transparansi dan akuntabilitas Pemerintah Daerah diidentifikasi sebagai faktor utama yang berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan perekonomian daerah. Career Identification of Production Operators’ Position in Manufacture Industries
Full text linkGraduating of Vocational High School in the manufacturing industry occupies job of production position. The demands of industrial needs are in the manufacturing sector. They want employees or labor that have told and professional competencies. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and identify career in operator position. This study uses qualitative research. This research focuses on analysis of operator's position needs in the industry. Based on the results of the research, the work of production operators includes briefing, setting, operating, quality procedures, and engine maintenance. There are several competencies regarding the position of production operators, namely occupational health and safety, quality assurance, measuring instruments, hand tools, technical drawings, general machining, and special conditions. Production operators get salaries, which include grade-based salaries, and salary holidays. Susceptible salary obtained by production operator position gets a vulnerable salary based on the industrial area district minimum wage where he works
The Perspective of Bureaucratic Reform (Kang Yoto\u27s Leadership) in Bojonegoro
Full text linkThe short article aims to discuss the bureaucratic reform by Kang Yoto during his leadership in Bojonegoro Regency. In the governance structure, the local government is a street level bureaucracy that must be responsive to community development. Using library analysis and focus group discussions, Authors also discuss with Kang Yoto as directly, when the process of entoring at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Authors analyze the bureaucratic reform movement carried out by Kang Yoto able to change people\u27s stigma better towards bureaucracy. Some of the things done by Kang Yoto such as the bloated Friday, transforming public services and bureaucratic innovation succeeded in bringing a positive impact on development in Bojonegoro Regency. Needing this shows the success of bureaucratic reform in the regions needs strong commitment and leadership in the regions. This paper is expected to be able to provoke potential regional leaders who will fight in the simultaneous Regional Election in 2020
Institutions, trade, and development: identifying the impact of country-specific characteristics on international trade
No full textWe quantify the impact of country-specific institutions on international trade and development in a structural gravity framework. The econometric analysis offers robust evidence that stronger institutions promote trade. A counterfactual analysis reveals that the changes in institutional quality in the poor countries in our sample between 1996 and 2006 have had, via their impact on imports from rich countries, significant and heterogeneous welfare effects, varying between −2% and 5%. Our approach is readily applicable to identifying the impact of any country-specific variable on international trade in the structural gravity framework
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. A Regression on Climate Policy - The European Commission's Proposal to Reduce CO2 Emissions from Transport
Full text linkAs part of its efforts to reach the targets of the Kyoto Protocol, the European Commission is currently considering a new directive to reduce the per-kilometer CO2 emissions of newly registered automobiles. This paper critically assesses this proposal with respect to its economic and technological underpinnings. We argue that the proposal’s reliance on targets based on per-kilometer emissions not only conceals the true costs of compliance and thereby stifles informed public discourse, but is also less cost-effective than alternative measures such as emissions trading.We further examine the proposal’s underlying assumptions, finding that these misrepresent the current state of automotive technology and therefore may overestimate the feasibility of achieving the suggested emissions targets. Alternative targets are consequently proposed that are argued to more accurately reflect the industry's technological evolution to date.Technological progress, private automobiles, efficiency standards
