A disease with the first name "Tinea" is aninfection caused by the presence of dermatophyte fungi that can occur invarious locations of the body. Tinea corporis is a superficial fungalskin infection of the body caused by dermatophytes, specifically on thetrunk, neck, arms and legs. Other forms of tinea infection based on itslocation are on the scalp (tinea capitis), face (tinea faciei), hands(tinea manuum), groin (tinea cruris), and feet (tinea pedis). Ingeneral, there are 3 genera that can cause this condition ofdermatophytosis (tinea), namely the genera Trichophyton, Epidermophyton, and Microsporum. Currently, there are various topical anti-fungal agentsfor treating dermatophytosis (tinea). The two main classes thatrepresent the majority of available topical antifungal agents are azolesand allylamines. Overall, the allylamines (naftifine) are superior tothe azoles in activity against dermatophytes, although both areclinically effective. Therefore, in this literature review, we conductedan analysis of the effects of using naftifine in treating various typesof tinea. Study searches were conducted on various databases such asPubmed, ScienceDirect, Directory of Open Access Journals, and theCochrane Library. From the search results obtained a total of 212studies. The studies that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria werethe 3 studies analyzed in this literature review. Administration ofNaftifine showed a higher mycological cure rate, therapeuticeffectiveness, clinical symptoms, and cure rate than the control group. No adverse events were reported with any type of naftifine in allinclusion studies. Administration of naftifine is a therapy with sideeffects in treating various types of tinea(dermatophytosis).Penyakit dengan nama depan “Tinea” adalah infeksi yang disebabkan oleh adanya jamur dermatofita yang dapat terjadi pada berbagai lokasi tubuh. Melanoma is a tumor that is produced by the malignant transformation of melanocyte cells. Melanoma is the leading cause of premature death from cancer. Known risk factors include personal or family history of melanoma, large numbers of naevi and/or dysplastic naevi, congenital melanocytic naevi, sun-damaged skin, history of non-melanoma skin cancer, and immunodeficiency. Based on the Basic Health Research Results (Riskesdas) report, skin cancer as a whole ranks 3rd in Indonesia. Epidemiological studies of skin cancer have reported in Jakarta in 2014–2017, where out of 263 cases of skin cancer, malignant melanoma ranks third with the highest incidence of skin cancer (5.7%). Diagnosis of melanoma can be made by assessing the skin lesions with the naked eye and also by the patient's clinical symptoms. A person's risk of metastases is directly related to the depth of invasion and ulceration of their primary lesion. Among solid tumors, melanoma has one of the highest propensities to cause brain metastases with a proportion of more than 25% of patients. Although the current cancer treatment paradigm may reflect a combination of surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and immunotherapy with medical management, options for the treatment of metastatic brain cancer remain limited

The Relationship Between Protein Whey Milk Consumption and The Occurrence of Acne Vulgaris in Adolescents Aged 18-21 Years

Acne vulgaris is an inflammation that occurs in the pilosebaceous gland with a prevalence of 18-21 years affected adolescents. This study aimed to determine the relationship between consumption of whey protein and the incidence of acne vulgaris. The research design was a literature review by searching medical scientific articles. Over 7,408 articles were found when searching for "protein" and "acne vulgaris." The articles were sorted by relevant publication in the last five years. There were 2,179 pertinent articles, which were then excluded from book studies that read 581 articles. Then, articles were screened only for whey protein research in the form of milk, so the remaining 129 studies were continued by selecting only subjects—adolescents aged 18-21 years so that the remaining 20 relevant articles are summarized in this study. The literature review results show a significant relationship between protein consumption and the incidence of acne vulgaris. The increase in sebum production caused by high protein consumption is the main reason for this correlation. Research findings suggest that people who consume high amounts of whey protein are more likely to develop acne vulgaris. In conclusion, this study lost the importance of nutrition in the incidence of acne vulgaris, with whey protein consumption being a significant contributing factor. The findings of this study may benefit individuals who wish to prevent or treat acne vulgaris by making dietary changes. Further research is needed to determine the optimal amount of protein intake to minimize acne vulgaris

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
