Dios, cuerpo y poesía: la inscripción de la corporalidad en Jacobo Fijman y Héctor Viel Temperley
No full textComo una forma particular de decir una experiencia trascendente, la mística nace en un espacio, en un locus que el escritor imagina, crea. Entre los múltiples elementos que allí aparecen, está la corporalidad, cuya inscripción varía de un autor a otro. En el presente artículo cotejamos algunas obras de madurez de Jacobo Fijman y de Héctor Viel Temperley para ver de qué modo se hace presente el cuerpo en ellas, qué lugar ocupa él en los espacios de enunciación que uno y otro configuran.

Nonparametric estimation of a distribution function from doubly truncated data under dependence
No full textThe NPMLE of a distribution function from doubly truncated data was introduced in the seminal paper of Efron and Petrosian (J Am Stat Assoc 94:824-834, 1999). The consistency of the NPMLE depends however on the assumption of independent truncation. In this work we introduce an extension of the Efron-Petrosian NPMLE when the variable of interest and the truncation variables may be dependent. The proposed estimator is constructed on the basis of a copula function which represents the dependence structure between the variable of interest and the truncation variables. Two different iterative algorithms to compute the estimator in practice are introduced, and their performance is explored through an intensive Monte Carlo simulation study. Nunca ceso, afecta directamente al medio ambiente y a los usuarios de los hábitats construidos. El planeta tierra posee, desde Noviembre de 2022, 8 mil millones de habitantes, quienes demandan y se benefician con bienes y servicios producidos por medio de transformaciones energéticas de los recursos naturales. La Provincia del Chaco ha implementado,
como política de estado, la concientización social de la problemática ambiental, como autoridad provincial de aplicación de la “Ley Yolanda” para que los agentes del estado provincial sean vectores y actores activos para la sustentabilidad en sus ámbitos labores y sociales privados por medio del dictado de diferentes módulos académicos, entre los que se encuentra el módulo académico “Edificios Públicos Sostenibles”. In my analysis I’ll study Kaufmann’s theatrical characters and the Jewish identity that defines Kaufmann’s work. The aim is to offer an approach to an unpublished dramatic production that deals with geopraphical, cultural, linguistic and religious borders and boundaries in order to change them.La obra dramática de Jacobo Kaufmann está caracteriza por la presencia constante de las huellas judías que el autor explota de manera innovadora. No full textThe History of Jacobo Xalabín (La historia de Jacobo Xalabín) is a medieval anonymous novel written in the Catalan language. According to the latest research, it dates between 1492 and 1536. The narrator takes us to the court of Sultan Murad I in 1387. Sultan Yakub's first-born son rejects the love of his stepmother Isa Celebina, as a result of which she falls ill. Advised by the only doctor who discovered the cause of her illness – the Jew Kir Moshe, in order to cure her, they planned the death of Yakub Celebi. Although the inclusion of Isa Chelebina's illness in the narrative is only one of its elements, accurate conclusions can be drawn from the narrative about the level of modern medical practice at that time in the examination of patients, the treatment of identified diseases and the imposition of certain stereotypes regarding the qualifications of doctors in different countries. Added to them is the clearly expressed personal attitude of the author towards certain ethnic and religious types – the Christian wife of the ruler Isa Celebina, and the doctor from Constantinople, the Jew Kir Moshe

Oraciones en plata: estudio de la obra inédita de Jacobo Pecul Montenegro
Full text linkThe purpose of this research is the study and attribution of new pieces to Jacobo Pecul Monte negro (1753-1817) a silversmith from Santiago de Compostela. His production reflects an aesthetic clearly influenced by French forms which he learnt from his father Claudio Pecul. But also Galician artists´ work, such as Ferreiro or Simón Rodríguez, had an impact on Montenegro's own creations. Twenty four new pieces have been selected from parish crosses, holy chalices, ciboriums, censers, “navetas” and monstrances, which are referenced in Pecul's manuscript “Libro de Caja”. They were extracted by Couselo Bouzas in his Galicia Artística, and catalogued in the Diocesan Archive of the Catholic Church. These pieces have been studied and attributed to Jacobo Pecul Montenegro by the guidelines set by José Manuel López Vázquez, who has studied the work of this silversmith in depth. This article attempts to make a brief study of both the author and the silversmithing typologies in the shift from the baroque style to the neoclassical style. And at the same time this study also aims to draw attention to Galician silversmithing, which is a patrimony of our popular imagery, and more often than not highly neglected.La presente investigación tiene como objetivo el estudio y atribución de nuevas piezas al orfebre compostelano Jacobo Pecul Montenegro (1753-1817), cuya producción refleja una estética influida por una parte de las formas francesas aprendidas de su padre, Claudio Pecul, y por otra de los artistas gallegos, cómo Ferreiro o Simón Rodríguez. Se han seleccionado veinticuatro nuevas piezas entre cruces parroquiales, cálices, copones, incensarios, navetas y ostensorios, las cuales aparecen referenciadas en el Libro de Caja de Pecul, extractado por Couselo Bouzas en su Galicia Artística, y catalogadas en el Archivo Diocesano de la Iglesia Católica. Dichas obras han sido estudiadas y atribuidas a Jacobo Pecul siguiendo las directrices marcadas por José Manuel López Vázquez, quién ha tratado en profundidad la obra de este platero. En estas páginas se realiza un breve análisis del autor así como de las tipologías de orfebrería religiosa del cambio del barroco al neoclásico en Galicia, pretendiendo así mismo ser una llamada de atención sobre la platería gallega, un patrimonio que forma parte de nuestra imaginería popular y que a menudo queda en el olvido.
