No full textRecensiónHenry Corbin (París, 1903-1978), ese gran desconocido en las letras castellanas y autor de referencia para la fenomenología y la historia de la religión. Ante todo, debemos situarnos en el contexto de la primera mitad del siglo XX, tiempo críti- co en Europa, asolado por las guerras, que vio nacer la creación del Círculo de Eranos cuyos encuentros se dieron primero en casa de Olga Fröbe aglutinando personalidades como C. Gustav Jung, Rudolf Otto, Mircea Eliade y el mismo Henry Corbin, entre otros. Por consiguiente, asistimos a un tráfico de ideas y de pensamiento que, entre otros resultados, desembocó hacia la creación de la fenomenología de la religión y cuyo valor reside en la apuesta por el sujeto espiritual y la hermenéutica simbólica. Henry Corbin lo estudió con Ibn Arabî, Sohrawardî y los relatos visionarios de Avicena mientras que C. Gustav Jung, el psiquiatra suizo desvinculado de su maestro S. Freud, tematizó sus experiencias visionarias, como sucedió con el Libro Rojo, publicado recientemente (2009), en torno a tres ejes: a) La emergencia del sí mismo; b) La conciliación de los opuestos, y c) El espíritu de la profundidad versus el espíritu del tiempo.Henry Corbin (Paris, 1903-1978), the great unknown in Spanish literature and author of reference for the phenomenology and history of religion.
