LA ECLESIOLOGÍA ETNOGRÁFICA DE NICHOLAS M. HEALY. REFLEXIONES EN TORNO AL USO DE LA INVESTIGACIÓN CUALITATIVA EN ECLESIOLOGÍA
Get PDFLa distancia frecuente que existe entre la Iglesia concreta y la eclesiología plantea desafíos impostergables para la teología sistemática de nuestro tiempo. En el contexto de América Latina, esto se relaciona con la recepción del método inductivo, asumido por la constitución pastoral Gaudium et spes, que ha tenido y tiene un impacto decisivo en la configuración del ser eclesial y la forma de hacer teología en la región. En este horizonte, este artículo presenta algunos resultados de una investigación reciente sobre el uso de la “etnografía” en eclesiología. Los objetivos fijados fueron esclarecer la utilidad empírica, la validez epistemológica y la función pastoral del método cualitativo en el ámbito de la eclesiología. Metas que conducen a presentar, en la primera parte de este texto, el problema y su alcance en relación con el marco conceptual. La segunda parte se orienta a revisitar y recepcionar los aportes del teólogo católico norteamericano Nicholas Healy, como parte de una extensa producción en el área angloparlante. Sus principales contribuciones son la crítica a las blueprint ecclesiologies, la asunción del horizonte “teodramático” y la propuesta de una “eclesiología etnográfica”. En las conclusiones se subrayan algunos desafíos actuales para la teología sistemática; la necesidad de asumir la realidad de Iglesia concreta, la crisis eclesial y los signos de renovación en eclesiología; la relevancia de la relación entre etnografía y eclesiología ante las dimensiones eclesiales que piden reforma y reconciliación, así como los aportes más significativos de N. Healy para ser retomados en el contexto latinoamericano
Inserted Religious Life as a Path to Authentic Consecrated Chastity—The Witness of Non-Violent Solidarity of Alice Domon and José Aldunate Lyon in Latin America 1967–1983
No full textThe reception of the Decree Perfectae caritatis in Latin America can be understood in connection with the emergence of the preferential option for the poor and the call for consecrated religious life to the insertion since the 1960s. As part of the existing link between conciliar texts and renewal movements, it is worth highlighting the testimony of religious life lived in solidarity with the poor as a way of practicing chastity and incorporating sexuality. This topic is explored through the life stories of two individuals, Alice Domon in Argentina (1937–1977) and José Aldunate Lyon in Chile (1917–2019), within the framework of related studies on ethnographic ecclesiology and the theology of renewed religious life. Amidst military governments, institutional violence, abuses of power, and human rights violations, the lives of these two consecrated individuals showcase an alternative path marked by self-emptying, unwavering fidelity, non-violent action, and prophetic denunciation. The pursuit of integration between contemplative and apostolic aspects in the love for God and the poor, along with the defense of human rights in solidarity with the victims and their families, are some of the keys that define an adapted understanding of religious life in the Latin American context

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
