Get PDFThe Author in conducting rsearch and community service activities wants to know the level of compliance and awareness of MSME taxpayers on tax obligations to pay taxes and report annual tax returns and reporting annual tax returns both manually and online on time.The purpose of this study is to better know and understand compliance and awareness to pay taxes and to report annual tax returns in reporting taxes owned.Through this qualitative descriptive study using content analysis with 15 informants on the results of long distance interviews from representatives of MSMEs in the Pondok Melati Sub District,Bekasi City,West Java and 10 key informants in Cipayung District,East Jakarta. Improvement of MSMEs business performance in terms of beingaware of carrying out tax obigations and being able to support the strengthening sector of state revenue for quality domestic MSMEs and fiscal taxes in a productive economic network in order to increase state income in the domestic tax sector. The limitation of the research is that it is limited to understanding and knowing the level of compliance and awareness of MSME taxpayers to pay taxes and reporting annual tax returns on time. The contribution of this research is the compliance and awareness of MSME taxpayers in paying taxes.Py their taxes and report their annual tax returns on time without any element of fraud
ANALISIS NOVEL GENESIS KARYA RATIH KUMALA (KAJIAN PSIKOLOGI SASTRA DAN NILAI-NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER)
Get PDFA research on novel Genesis by Ratih Kumala employed a literary psychological study focusing on literary work as a mental activity (conflict of characters) requiring a holistic analysis to interpret meaning, mandate, and message contained within it. Novel Genesis by Ratih Kumala featured several conflicts affecting its characters’ personality. The conflicts featured in this novel were very complex, either inner conflict or conflict with other characters as human mentality process eventually affecting attitude and conduct. The approach used in this study was descriptive qualitative one. The data of research constituted words, sentence in the form of expression, and dialog between characters indicating the mentality conflict occurring inside the characters on which this study focused. Meanwhile the data source of research was source document, such as books of literary theory, literary psychology and novel Genesis by Ratih Kumala. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling one. Technique of collecting data used in qualitative research was interactive and non-interactive in nature. This study employed theoretical, source or data, and methodological triangulations. Technique of analyzing data used in this research was an interactive analysis one encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The procedure of research included preparation, implementation and presentation of research result. The psychological aspect of character existing in novel Genesis by Ratih Kumala employed Sigmund Freud’s theory distinguishing personality into three types: ide, Ego, and Superego. Literary psychological research was based on these three psychological domains. In novel Genesis, the author had the reason why she featured a nun represented as capable of providing positive nuance to readers’ perception on a nun submitting her entire life to God and avoided from the author’s determination as if she wanted to confirm that every human being encountering problem in his/her life should submit to his/her fate, submit everything to God’s destiny and get closer to God. Pawestri disentangled her tension in her life by deciding to be a nun as the form of her submission to God because she could not retain burden of her past memories, the reason why she preferred living celibate

Get PDFThere are many new words from the social media such as Netizen, Trentop, and Delcon. Those words include in blending. Blending is one of word formations combining two clipped words to form a brand new word. The researchers are interested in analyzing blend words used in the social media such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Blackberry Messenger. This research aims at (1) finding blend words used in the social media (2) describing kinds of blend words used in social media (3) describing the process of blend word formation used in the social media. This research uses some theories dealing with definition of blending and kinds of blending. This research belongs to descriptive qualitative research. Data of the research are English blend words used in social media. Data sources of this research are websites consisting of some English words used in social media and some social media users as the informant. Techniques of data collecting in this research are observation and simak catat. Observation is by observing some websites consisting of some English words used in social media. Simak catat is done by taking some notes on the data and encoding in symbols such as No/Blend words/Kinds of Blending. The researchers use source triangulation to check the data from the researchers with the informant and theory triangulation to determine kinds of blending and blend word formation in social media. There are115 data of blend words. Those data consists of 65 data of Instagram, 47 data of Twitter, 1 datum of Facebook, and 2 data of Blackberry Messenger. There are 2 types of blending used in social media;108 data of blending with clipping and 7 data of blending with overlapping. There are 10 ways of blend word formation found in this research

The data of this research are onomatopoeic forms found in Tintin comic. The data sources for this research are 3 Tintin comics, namely Tintin in the Tibet, Tintin and the Alph-Art, and Tintin and Picaros. To collect the data, the writers use documentation (Tintin comic) and content analysis. Data analysis in this study consists of three stages such as data reduction, data display, and conclusion. There are 51 data of onomatopoeia. The writers find there are 3 types of onomatopoeia; phonomime onomatopoeia (29), phenomime onomatopoeia (12), and psychomime onomatopoeia (10)
BLENDING: SEBUAH ALTERNATIF DALAM PENAMAAN MAKANAN DAN MINUMAN RINGAN
Get PDFThis research aims at finding kinds of blend and describing the formation of blend in snack names found in supermarket around Sukoharjo, Central Java. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Data of this research are the blend which are used in snack brands. The data are taken from several shops and supermarkets such as Indomaret, Alfamart, Mitra, Jumbo, and Hyperrmart in Sukoharjo area. This research uses observation and writing techniques. The data analysis consists of data reduction, data display, and data verification. The data reduction is done by reducing snack brands with no blend in the data collection process. The research uses triangulation theory to deal with the types of blend and the formation of blend. The research finds 62 data of snack brands which use blend. There are three kinds of blend, such as blend with clipping (51 data), blend with phonemic overlapping (7 data), and blend with overlapping and clipping (4 data). Most of the blends are blends with clipping because they are the easiest way to create a new word using blend. Meanwhile, there are 13 ways of blend formation

