Relationship between lifestyle and health status
The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between lifestyle and health status of a sample of people who attend the “Nutrigenesis” Medical Clinic and the Center of Influence located in Tarapoto, Peru. It is a confirmatory research with a contemporary, transectional, field design. The results demonstrate that thereis a significant relationship between lifestyle and health status. Likewise, there are significant differences in lifestyle and health status between group I and II participants from a “Center of Influence” and patients from the doctor\u27s office. Regarding lifestyle, 26% have deficient to critical levels; 39.8% at risk and 29.7% acceptable levels and only 4.5% maintain a healthy lifestyle. In contrast to health status, 11.8% of participants have deficient to critical levels of health status; 56.5% at risk and 43.5% at optimal levels of health
UNO Website-GenEd Committee-English and Writing
The work of the university is to construct and share knowledge. Because this work is done largely by means of the written word, it is important for students to gain control over written language Proficiency in reading, research, and written expression is essential for professional success and effective citizenship.
Fundamental academic skills, consisting of English & Writing, Public Speaking and Mathematics coursework, comprise 15 hours of your general education requirements. Students must complete nine credit hours of English & Writing coursework.
The nine credit hours include English 1150 and English 1160 (students may test out of one or both courses), and one additional advanced writing course or equivalent set of writing-intensive courses The advanced or writing-intensive courses are determined by the academic program.
The foundational writing courses (Composition I and Composition 11) provide instruction m general academic literacy while advanced writing and writing-intensive courses, preferably token in the student\u27s major, introduce research and language practices specific to the disciplines

Chromosomal mCherry-UNO-EGFP signals on autosomal and sex chromosome bivalent during early prometaphase I.
The spermatocyte displayed in Fig 3E, as observed by time lapse imaging of mCherry-UNO-EGFP during early prometaphase I is shown. A large yellow circle surrounds the signal on the sex chromosome bivalent, and two smaller yellow circles the signals on autosomal bivalents. Time points with mCherry-UNO-EGFP signals sufficiently separated in space were used for quantification, followed by averaging intensities over these time points. Images were acquired without saturation of mCherry-UNO-EGFP signals. However, to reveal the weak autosomal signals, signal intensities were enhanced for production of the movie, resulting in saturation of the sex chromosome signals. Time (h:min:sec) is indicated. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
State of the University Address
Good afternoon, and welcome to the 2014 UNO “State of the University.” My sincere thanks to all attending today; and please know it is an absolute privilege to stand before you as Chancellor of this great University, located in the heart of this remarkable community.
There are moments in the history of institutions that are monumental, and this is one of those very special times in the life of UNO.
Today, I will share an overview of the state of the campus; highlight the most successful fundraising effort in our 106 year history; and honor Jim and Shirley Young — genuine symbols of community leadership as well as dear friends
Convocation Address: A Time To Be Bold: Opportunities and Challenges in 2011
Good morning and welcome to the 2010 convocation. Thank you for attending and as always, it is a privilege to work with the students, faculty, and staff of this incredible institution. I trust you share my pride in being a Maverick.
Today, I want to spend our time together considering three general areas: Metropolitan Fit, Budget and Accomplishments. I hope at the end, that no matter what challenges we may face as a campus, you believe, as I do, that the future remains bright for UNO and for the students we serve
L'accessibilitat i transparencia als arxius catalans
