Prensa, populismo y resistencia.
In the fall of 1969, Manuel Vázquez Montalbán published five reports entitled
Crónica sentimental de España, where he analyzes everyday life to reflect the
sentimental evolution of Spaniards from the 1940s to the 1960s and highlights the
mechanisms by which popular culture forges the collective imagination, while
the Francoism makes it a transmitter of moral conduct norms within a program
of populist propaganda. The aim of this study is to go through the narrative
construction of the journalistic text and its focus on the populist discourse which
becomes a proposal of resistance.

Legiones y Falanges: prensa populista y literatura
Addressing people in order to enforce their power is a common feature of different political parties and governments, regardless of whether they are right wing or left wing, and, in this process, the press plays a crucial role. In this context, the bilingual publication Legioni e Falangi. Rivista d’Italia e di Spagna/Legiones y Falanges. Revista mensual de Italia y de España (1940–43) is a paradigmatic example. Some of the most important intellectuals of the time, including Azorín, Manuel Machado and Gerardo Diego, wrote in this magazine, facing historical reality of Fascism and Francoism and generating unexpected results.
On the Feminisation of Job and Title Names in Poland and Their Emotive Reception
The article examines the problem of the feminisation of the names of professions and titles in Poland and their emotive reception. Gender-sensitive designations are already in use in the public sphere and especially in some circles that are less conservative. Nevertheless, the lack of official feminisation guidelines, if we do not take into account a 2019 opinion of the Polish Language Council, could contribute to a rejection of feminised terms by some users of the Polish language. This phenomenon is visible on social media in the emotional comments and in using devaluing vocabulary. The conclusions of our preliminary research are based on an analysis of comments posted in 2022 under the posts of Facebook campaign #wspieramfeminatywy, elaborated by the French banking group Parisbas in Poland.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
The persuasive power and the discourse of the social campaigns
The present article aims at analysing the persuasive strategies that the authors of the social campaigns use in order to change the opinions and attitude of their audiences. The scope of the article is to examine the persuasive force of the words used in the slogans of the social campaigns as well as the evocative power of the images on the posters and videos. For this, it will focus on the three objectives of the persuasive discourse, i.e. teaching, pleasing and touching the audience, and examine them in the context of social campaigns that use fear and provocation to achieve their aims. The analysis is based on a corpus of slogans, posters and videos of French, Polish and Italian social [email protected] ŁódzkiBonhomme M., 2014, Pragmatique des figures du discours, Paris.