Get PDFThe research aims at finding the cultural elements in Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House in the Big Woods. This is a descriptive qualitative research. Data source of this research is Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House in the Big Woods. The data of this research are words, phrases, clauses, sentences and conversation with cultural elements found on the data source. Technique for collecting data is documeniation. The data is classified based on the elements of culture. Technique of data analysis consists of data reduction, data display, and data verification. Theory triangulation is used for data validation. The results of the study show that the cultural elements found in Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House in the Big Woods are (1) those dealing with the geographical situation such as animals, plants, and season (2) those relating to the tradition such as eating tradition (meal time, food and beverage, and way of cooking), cloth tradition such as types of clothes, medical tradition, hunting tradition, needle work, sugar snow tradition (3) those dealing with religion and folklore (4) those relating to social values such as speaking manner, eating manner, and meeting people manner
ANALYSIS OF TRANSLATION TECHNIQUES AND TRANSLATION QUALITY OF 2019 SOLO CALENDAR OF EVENT
Get PDFThis research aims at identifying translation techniques applied in translating theexpressions in 2019 Solo Calendar of Event and describing impact of translation techniques on the accuracy of translation of 2019 Solo Calendar of Event from Indonesian to English. It used qualitative research method. Data of the research were collected through content analysis and focus group discussion. They were then qualitatively analyzed. The research findings show that the translator employs nine translation techniques. Most of which are oriented to target language. The most dominant technique is established equivalent while the least dominant one is addition translation technique. In term of accuracy, the translation is categorized as high as indicated by the percentage of the accuracy which reaches 83.64%

Batasan tersebut meliputi adat dan kebiasaan, agama dan kepercayaan, moral dan etika serta hukum yang berlaku di wilayah khalayak sasaran dan juga tuntutan bahasa dan gaya bahasa. Iklan yang diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa sasaran diharapkan mampu mempromosikan barang atau jasa dengan mempertimbangkan budaya pembaca sasaran. Dalam kaitannya dengan ajaran Tamansiswa Ing Ngarsa sung Tuladha, Ing Madya Mangun Karsa Tutwuri Handayani, sistem among ini dapat diadopsi oleh penerjemah dalam melaksanakan penerjemahan, yaitu dalam hal kepribadian yang tertib dan damai.Kata kunci: penerjemahan, iklan, teori skopos Abstract: One of the advertisement aims is to promote products, both goods and services attractively by determining reader target. In advertising products, there are some limitations to obey. The limitations can be about custom and habit, religion and belief, moral and ethics and also law that are followed by the reader areas. Beside that, the main poins are about the demand of language and language style. Translated advertisement into target language is hoped to be able to promote goods and services by determining the culture of reader target. Syntax and Lexicon in Agricultural Proverbs: A Comparative Study of English and Indonesian
Get PDFThe study aims to compare Indonesian and English proverbs with agricultural themes in terms of syntactic structures and lexical choices. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method with a comparative approach. The data consist of 20 agricultural English proverbs found on a website, meanwhile their Indonesian counterparts were obtained from various online sources. Although the dataset is limited in size, the selection process was carefully designed to reduce imbalance and potential bias. The selection and pairing of these proverbs were carried out by applying semantic justification to ensure that both languages reflect comparable meanings. The data were collected through documentation, organized into tables, and analyzed syntactically and lexically. The analysis reveals that both sets of proverbs employ simple, compound, and complex sentences, with complex sentences being the most dominant. The phenomenon indicates that agricultural proverbs in both languages tend to consist of layered wisdom and conditional reasoning, reflecting the complexity of human interaction with nature. Compound sentences, however, are the least frequently found. It suggests that proverbs seldom rely on coordination but rather emphasize subordination and cause-and-effect relations. Lexically, both languages share terms related to seasons, weather, agricultural tools, activities, animals, and plants; however, the specific choices differ due to the cultural and ecological contexts. English proverbs often include words such as "hay," "pig," and "hen" that reflect European farming practices and early industrial elements, which are not commonly found in Indonesian proverbs. Conversely, Indonesian proverbs employ traditional tools such as sumur (well), jala (net), and payung (umbrella), highlighting agrarian traditions and local livelihoods. The findings show how ecological realities and cultural practices shape linguistic representation in agricultural proverbs
