In the present work it has been carried out the translation and análisis of the first two chapters of the novel “Blue and blak” by the Taiwanese author Wang Lan. Firstly, a brief introduction to the study of Taiwanese literatura is presented. Secondly, the translation is attached as well as the análisis of the linguistic and cultural difficulties for the translation found in the text and the processes carried out to solve them

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
China’s National Urban Agenda : Transition and Reframing Cities
Chinese cities have been transforming at a stunning speed and pace over the last forty years, as a result of the transition from a centrally planned (1949–1978) to a market economy launched by Deng Xiaoping’s economic reforms in the late Seventies (the so-called open door policy). Given China’s highly centralized political system, a national urban agenda—embodied in specific Five-Year Socio-Economic Development Plans—has been officially set up by the Communist Party of China since 1953. Yet, following the economic transition, a number of significant changes have progressively affected such agenda. These changes—we argue—have greatly modified the role and function of cities in Chinese politics, society, culture and economy, reframing the meanings and the values attributed to urban areas. The chapter discusses the strategies that the Chinese government has pursued in its national urban agenda since 1949, recalling the most important documents, plans, policies and programmes launched at the central level. It firstly explores the policy changes that occurred during the transition from the Maoist to the post-reform period; then, it presents and discusses the new urban agenda and model of urbanization introduced in 2014 to achieve sustainable development for the whole Country
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
The Purchasing Behavior Analysis of B2B Customer - Take a Pharmaceutical Company as example
More and more B2B companies have begun thinking about how to understand their customers deeply, and provide more products and services to meet their needs. By doing this, they can not only increase profits, but also build long-term relationship with customers.
Through the creation of database, companies can control cost structure and the inventory; but how to get effective information from the database to help understanding the demands of market and customers’ potential behavior are really testing the companies’ marketing knowledge. This research focuses on the issue, using the Hierarchical Bayesian Statistical Model to analyze the database and find out the customers’ purchasing behavior.
In order to explore the relevance of inter-purchase time, product price and purchase quantity, the HB method is used to build the model and parameters are estimated by Markov Chain - Monte Carlo method. Besides, the actual transaction records are divided into four major categories to analyze and the customer segmentations are also analyzed in the overall layer.
As the result, some customers have significant behaviors consistent with the assumptions in the oral and external category, and the customers with B class rating in credit are more significant than others. In the future, I believe that the marketing strategy and relationship based on the results would be more useful and effective
