Climate change and lake establishment have caused ecological damage to the lake in Gunungkidul Regency, while the community still relies on environmental wisdom as a resource for economic activities. The lake as a water source provider is the most significant environmental entity for traditional Gunungkidul communities living in water-scarce areas (karst) to support the community's economy, especially in the development of fisheries, agriculture, and livestock. Responding to these conditions, the Resan Community as a forum for local community associations in Gunungkidul conducts social-ecological activities as a form of strengthening local adaptation to climate change and environmental functions that occur. This study then focus on how Resan's strategy in community-based conservation in Gunungkidul Regency and analyze it from the perspective of environmental ethics to configure the form of local movements. This research is pursued with a descriptive qualitative approach by simultaneously conducting investigations through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation in Padukuhan Dondong which initiated the revitalization of Lake Dondong. The results showed that the Resan Community's strategic ideas in communitybased environmental conservation were formed through traditional integration and highlighting of the community and its local wisdom that has grown in Padukuhan Dondong. This strategy takes the form of awareness, capacity building, and empowerment. Awareness raising is done to reconstruct the community's position in development from object to subject. Capacity building is carried out as a means of educating the community based on a fluid and relaxed wedangan about environmental conservation efforts. Meanwhile, empowerment is carried out by giving as much authority and power as possible to the community. Meanwhile, in the process, this conservation effort shows a combination of approaches taken by the Resan Community based on environmental ethics studies. Both are the anthropocentric approach and the human ecology welfare approach

    No full text
The objective of this project is to develop a fault detection system in an oil or gas pipeline. The detection system must be able to move along the pipeline, deposit at various locations to sense the presence of pipe thinning due to corrosion, and communicate that information to an outside receiver for processing. At the present time, the existing technology uses a non-destructive inspection of pipelines for fluid transport based principally on the Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) technique and the oil pipeline needs to be shut down in order to let the device investigate the pipe. The author strives to create an alternative for the MFL technique since the system that exists nowadays is costly and very complicated. Many methods and techniques had been considered, but only one had been chosen, which is using an ultrasonic sound wave

Technology regards to Oil and Gas industries has developed very fast on par with the research and development activity. Back to 1930s, directional drilling is not a very common method for drilling, but not for nowadays especially on the offshore field, many operators prefer to use the directional drilling technology in order to save cost without having to build another drilling platform which is very expensive. Therefore, it is important to have a very accurate tool in determining a very good precise value of inclination and azimuth of the wellbore during drilling operation. By obtaining the precise inclination and azimuth, the driller will then use that particular data to calculate the wellbore trajectory and determine the exact position and location of the wellbore. Based on the available methods of survey calculation, the author will use the most simple and common methods in analyzing the well trajectory of Well X. The Author will also calculate the absolute error for each of the method in order to determine which method is the most suitable to be apply for Well X. The results indicate the minimum of curvature method have the smallest error follow by the average tangential method accordingl
