Madrasah dan Jenjang Karir di Negara Usmani pada Masa Klasik (1300-1600)
This article focuses on history of education in Muslim world in from fourteenth until seventeenth centiuries in Ottoman state. As the most important Muslim state in the world during classical period (1300-1600), Ottoman state became the role model of education system for Muslims. Influenced by Seljuk Anatolia state, Ottoman built education through medrese system controlled by state. The system supported the state to design career development for its subject. In addition to devşirme system, medrese system provided large opportunity for its subject to obtain career as teacher and professor (müderris), judge (kadı), and bureaucrat (kalemiye). Research method in this article are qualitative and bibliographical research. Author examines historical reseources to analyze research problem. The aim of research is to observe and analyze relationship between education system and career development in Ottoman state. According to this research, author concludes that medrese system in Ottoman state provided opportunity for its subject to participate in social mobility thorugh its career in government circle
Accumulation of Biopesticide-Based Rotenone from an Optimized [BMIM][OTf] Green Binary Solvent Mixture in Different Parts of Terong Plant (Solanum Melongena)
AbstractInfestation of pests on the field crops has resulted losses on its productivity yearly. Moreover, over usage of pesticides has also affected consumer's health as pesticides residues are detected inside the post-harvested crops. Therefore, the aim of this study is to determine the accumulation of rotenone Derris sp. in leaves, stem and fruit of terong plant (Solanum melongena) through the degradation rate (k) and half-life (t1/2) of sprayed rotenone extract. The sprayed rotenone was prepared by using an optimized binary solvent mixture of 95% (v/v) acetone and ionic liquid (1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium trifluoromethansulfonate [BMIM] [OTf] via normal soaking extraction method. The same extraction method was used on the plant parts by using only 95% (v/v) of acetone. Reverse-phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) was used in analysing rotenone and [BMIM][OTf] traces. The results indicate that the degradation rates of 20ppm were (1.35 ± 0.02 day-1 for leaves; 1.89 ± 0.07 day-1 for fruit) faster than 1000ppm of rotenone extract (0.24 ± 0.00 day-1 for leaves; 0.21 ± 0.01 day-1 for stem; 0.31 ± 0.01 day-1 for fruit) (p<0.05) within 6 days of observation. Rotenone was identified to possess the half-life (t1/2) in the range of 0.37 ± 0.01 day to 0.51 ± 0.01 day in the study of 20ppm rotenone extract. In contrast, the half-life (t1/2) for rotenone on 1000ppm extract was in the range of 2.23 ± 0.05 days to 3.38 ± 0.10 days which was longer than 20ppm extract (p<0.05). In conclusion, rotenone extract is still considered safe and has the potential to be used as a bio-pesticide due to its shorter half-life (t1/2) (less than 7 days at the highest concentration of 1000ppm) than other commercial pesticides
Effect of the Programmed Nutrition Beef Program on moisture retention of cooked ground beef patties and enhanced strip loins
This study evaluated the influence of the Programmed Nutrition Beef Program and exogenous growth promotants (ExGP) on water holding capacity characteristics of enhanced beef strip loins. Sixty, frozen strip loins, arranged in a 2 × 2 factorial treatment arrangement with dietary program serving as the first factor and use of ExGP as the second factor, were thawed, injected with an enhancement solution, and stored for 7 days. Loins from ExGP cattle possessed the ability to bind more (P 0.10) before injection, but increased post-injection and after storage (P 0.10). Tesbîtü'l-mefhûm fî tahk?ki't-tebeiyye beyne'l-ilm ve'l-ma'lûm Osmanlı'nın son devir ulemâsından müftü Kemâleddin Harpûtî Efendi'nin Allah'ın ilminin mâlûma tâbi olduğu düşüncesini çeşitli delillerle ispatlamaya çalıştığı bir kelâm risâlesidir. Kemâleddin Efendi eserini Kur'an'a, hadislere, İmam Mâtürîdî ve İmam Eş'arî'nin düşünceleri başta olmak üzere medreselerde okutulan kelâm kitaplarına, İbnü'lArabî, Abdurrahman-ı Câmî, İsmâil Hakkı Bursevî gibi sûfîlere ve çağdaşı mü- derris Abdüllatif Harpûtî'nin Tenk?hu'l-kelâm'ına dayanarak yazmıştır. Şimdilik bilinen yegâne yazma nüshası günümüz harflerine aktarılarak bu makale vası- tasıyla kelâm ve tasavvuf sahası