Non-Integrability of the Sasano System of Type ⁽¹⁾₅ and Stokes Phenomena
In 2006, Y. Sasano proposed higher-order Painlevé systems, which admit affine Weyl group symmetry of type ⁽¹⁾ₗ, = 4, 5, 6, …. In this paper, we study the integrability of a four-dimensional Painlevé system, which has symmetry under the extended affine Weyl group ˜(⁽¹⁾₅) and which we call the Sasano system of type ⁽¹⁾₅. We prove that one family of the Sasano system of type ⁽¹⁾₅ is not integrable by rational first integrals. We describe Stokes phenomena relative to a subsystem of the second normal variational equations. This approach allows us to compute in an explicit way the corresponding differential Galois group and therefore to determine whether the connected component of its unit element is not Abelian. Applying the Morales-Ramis-Simó theory, we establish a non-integrable result. The author is indebted to the referees for their critical remarks and advice towards the improvement of the paper. Designing ESP Courses: Principles & Specificities
The article is aimed at specialists in teaching English for professional communication and is dedicated to development of courses of English for Specific Purposes (ESP). The author describes characteristic features of such courses, that need to be considered by methodologists, and describes an algorithm that has been successfully used in course development at Skyes University and Skyeng online school. Besides the step-by-step algorithm, the article describes tools that are needed to successfully develop an ESP course: tools to check the text CEFR level, tools to select learning outcomes, vocabulary and grammar functions for a specific level of language acquisition, goals and professional area. The article also lists tools to ensure the pragmatic value of the course being developed and reasons for using particular approaches and techniques in teaching, such as Task-based learning, Project-based learning, case studies. All the methods and techniques, described by the author, are illustrated with examples from online courses that have been designed and used by Skyeng and Skyes University platform. The algorithm and set of tools will be useful for development not only of online courses but also of textbooks of English for Specific purposes and professional communication
Giorgio Damistra (1650-?), Theodoro Poulakis (1620-1692?) e il Barocco Levantino
This paper reports the recent discovery of the autograph of Giorgio da Mistra, an apprentice of the famous Greek icon painter Theodoro Poulakis, on an icon of Saint Demetrius. In order to check its authenticity and give a plausible dating, the Author compares the biography, pictorial technique and aesthetic orientation of both post-Byzantine painters. She further introduces little-known notices about the Russian acquisitions during the 19th century on the Italian antiquarian market that could have intercepted other Da Mistra’s works and, in general, are of potential interest for the study of the post-Byzantine painting
Short presentation of study on civil-military cooperation: meaning, leading principles, functions and cimic in emergency situations
The article presents the eternal relevance of the decision-making process and its inseparable connection with the personality of the decision-maker. Broadly speaking, the subject of consideration is the civil-military cooperation and relations. The main goal of the author is to review the leading principles and functions of CIMIC and offer information about an actual event where this was helpfully used. Methods: The scientific methodology used is a combination of a theoretical review of the issue and the presentation of the mentioned techniques used in emergency situations in Bulgaria. Results: The importance of the civil-military cooperation in both military and non-military operations is analysed in the article. This is accomplished by using real situations as examples and by theoretical conclusions. Conclusions: The topic is essential for both military and nonmilitary research and operations. As far as the author is concerned, this civil-military cooperation is of paramount importance to the success of military operations
