PERBEDAAN KEMAMPUAN MEMECAHKAN MASALAH DAN RETENSI MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PBL (PROBLEM BASED LEARNING) DAN CERAMAH BERVARIASI PADA MATERI KEANEKARAGAMAN HAYATI INDONESIA SISWA KELAS X MIA SMA NEGERI 2 SURAKARTA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2014/2015
Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Perbedaan kemampuan
memecahkan masalah antara model PBL dan ceramah bervariasi pada materi
keanekaragaman hayati Indonesia siswa kelas X MIA SMA Negeri 2 Surakarta
tahun pelajaran 2014/2015, 2) Perbedaan retensi antara model PBL dan ceramah
bervariasi pada materi keanekaragaman hayati Indonesia siswa kelas X MIA SMA
Negeri 2 Surakarta tahun pelajaran 2014/2015.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experiment)
dengan desain penelitian posttest only nonequivalent control group design.
Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X MIA SMAN 2 Surakarta sebanyak
lima kelas. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster sampling, diperoleh kelas X
MIA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 menggunakan model PBL dan kelas X MIA 4
sebagai kelas eksperimen 2 menggunakan ceramah bervariasi. Teknik pengambilan
data dengan tes dan non tes. Tes digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan
memecahkan masalah dan retensi. Pengukuran kemampuan memecahkan masalah
menggunakan tes pemecahan masalah. Pengukuran retensi menggunakan posttest
dan retest. Retest dilaksanakan dua minggu setelah posttest. Non tes berupa lembar
observasi digunakan untuk mengukur keterlaksanaan sintak dan dokumentasi
digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data awal untuk keperluan uji kesetaraan.
Hasil uji hipotesis dengan uji t menguji: 1) perbedaan kemampuan
memecahkan masalah antara model PBL dan ceramah bervariasi dengan nilai
signifikansi 0,00 (sig.ttabel), menunjukkan
kemampuan memecahkan masalah menggunakan model PBL lebih baik daripada
ceramah bervariasi. 2) perbedaan retensi antara model PBL dan ceramah bervariasi
dengan nilai signifikansi 0,00 (sig.ttabel),
menunjukkan retensi menggunakan model PBL lebih baik daripada ceramah
bervariasi.
Simpulan penelitian ini adalah 1) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan
memecahkan masalah antara model PBL dan ceramah bervariasi pada materi
keanekaragaman hayati Indonesia siswa kelas X MIA SMA Negeri 2 Surakarta
tahun pelajaran 2014/2015, 2) terdapat perbedaan retensi antara model PBL dan
ceramah bervariasi pada materi keanekaragaman hayati Indonesia siswa kelas X
MIA SMA Negeri 2 Surakarta tahun pelajaran 2014/2015.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. PENGARUH IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PBL (PROBLEM BASED LEARNING) TERINTEGRASI PEMBELAJARAN BERDIFERENSIASI TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPAS KELAS V SD NEGERI 47/IV KOTA JAMBI
Based on the results of the pre-study, it is known that students' critical thinking skills are still not optimal. This is caused by the learning approach that has not been able to encourage the development of creativity and high-level thinking skills. To overcome this problem, the Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach combined with differentiated learning is offered as an innovative strategy to improve students' critical thinking skills. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method. The design applied is Pre-Experimental with the form of One-Group Pretest-Posttest. The subjects of the study were fifth grade students of Elementary School 47/IV Jambi City. The critical thinking ability measurement instrument has been validated through expert judgment and limited trials. The indicators measured include the ability to identify problems, analyze arguments, evaluate information, draw logical conclusions, and make rational decisions. The results of the study showed a significant increase in critical thinking skills after the implementation of learning. The average pretest score of 53.23 increased to 75.32 in the posttest, which shows that the approach applied has a positive influence on the development of students' critical thinking skills. The integration of PBL with differentiated learning is not only able to encourage the improvement of critical thinking skills, but also provides space for individual learning needs, as well as increasing students' active involvement in the learning process. Theoretically, this study strengthens the relevance of constructivism theory in elementary education. Practically, the results of this study provide alternative effective and adaptive learning strategies for teachers in developing critical thinking skills in heterogeneous classes.Berdasarkan hasil pra-penelitian, ditemukan bahwa peserta didik masih memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis yang kurang optimal. Hal ini disebabkan oleh model pembelajaran yang diterapkan belum mampu mendukung perkembangan kreativitas mereka. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik, salah satu pendekatan yang dapat digunakan adalah model Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang dikombinasikan dengan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan model PBL terintegrasi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam mata pelajaran IPAS di kelas V SD Negeri 47/IV Kota Jambi. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen, menggunakan desain Pre-Experimental dengan bentuk One-Group Pretest-Posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model PBL terintegrasi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan perbedaan skor rata-rata antara pretest (53,23) dan posttest (75,32), yang menunjukkan peningkatan setelah penerapan model pembelajaran tersebu
Pembelajaran Berdiferensiasi di Sekolah Dasar dengan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas
Diferensiasi dalam PTK (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas) adalah pendekatan yang digunakan oleh guru untuk menyesuaikan pengajaran dengan kebutuhan, minat, dan kemampuan siswa yang berbeda-beda di dalam kelas. Penelitian ini memilki tujuan untuk melihat bagaimana pembelajaran berdiferensiasi di sekolah dasar. Metode yang dipakai dalam karya tulis ini yaitu studi pustaka (library research) yakni sebuah metode yang umum digunakan untuk memberikan sebuah pengumpulan data dengan cara memberikan pemahaman dan mempelajari teori-teori dari beberapa jurnal atau karya ilmiah seseorang yang memiliki keterhubungan dengan penelitian yang dipakai. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu analisis yang mana nantinya akan dipakai dalam menggumpulkan data dan sumber yang berhubungan dalam penelitian ini. Jenis data yang digunakan kualitatif peneliti memilih kualitatif di karenakan metode yang dipakai adalah studi pustaka yang mana peneliti lebih banyak membaca dari sumber-sumber jurnal untuk dijadikan bahan pembahasan dalam bacaan yang dibuat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan diferensiasi melalui PTK mampu meningkatkan motivasi, partisipasi, serta hasil belajar siswa. Penerapan diferensiasi pada konten yang disesuaikan dengan gaya belajar siswa, proses pembelajaran yang lebih variatif, dan produk pembelajaran yang memungkinkan siswa untuk menunjukkan hasil belajar sesuai kemampuan masing-masing, terbukti memberikan dampak positif. Meskipun demikian, tantangan dalam implementasi seperti keterbatasan waktu dan sumber daya tetap menjadi hambatan yang perlu diatasi. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
