Foundations in Urfa Province According to Urfa Court Registers With The Numbers of 204, 205, 218 and 225 Between 1845-1899
belgelerden meydana gelmektedir. Uygarlığın önemli bir bileşeni olan vakıflar, Osmanlı
ülkesinin köklü kurumlarından biri olma özelliğiyle toplumun sosyal, ekonomik, politik
ve kültürel alanlarında önemli bir rol oynamıştır. Bu çalışma, Urfa’daki vakıfların tarihine
küçük de olsa bir katkı sağlamayı amaçlamıştır
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
The effects of rational emotive behavior therapy and motivational interviewing on emotions, automatic thoughts, and perceived performance of elite female volleyball players
URFA, OSMAN/0000-0002-9821-671X; Asci, Hulya/0000-0002-6650-6931Objectives: The aim of this study was to examine the effect of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy intervention alone (REBT-A) or with motivational interviewing (REBT + MI) on the emotions, automatic thoughts, and perceived performance of elite female volleyball players. Design: and method: Single-case, staggered multiple-baseline AB and ABC designs were adapted in the study. Five female volleyball players participated in the study, of which three players participated in the REBT-A and two players participated in the REBT + MI. The athletes were competing in the national volleyball league (Mage = 28, SD = 5.52). All participants were elite athletes with at least ten years of sports experience. Three scores (T1, T2, T3) were calculated for the athletes' perceived performance, emotion, and automatic thoughts. T1 was the baseline score calculated before the sessions. T2 was calculated after the first two sessions (the first three sessions for REBT + MI) and T3 was calculated after the last three sessions. In the data analysis, percentage changes, effect size, and visual analyzes were used in the T1, T2, and T3 scores. Results: REBT-A and REBT + MI interventions increased perceived performance, positive emotions, and positive automatic thoughts, and decreased negative emotions and negative automatic thoughts. REBT + MI was more advantageous than REBT-A in increasing positive emotion, positive automatic thought, and perceived performance. Conclusions: As a result, REBT alone or with motivational interviewing has a positive effect on perceived performance, emotions, and automatic thoughts, but REBT + MI has greater potential to increase positive constructs.Science Citation Index Expanded - Social Science Citation Inde
The common features between Urfa center dialect and Azerbaijani turkish
The Anatolian dialects are an important source of data in determining the stage of the Turkish language from the beginning to the present and the linguistic characteristics of the regions. At present some of the Turkey Turkish dialects are not investigated adequately and some of them have not investigated yet thus this situation affects the preparation of the Turkey Turkish dialects’ atlas adversely. Dialect atlases, provide important information with the lexicology about the sound, shape and syntax features of the local language spoken in a region. For this reason, the material that the dialect atlases contain has a socio-cultural quality that concerns folklore apart from its linguistic aspect. The detailed determination of the linguistic features of the Anatolian dialects is very important in this context. The linguistic features of Azerbaijani Turkish, which constitutes the eastern branch of Western Turkish, are also observed in the eastern Anatolian region, which is relatively closer to Azerbaijan in the Anatolian field. The Urfa dialect which extends beyond the borders of the country in terms of language characteristics and shows similarities with Azerbaijan and Iraqi- Turkmen Turkish. Urfa, located in the Southeastern Anatolia region, is also a crossing point that connects the eastern group Anatolian dialects with Iraqi Turkmen dialects. Morphological and phonetic analysis of a dialect region is important for the analysis of speech and writing languages that affect that dialect region. In this study, the common elements identified in both language regions were compared by comparing the morphology and phonetic aspects of the center Urfa dialect which is under the influence of Azerbaijani Turkish

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
Effects of Wild-Type Starter Culture (Artisanal Strains) on Volatile Profile of Urfa Cheese Made from Ewe Milk
In the present study, the development of volatile flavor compounds in sheep's milk Urfa cheese made by using three different combinations of wild-type strains including Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis 1B4, Lactococcus garvieae IMAU 50157, Enterococcus faecium ATCC 19434, Enterococcus durans IMAU 60200, and Enterococcus faecalis KLDSO.034 was investigated over 180 days. Three batches of cheese were made using above strains as follows: Cheese A (strains ATCC 19434+1B4+IMAU 50157); Cheese B (strains IMAU 60200+ATCC 19434+1B4); Cheese C (strains KLDSO.034+ IMAU 60200+ ATCC 19434+1B4+ IMAU 50157). The fourth batch was produced from raw sheep's milk as control (Cheese D). The volatile compounds were identified using a gas chromatography/mass spectrometry system combined with solid-phase microextraction. In total, 70 volatile compounds were recovered from the cheeses including 10 alcohols (mainly ethanol, 2-methyl-1-propanol, 3-methyl-1-propanol), 20 aldehydes and ketones (mainly 2-pentanone, 2-heptanone), 11 esters (mainly ethyl acetate), 10 acids (mainly acetic acid, 2-hydroxy-4-methyl pentanoic acid), 6 terpenes (mainly alpha-pinene), and 13 miscellaneous compounds (mainly 3,7-dimethyl-1,6-octadiene). While total aldehydes concentration in the control cheese was higher than those made from combinations of wild-type strains (Cheeses A to C), the concentration of alcohols was lower in the former sample. Regarding other volatile compounds there was no clear differences between the cheeses. Results showed that strain combination A or C (Cheese A or C, respectively) could be employed in the manufacture of Urfa cheese made from pasteurized sheep's milk. However, to reach a fair judgement on the proper strain combination for Urfa cheese, aroma profile (i.e., active compounds) released by the strains should be laid open in detail.Harran University Scientific Research Projects Authority (HUBAK) [13004]This study was supported financially by Harran University Scientific Research Projects Authority (HUBAK Project No: 13004)
