Implementation flow control to improve quality of service on computer networks
Quality of Service (QoS) is the collective effect of service performances, which determine the degree of satisfaction of a user of the service. In addition, QoS defined as the ability of a network to provide good service. QoS aims to provide different quality of services for various needs in the IP network. QoS parameters that can be used to analyze the data communication services are jitter, packet loss, throughput, and delay. The quality of QoS parameters in the network is affected by congestion. Congestion occurs because there is an excessive queue in the network. Congestion can be prevented by implementing flow control on network. Flow control is a method to control the data packet flow in a network. By controlling of the data packet flow, it can improve of QoS. This study intends to find out value of QoS on the internet network at Faculty Engineering, State University of Semarang by measuring network performance using QoS parameters. Then, in this research will be implemented the token bucket method as a flow control mechanism at the network to improve the QoS. After research and data analysis, internet network at Faculty Engineering State University of Semarang has QoS value was 3,5 with 87,5 % of percentage and classified in satisfying of category. When measuring the network performance, there are decreases of performance at access point that having data rates 150 Mbps with many users connected. It has 9,0 ms of delay value, 0.046 ms of jitter, 16,6% of packet loss and, 1293407 bps of throughput. After token bucket was applied as flow control mechanism that be simulated on Graphical Network Simulator 3, the internet network has QoS values 3,75 with 93,75 % of percentage and classified as “satisfying” category. Furthermore, the percentage of the throughput value obtained on network by implementing flow control is 62%, while on the existing network is 41%

Untuk mode FDD nilai delay 70,2 ms, dengan PLR mencapai 53,63%, throughput179,68 kbps dan interarrival jitter 3,34 ms.Kata Kunci : Long Term Evolution (LTE), Time Division Duplex (TDD), FrequencyDivision Duplex (FDD),throughput, delay, packet loss, interarrival jitter.ABSTRACT: Long Term Evolution (LTE) is technology based on Internet Protocol (IP) that supports packet data transfer with a high rate. This technology will be able to meet the communications needs of data users will continue to increase in recent years, in example is video streaming. This technology has two methods, the TDD (Time Division Duplex) and FDD(Frequency Division Duplex). To undergo activities and exercises, the user moves a place to use means of transport with varying speeds so thatperformance of video streamingwhen the user moves decreased because frequency shift that described the influence of the doppler effect. Obviously the video streaming service user needs more support to meet their communication needs in the era of LTE .In this final project, had been simulated performance of video streaming service due respect to throughput, delay, packet loss and interarrival jitter with varying user speeds movement and the user using LTE-Sim software. Then be analyzed values of the various aspects of service performanceobtained from the simulation. From the analysis we got the right mode LTE technology to be applied from various user speeds and the user that more support performance of video streaming services. In this study the results obtained for the scenario of streaming video services on the network and the LTE TDD mode FDD mode with the number of users 10-40 users at a speed of movement of the user\u27s 0-120 km / h. TDD mode provides a very satisfactory performance of all the variations of speed of movement of the user and the user than the TDD mode. At 120 Km/h speed and number of users 40 users, the delay of the TDD mode is 19.9 ms, 0.29% PLR, throughput of 422.9 kbps and 0.95ms inter arrival jitter. For FDD mode the 70.2 ms delay, the PLR reaches 53.63%, 179.68 kbps throughput and 3.34 ms inter arrival jitter.Keyword: Long Term Evolution (LTE), Time Division Duplex (TDD), Frequency Division Duplex (FDD), throughput, delay, packet loss, inter arrival jitter
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Fiksi Sejarah Pangeran Diponegoro Remi Sylado: Sebuah Kontestasi Kekuasaan.
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods

This study aims to design a website-based recycling waste management system at UD Mugi Jaya Sentosa. The research approach used is a web-based system development method. Data were obtained through direct observation, interviews with factory management, and document studies. The designed system enables the factory to efficiently record and manage recycling waste, from monitoring incoming and outgoing waste data to reporting recycling results. This study also offers ideas to leverage information technology in creating more effective and efficient recycling waste management solutions. The implementation of this system is expected to increase waste management efficiency, reduce negative environmental impacts, and provide economic benefits to the factory. The main findings of this study are the design and implementation of a recycling waste management system that meets the factory's needs and has the potential to become a sustainable solution in environmental preservation efforts. The design process will use the waterfall method, which includes the stages of requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The author uses the NextJs and ExpressJs programming languages for the frontend and backend, which have integrated routing by default, so the author does not need to manage routing manually. With the support of TypeScript, it is hoped that developers can write safer and more understandable code, creating an efficient system according to needs and facilitating future maintenance. The results of the SUS testing received a score of 78, which falls into the GOOD category, so it can be concluded that users are quite comfortable using the system
