    The Master of Basic Education Study Program, State University of Jakarta conducted a tracer study in meeting the demands of the market, especially the workforce and to increase competitiveness in improving the education system so far. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires given to alumni (graduates) from 2012 to 2022. Respondents of the tracer study consisted of 44 alumni of the Master of Basic Education Study Program, State University of Jakarta. Data analysis was carried out descriptively quantitatively in the form of percentages and the meaning of each tracer study finding was carried out qualitatively. The stages of interpreting tracer study data are data collection stages, data reduction stages, data exposure stages and data verification stages. The results of this tracer study are expected to be taken into consideration for policy makers in making improvements and updating educational strategies and orientations, making technical improvements to the implementation of education and teaching, and providing input for curriculum improvement / change so that graduates of the Master of Basic Education Study Program, State University of Jakarta become better in their intellectual capacity, skills and morals and personality

    This study aims to gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between self-confidence and speaking skills in elementary school students through a literature review. The research uses a literature review method by collecting journal articles to be read and analyzed. Based on the findings of the literature study, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between self-confidence and speaking skills in elementary school students. An increase in self-confidence positively impacts the students' speaking ability, emphasizing the importance of developing self-confidence in the speaking learning process

    This study aims to analyze the need for teaching materials that are practical and interesting according to the character of fourth grade elementary school students so that they can increase students' optimism in writing. This study uses descriptive qualitative assessment. This technique is used to observe the need to increase the material for writing descriptive texts in elementary schools. This study is for observation and to form patterns of material in order to facilitate learning to write descriptive texts in elementary schools. The data for this study were obtained through questions and answers to class IV teachers as well as distributing questionnaires to all students at SDN Rawasari 05 Pagi. Through the acquisition of questions and answers, the class teacher at SDN Rawasari 05 Pagi showed the need for companion material for theme 3. So according to the needs analysis questionnaire that was carried out, it was shown that 78% of students needed companion material for the theme book. Through the acquisition of questionnaires and questions and answers, this gives the fact that it is necessary to increase the material for theme 3 thematic books which are dominated by technology in order to support the learning stages which have implications for logic and increase the skills of students. The reviewer hopes that the existence of this needs analysis can help students be able to help deal with conflicts in learning to write descriptive texts and this study is a form of educational participation in elementary schools

    IMPROVING NARRATIVE TEXT WRITING SKILLS USING PROJECT-BASED LEARNING TECHNIQUES IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

    Writing narrative text is one of the important aspects of language education that involves students' ability to organize their ideas into a coherent and meaningful narrative. However, many students face difficulties in writing narrative texts due to lack of practical experience and lack of imaginative stimulation. In this regard, the Project Based Learning (PjBL) technique has proven to be an effective teaching approach in developing students' writing skills and imaginative abilities. PjBL engages students in real projects or tasks that require problem solving, research and collaboration. In the context of writing narrative texts, PjBL allows students to develop their writing skills through projects that encourage imagination, creativity, and collaboration. This study aims to see how the Project Based Learning (PjBL) technique can improve narrative text writing skills while developing imaginative ideas and self-confidence of fifth-grade students of SDN Semplak 2 Bogor. This study used classroom action research with 2 cycles following the Kemmis and Taggart model. Each cycle includes 4 stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study involved 17 fifth-grade students. Data were obtained using tests and words. The findings of this study indicate that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) technique can help improve narrative text writing skills. The results showed an increase in Project Based Learning (PjBL) writing skills in fifth-grade students. Menulis teks naratif adalah salah satu aspek penting dalam pendidikan bahasa yang melibatkan kemampuan siswa untuk mengorganisir ide-ide mereka menjadi sebuah narasi yang koheren dan bermakna. Namun, banyak siswa menghadapi kesulitan dalam menulis teks naratif karena kurangnya pengalaman praktis dan kurangnya rangsangan imajinatif. Dalam hal ini, teknik Project Based Learning (PjBL) telah terbukti menjadi pendekatan pengajaran yang efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan menulis dan kemampuan imajinatif siswa. PjBL melibatkan siswa dalam proyek atau tugas nyata yang membutuhkan pemecahan masalah, penelitian, dan kolaborasi. Dalam konteks menulis teks naratif, PjBL memungkinkan siswa untuk mengembangkan kemampuan menulis mereka melalui proyek yang mendorong imajinasi, kreativitas, dan kolaborasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana teknik Project Based Learning (PjBL) dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks naratif sekaligus mengembangkan ide imajinatif dan kepercayaan diri siswa kelas V SDN Semplak 2 Bogor. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan 2 siklus yang mengikuti model Kemmis dan Taggart. Setiap siklus meliputi 4 tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini melibatkan 17 siswa kelas V. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan tes dan kata-kata. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa teknik Project Based Learning (PjBL) dapat membantu meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks naratif.     This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on the interpersonal communication skills of upper-grade elementary school students. The method employed is a Literature Review with a qualitative approach, analyzing 20 scholarly publications published between 2019 and 2025. The analysis results indicate that the TPS model consistently contributes positively to enhancing various aspects of interpersonal communication skills, such as speaking, listening, expressing opinions, as well as fostering cooperation, empathy, and self confidence. The three stages of the TPS model think, pair, and share create a collaborative learning environment that supports social interaction and active idea exchange