araştırmacılarının dikkatine sunulmuştur. Eser ilim-mâlûm irtibatının müstakil olarak ele alındığı bir risâle olması yanında XX. asır Harput'undaki medrese kültürünün ilmî derinliğini yansıtan son numunelerden sayılması bakımından da önemlidir.A Kalam Treatise by Kemaleddin Harputi: Tathbit al-mafhum fi tahqiq al-ta ba'iy yah bayna al-'ilm wa al-ma'lum Tathbit al-mafhum fi tahqiq al-taba'iyyah bayna al-'ilm wa al-ma'lum is a kalam treatise written by Kemaleddin Harputi Efendi, a 19th century Ottoman scholar. In this treatise Harputi argues that God's knowledge is conditioned by what is known. The author penns his treatise on the basis of the Qur'an, Hadith, and vari- ous madrasah textbooks, and particularly on the thought of Maturidi and Ash'ari. Kemaleddin Harputi also benefits from the thoughts of various Sufi masters such as Ibn Arabi, Abdurrahman Jami, İsmail Hakkı Bursevi as well as Abdullatif Harputi. The treatise is important as it represents the scholarly profundity of the 20th century madrasah culture in Harput. This paper offers the transcription of the only known manuscript into Turkish, and presents this important work to the attention of scholars of kalam and tasawwu
"Applyıng poetry to the scıences" or Sunbulzade's phılosophy understandıng and vıew to scıences
Sunbulzade is an Ottoman poet-thinker. He is from Maras and lives in 18thcentury. He was müderris, Qadı and delegate. He is known by his poetic dictionaries and continuing the tradition of Nabi. His concern about the philosophy and his Works on the philosophy are not known in the world of thought. This research focuses on this aspect of the thinker. In other words, his wisdom understanding (hikmah) and the view of science (ilim) will be discussed. Because the author claims that he studied philosophy, took pleasure in studying it and followed the philosophical discipline (öğreti). Moreover he is from an 'ulama' and of 'suara' family. In the libraries, we can find a work of him about kalam and logic. Furthermore, he has a book on ethics discipline called "Lutfıyye". The poet-thinker presents his views on hikmah and the science by this work. His work can be evaluated in two parts. First one is his understanding and classification of sciences/philosophy and the second one is his thought of ethics. This study dealing with the first part consists of three sections. They are Sumbulzade's identity and his philosophical concern, his work about the science and his understanding of hikmah and view of sciences. In other words, his place on our philosophical tradition is specified under these sections.Sünbülzade , bir Osmanlı şair düşünürüdür. Maraşlıdır ve 18. yüzyılda yaşamıştır. Müderrislik, kadılık, elçilik görevleri yapmış, yazdığı şiirsel sözlükleri yanında Nabi geleneğini sürdürmesi ile tanınmaktadır. Şairimizin felsefeye olan ilgisi, felsefeyle meşguliyeti düşünce dünyamızda bilinmemektedir. İşte bu çalışma düşünürün bu yönüne odaklanmaktadır. Başka bir ifadeyle bu yazıda düşünürümüzün hikmet anlayışı ve ilimlere bakışı ele alınacaktır. Çünkü yazar bizatihi felsefe okuduğunu, keyif aldığını, bir süre felsefî öğreti peşinde gittiğini söylemektedir. İkinci olarak o bir 'ulema' ve 'şuara' ailesinden gelmektedir. Kütüphanelerde, onun adını taşıyan kelam ve mantıkla ilgili bir eser bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca o, felsefenin ahlak disiplini alanında, ancak pendname geleneğinde Lütfiyye adıyla bir esere sahip bulunmaktadır. Şair-düşünürümüz, hikmete ve ilimlere bakışını bu çalışmasında ortaya koymaktadır. Onun bu eseri, bu açıdan iki kısımda değerlendirilebilir. Birincisi ilim/felsefe anlayışı ve sınıflaması, ikincisi ahlak düşüncesi. Birincisini ele alan yazımız üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Sünbülzade'nin kimliği, felsefe ilgisi ve bilimlerle ilgili eseri, üçüncü olarak hikmet anlayışı ve ilimlere bakışı. Diğer bir ifadeyle şairimizin felsefe geleneğimiz içerisindeki yeri belirtilen başlıklar altında belirlenmeye çalışılmaktadır

Microencapsulation of pepper oleoresin was conducted by using spray dryer in which gelatin, Tween 80, sodium alginat and dextrin were the wall material and pepper oleoresin and lecithin were the core material.The influence of solids concentration and drying condition on the product of microencapsulation and the retention of piperine and volatile oil.Drying temperature,however,may decrease the content of piperine and volatile oil in the product microencapsulated
