Hoshi Shin'ichi and the genre shoto shoto
This thesis "Hoshi Shin'ichi and the Genre Shto Shto" is addressed to the work of the author, who is in particular renowned for his so-called short short story production. This very genre, which I've intended to focus on with the thesis, has eventually become Hoshi's domain and he thus contributed to the treasure of both Japanese and world's literature by more than one thousand original stories, that have gained the micro-story form considerable popularity of readership as well as acknowledgement and appreciation of experts with broad range of themes, distinctive humour and contemplation on society's nature and future. In addition to abstracting the history and development, basic characteristic features and variety of both themes and genres of the microfiction form also other areas of author's beneficial activity and his personal life and background - that as if predestined him for a writer's path - can't be omitted

Do LiU researchers publish data – and where? Dataset analysis using ODDPub
Swedish researchers are encouraged to share their research data, with a government goal for all publicly funded research to provide open research data by 2026. Hoshi Larsson (2023) investigated the extent and location of research data from LiU researchers. However, the search was limited to datasets with DOIs listed in DataCite Commons, suggesting that many datasets were excluded in the investigation. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify, through articles’ descriptions of open data, to what extent LiU’s researchers are sharing their research data and open code, and if so, which repositories they use for sharing data. This report analyzed LiU articles parallel published in the institute's repository DiVA in 2022 using the ODDPub text-mining algorithm to determine the extent and repositories of LiU researcher’s open research data. The results showed that approximately 10 percent of the articles mentioned data availability, and almost two thirds of the openly shared datasets were in subject-specific repositories. Additionally, 90 percent of LiU's parallel published articles did not mention data availability. The mismatch between data sharing articles detected in Hoshi Larsson (2023) and in this report suggests that findability remains low. The university library should guide researchers on the benefits of data sharing and the importance of findability and provide support in making their research data accessible.Dataset for this report:Hoshi Larsson, K. Poet of Perpetuity and Stagnation: Inoue Yasushi\n―On the Resonance of Youth and Antiquity in Ikoku no Hoshi
pdfInoue Yasushi was an author who has continuously written on the history of the West and the dialogue between Eastern and Western cultures. His literary world consists of genres such as historical novels, biographical novels, and prose poems, but each contains a storytelling structure. Ikoku no Hoshi (1984) likewise has its own form of storytelling. Recording his journey in his 70s along the Silk Road, from northern Siberia, the northern and southern roads of Tien Shan, and the Taklamakan Desert, to Pamir and Pakistan, following the path of Genjō Sanzō, and finally to Istanbul, Ikoku no Hoshi is a challenging work from late in his career. As can be seen from the titles “Gilgit Correspondence”, “Kaxgar Diary”, “Himalayan Moon”, “Letter from the Desert”, The town of Amurskaya”, “Crossing point on the Indus”, “Yumen Notebook”, “At the foot of India (Tenjiku), 1 and 2”, it is a truly grand prose poetry collection. Made up of correspondences, diaries, journals, and notebooks, it is not merely a collection of writings, but is designed to be a prose poem. The secret lies in the world of Inoue Yasushi’s dignified “prose meter”. Inside is hidden a deep and sacred philosophy-perpetuity and stagnation. Of course, the places, times, things, people, thoughts, and events he encountered act as devices for memory. Inoue Yasushi is not the kind of poet or writer who abandons a relation in order to focus on discussing himself. In Ikoku no Hoshi, he touches relentlessly on places he has been in life, experiences during wartime, and people he has met, drawing on memories of the past in order to speak to the deceased. At other times he brings his youth back from his memory to form a dialog with his present self or history of the distant past. It contains a vibrant textuality between his youth and history. This presentation looks at the infrequently examined structure and characterizations in Ikoku no Hoshi through Inoue Yasushi’s prose poems. In addition, through the many thoughts of lnoue Yasushi seen in the deceased author of The Star of Samarkand and his letters to numerous anonymous people, I will examine poet Inoue Yasushi’s philosophy of perpetuity and stagnation.conference pape

Universal banking and the financing of industrial development
In universal banking, large banks operate extensive networks of branches, provide many different services, hold several claims on firms (including equity and debt), and participate directly in the corporate governance of firms that rely on the banks for funding or as insurance underwriters. In this paper, the author contrasts the cost of financing industrialization in the United States and in Germany during the second industrial revolution. He explains that large production is typical of modern industrial practice, so the lessons from that period apply broadly to contemporary developing countries. The second industrial revolution involved many new products and technologies. Firms were producing new goods in new ways on an unprecedented scale. Therefore, they needed quick access to heavy financing. Finance costs for industry were lower in Germany than in the United States, because U.S.regulations prevented the universal banking from which Germany benefited. High finance costs retarded U.S. realization of its full industrial potential. The potential to expand quickly and reap economies of scale was greater in German industrialization. The cost of industrial financing began to decline when institutional changes came about that increased the concentration of financial market transactions. In recent decades, a combination of macroeconomic distress, international competitive pressure, and the creative invention of new financial intermediaries has helped the U.S. financial system overcome the regulatory mandate of financial fragmentation.Financial Intermediation,Payment Systems&Infrastructure,Banks&Banking Reform,Labor Policies,Decentralization,Banks&Banking Reform,Financial Intermediation,Economic Theory&Research,Environmental Economics&Policies,Housing Finance
