Flavor Bounds on The ALP–Fermion Couplings Under The “Invisible Axion” Assumption
Get PDFThe present manuscript is a brief, self--contained study of the ALP solution to the Strong CP problem of QCD.
The Standard Model is embedded with an ALP via an Effective Field Theory truncated at the lowest
non--renormalizable order in the Laurent expansion. The field content and the symmetry group are minimally
extended adding a single pseudo--scalar light resonance to the Standard Model, that is the Goldstone boson of an
anomalous global symmetry spontaneously broken at some high energy scale
The Effective Field Theory is then evolved along its Renormalization Group flow from this Ultra--Violet scale down
to the perturbative limit of QCD. Some attention is dedicated to the non--perturbative regime of Strong Interactions
with the QCD--Chiral Lagrangian.
Weak annihilation-induced ALP emissions generated by flavor conserving couplings and weak mesonic decays
induced by flavor violating ALP couplings are studied in the framework of a single experimental signature.
This allows to extract important bounds and correlation information on the low--energy ALP--fermion couplings
from flavor factories data. ALP--leptonic final state decays are also studied, a correction on the massless ALP limit
and the full mass dependence of the decay width is recovered. This opens up the study for a plethora of signals able

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Río Negro, Argentina.Throughout the 20th century, the conceptual framework for the study of violence, associated with processes of government construction, colonialism, segregation and extermination, international and liberation wars, has produced a relevant theoretical corpus that proposes new approaches to the concept of war and the genesis of genocide. This paper analyzes how the above mentioned concepts were applied to studying the processes of submission and incorporation of indigenous people in the South American cone. This paper focuses on three central questions regarding the following issues: the definition of social actors, state, agency and the relevance of said concepts for case of the Pampa and the north of Patagonia regions.A lo largo del siglo XX el aparato conceptual para abordar la violencia asociada a los procesos de formación estatal, colonialismo, segregación y exterminio étnico, guerras interestatales y de liberación, ha producido un importante corpus teórico en el que destacan las redefiniciones del concepto de guerra y la génesis de otros como genocidio. Este artículo aborda especialmente los usos de estos conceptos en el estudio de los procesos de sometimiento e incorporación de los pueblos originarios en el cono sur americano. Se abordan tres preguntas en relación con la definición de actores sociales, estado, agencia y pertinencia de dichos conceptos para el caso de Pampa y Norpatagonia

Get PDFDurante el mes de enero de 2017, la represión a la Lof en Resistencia (una comunidad ubicada en el departamento patagónico de Cushamen) alcanzó una enorme relevancia pública. Los medios de comunicación argentinos destacaron la violencia de la Gendarmería y la policía provincial en los operativos ordenados por la justicia provincial y federal sobre los miembros de la comunidad y aquellos que se solidarizaron con ella. Estos episodios expresaron la intención y la organización represiva ejemplarizadora del Estado nacional y los poderes económicos contra las formas de organización y los reclamos populares.En el presente artículo se aborda este conflicto en el marco del actual contexto político y como resultado de los procesos históricos de sometimiento e incorporación indígena en Argentina.Fil: Delrio, Walter Mario.
