As a result, we see that if Ankara and Istanbul play a key role, the phenomenon is a much larger one, and that especially from the 1990s, a number of administrative regions were implicated. Moreover, the author finds that the political background is the factor which best explains regional differences

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

No full textLe dualisme de l'être et du devenir forme la base de l'expérience esthétique d'Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar. L'auteur se sert de l'incompatibilité entre ces deux états pour décrire la tragédie de l'homme, pris entre la permanence des choses et le caractère éphémère de la vie, et fait de cette dualité, qui prend des formes multiples et contrastées, le principe de base du processus créatif, l'utilisant sous différentes variations : non seulement dans la représentation de paysages ou la conception de ses récits et la création de ses personnages, mais aussi dans ses interprétations de l'histoire littéraire et de l'héritage artistique. Certes, Tanpınar est un écrivain qui a toujours dit tout et son contraire, mais jamais n'importe quoi : le tout et son contraire s'entrecroisent dans l’éternité et s'opposent dans le devenir, se rejoignent dans le rêve et s'excluent dans l’éveil, s'identifient dans la mort et se désintègrent dans la vie pour engendrer une œuvre qui se veut à la fois fabuleuse et tragique. Cette étude utilise une méthode d'analyse généalogique pour mettre en évidence le dialogue intrinsèque entre les différentes formes de la même dualité qui traversent ses écrits, et pour contextualiser la formation de sa double esthétique dans les différentes étapes de son histoire personnelle, en se concentrant en particulier sur ses années d'apprentissage, lorsqu'un certain sentiment de la survivance prévalait. Afin de proposer un langage critique qui prête l'oreille au « dit » du discours littéraire et permettre à la double caractéristique de l'œuvre de s'exprimer, elle privilégie une approche intégrale prenant en compte l'ensemble des pratiques d'écriture de l'auteur.The dualism of being and becoming forms the basis of Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar's aesthetic experience. This author who uses the incompatibility between these two states to describe the tragedy of humankind, caught between the permanence of things and the transience of life, and makes this duality, which takes on many contrasting forms, the basic principle of the creative process, using it in different variations: not only in the depiction of landscapes, the conception of his narratives and the creation of his characters, but also in his interpretations of literary history and artistic heritage. Tanpınar might be a writer who always said all and its opposite, but never nonsense: all and its opposite intersect in eternity and oppose each other in becoming, they meet in dreams and exclude each other in awakening, identify in death and dissolve in life to engender a creation which is both fabulous and tragic. This study uses a method of genealogical analysis to highlight the intrinsic dialogue between the different forms of the same duality running through his writings, and to contextualize the formation of his double aesthetics in the various stages of his personal history, focusing on his apprenticeship years, when a certain sense of survival prevailed. In order to provide a critical language that pays attention to the « said » of literary discourse and allows the dual character of the work to express itself, it favors an integral approach taking into account all the writing practices of the author