    Early-stage reading competence is an important aspect that primary school students must have to follow other learning at an advanced level. Teaching materials have an essential role in this early reading learning. This research aims to see the need for developing teaching materials, especially in early-stage reading, to complement the Indonesian teaching materials already used in the research school. The teaching materials for early-stage reading are summarized in the Indonesian teaching materials so that causing the content of the early-stage lesson is less intensive to support learning. This research used interviews, document reviews, and needs analysis questionnaires. Respondents and resource persons in this study were the principal, grade 1 and grade 2 teachers of SDN Cigoong 3 Serang City. The results showed that the Indonesian Language Learning Outcomes (CP) in the reading element in Phase A requires students to master the competency of early-stage reading, so teaching materials are needed with the type of printed publication, using the SAS (Structural Analytic Synthetic) starting reading method.     PENGARUH STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN DIRECTED READING THINKING ACTIVITY TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA INFERENSIAL SISWA KELAS IV SD

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) terhadap kemampuan membaca inferensial siswa kelas IV di SDN Semanan 05 Jakarta Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-eksperimen, yakni Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 58 peserta didik yang dibagi dalam dua kelompok: eksperimen dan kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pretest dan posttest berbentuk soal pilihan ganda. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai posttest kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dibandingkan nilai pretest, sedangkan kelompok kontrol tidak menunjukkan peningkatan. Hasil uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,002 (< 0,05), yang mengindikasikan bahwa strategi DRTA memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan membaca inferensial siswa. Hasil ini juga diperkuat oleh fakta bahwa siswa dalam kelompok eksperimen lebih aktif dan mampu memahami bacaan secara mandiri. Oleh karena itu, strategi DRTA dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran yang berguna untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam membaca inferensial di sekolah dasar

    Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan  yang difokuskan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan membaca terutama pada pemahaman teks nonfiksi dengan  diterapkannya metode membaca terbimbing terhadap siswa kelas V di SDN unung 01 pagi. SDN Gunung 01 Pagi. Dimanfaatkannya Metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes keterampilan membaca pemahaman dan pengamatan tindakan aktivitas guru serta siswa. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan, terutaama pada siklus I ditunjukkan persentase 38%  yang masih rendah dari target yang ditetapkan. Namun, pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan menjadi sebesar 83%. Kemudian berdasarkan hasil pengamatan terhadap aktivitas guru, yang berawal dari persentase 77,5 mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 95% Disimpulkan bahwa di dalam proses pengamatan/penelitian ini  tercakup aspek identifikasi kendala,  perbaikan strategi,  dan refleksi yang dilakukan terhadap tindakan keduanya. Dapat dikatakan bahwa dengan memanfaatkan metode membaca terbimbing ini secara berhasil  mampu dalam mengupayakan  adanya peningkatan terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman kritis yang dimiliki oleh siswa

    Graduates of the Master of Basic Education are required to become professional teachers and be able to provide guidance services to elementary school students. This research with the type of explanatory sequential mixed methods aims to see the readiness of Master of Basic Education students in providing guidance services to elementary school students. This research was conducted in semester 117 of the 2022/2023 academic year with 27 respondents of Master of Basic Education students in 2022 who have worked as professional elementary school teachers. The research sample was determined by purposive sampling method. The research data were collected and analyzed using qualitative and quantitative approaches from research instruments in the form of semi-structured interviews and semi-structured questionnaires. The research findings show that the level of readiness of respondents in providing nine types of guidance services to elementary school students is in the percentage range between 82% and 93%. This means that the level of readiness of Master of Basic Education students as professional elementary school teachers in providing guidance services to elementary school students is very good

    PENGEMBANGAN MODUL GEOMETRI RUANG BERBASIS STRUCTURED INQUIRY UNTUK SISWA KELAS V SD

    This research was aimed to produce mathematic module in the content of space geometry. The method used in this research is research and development (R&D) with an adaptation of ADDIE development models. This research can only carried out from expert judgment, which media expert, material expert, and language expert. The collection data techniques include interview, and questionnaire. The result for this space geometry module obtained 90.00% from materials expert, 80.80% from media expert, and 84.00% from language expert. Based on the results from the three of expert, obtained an average score 83.84%. It shows that space geometry module based on structured inquiry can be categorized as very good with score range 81%-100%, and it can be use as one of teaching suplementary material’s reference for space geometry content to upgrade the concepts understanding of 5th grade elementary school students
