« Bez carja zemlja vdova » : Syncrétisme dans le Vremennik d'Ivan Timofeev

The Vremennik of Ivan Timofeev stands out against the sources of the Time of Troubles because of its efforts at conceptualizing. One term occurs throughout the narrative: "the earth". It refers both to Russia and to the other meaning it has in Russian culture : "Mother - damp earth" associated with, indeed identified to, the "native" mother and the Mother of God. The dynastic rupture, the civil war and the foreign intervention that followed have the same cause: before dying the last Riurikovich had not left in the womb of earth the embryo that was entitled to reign. The tsar is therefore the husband and the son of the same wife-mother. The non-fulfilment of the incest appears as a break of the natural order. To stress his idea, Timofeev resorts to a "parable": a rhetorical device destined to express the "truth". With the accession of Mikhail Romanov, accompanied by his mother, the widowhood of the earth is ended. The new tsar is then legitimate. Timofeev's work shows that the dvoeverie - intermingled paganism and Christianity - extended to the society as a whole, cannot be ignored by the historian of Russian politics.Tamara Kondratieva et Claudio-Sergio Ingerflom, « Bez carja zemlja vdova ». Parmi les sources du Temps ties Troubles, le Vremennik d'Ivan Timofeev se distingue par son effort de conceptualisation. Un terme est présent tout au long du récit : la « terre ». Il y renvoie à la fois à la Russie et aux autres signifiés qu'il possède dans la culture russe - la « Mère-terre humide », associée, voire identifiée, à la mère « natale » et à la Mère de Dieu. La rupture dynastique, la guerre civile et l'intervention étrangère qui s'ensuivent ont une même cause : avant de mourir, le dernier Rurikide n'a pas laissé clans le ventre de la terre l'embryon appelé à régner. Le tsar est donc l'époux et le fils de la même femme-mère. Le non-accomplissement de l'inceste apparaît comme la rupture de l'ordre naturel. Pour appuyer son propos, Timofeev s'exprime par « parabole », la figure rhétorique chargée de dire la « vérité ». Avec l'avènement de Michel Romanov accompagné de sa mère, la viduité de la terre prend fin. Le noveau tsar est dès lors légitime. Ivan Turgenev 's correspondence was instrumental in defining the writer's position as an artist in 19th-century Russian society. This position lies somewhere in-between the private and public spheres, as epistolarity is both the place to communicate with people from one's close circle and the space where Turgenev tries to adress the reading public, which the author sees as a possible ally against an increasingly hostile press. ADVENTUROUS-HISTORICAL YOUTH PROSE OF IVAN SIVEC
Diplomsko delo z naslovom Avanturistično-zgodovinska mladinska proza Ivana Sivca je nastalo na osnovi natančne analize izbranih štirinajstih književnih del pisatelja Ivana Sivca, ki ustrezajo izbranemu tematskemu sklopu obravnave, in sicer Gusarji na obzorju (1991), Skrivnost zlate reke (1996), Krokarji viteza Erazma (1997), Čarobna violina (1998), Usodni pečat (2000), Pozabljeni zaklad (2001), Kriva prisega (2002), Kapitanov ključ (2004), Prekletstvo zlata (2006), Cela Idrija nori (2007), Zakleta bajta (2009), Potopljeni vlak (2010), Dolenjska naveza (2012) in Izgubljeni Prešeren (2013). Predstavljeni so vsebina književnih del, glavni književni liki, književni čas in prostor, teme, motivi, pripovedovalec in jezik. Namen diplomskega dela je opredeliti osnovne značilnosti mladinskega romana, avanturističnega mladinskega romana in zgodovinskega mladinskega romana ter ugotoviti, zakaj omenjena književna dela sodijo med avanturistično-zgodovinsko mladinsko prozo. Glavna tema v vseh delih je pustolovščina književnih likov, največkrat je to odkrivanje zaklada. Mladostnik se (nenamerno) znajde v avanturi, ki pa zaradi njegove poštenosti in drugih pozitivnih lastnosti vedno vodi do srečnega konca. Avtor je v vsako od obravnavanih del vpletel neko zgodovinsko snov in jo prenesel v sedanji čas. Diplomsko delo je teoretično, zato so uporabljene teoretične raziskovalne metode. V uvodnem delu diplomskega dela je uporabljena deskriptivna metoda ob proučevanju že znanih dejstev o avtorju Ivanu Sivcu in teorijah mladinskega romana ter avanturističnega in zgodovinskega mladinskega romana, komparativna metoda pri primerjanju in odkrivanju podobnosti in razlik posameznih del ter metoda klasifikacije pri opredelitvi pojmov mladinskega romana in njegovih žanrov. Pri analizi izbranih del sta uporabljeni metoda analize in generalizacije. Zgodovinska metoda je uporabljena pri ugotavljanju resničnosti zgodovinskih podatkov, opisanih v delih. V sklepnem delu, kjer je podan končni sklep in zbrane ugotovitve, je uporabljena metoda sinteze.Diploma thesis with the title Adventurous-historical Youth Prose of Ivan Sivec was made on the basis of accurate analysis of the chosen fourteen Ivan Sivec’s literary works that are suitable for the selected topic of discussion, namely Gusarji na obzorju (1991), Skrivnost zlate reke (1996), Krokarji viteza Erazma (1997), Čarobna violina (1998), Usodni pečat (2000), Pozabljeni zaklad (2001), Kriva prisega (2002), Kapitanov ključ (2004), Prekletstvo zlata (2006), Cela Idrija nori (2007), Zakleta bajta (2009), Potopljeni vlak (2010), Dolenjska naveza (2012) and Izgubljeni Prešeren (2013). The content, main characters, literary time and space, motives, narrator and the language of the chosen literary works are presented. The purpose of the thesis is to define basic characteristics of youth novel and to find out why the mentioned literary works belong to adventurous-historical youth prose. The main topic in all the works is adventure of the literary characters, which is mainly discovery of a treasure. Youngster is (unintentionally) thrown in an adventure which, due to his honesty and other positive characteristics, always leads to a happy ending. The author incorporated some kind of a historical topic in each of the mentioned works and connected it to the present time. Diploma thesis is theoretical, so research methods are used accordingly. In the introduction the descriptive method is used with the study of already known facts on the author Ivan Sivec and theories of youth, adventurous and historical novel, while comparative method is used by comparison and differentiation of certain works and the method of classification is used by the definition of youth novel and its genres. By the analysis of the chosen works the methods of analysis and generalization are used. Historical method is used with finding out the correctness of the historical data described in these works. In the conclusion, where the theoretical background is linked to actual texts, the method of synthesis is used
State Dilemmas in Contemporary World Order
The problems of the world order is often seen through the interaction of the leading centers of power. Nevertheless there is another approach, locating actorhood in the state, which forms the world order. State acts in international affairs, it has the right of legitimate violence, it also has the ability to concentrate the economic and human resources. Obviously, the nature of the state as part of the international system has an effect on the system itself, defining its key parameters. From that point of view, some questions arise: what happens to the state? What is the effect of its transformation on the contemporary world order? Why the state is changing? What hierarchy of states exists in the contemporary world order? The author proceed from the following theses. First, the nation state is no longer a universal formula of nation building. However, there is no balance between two key foundations of a legitimate order - fairness and efficiency. Second, the current world order is a mosaic of fundamentally different states. Each state is trying to find a formula for the combination of a fairness and efficiency. These formulas do not always coincide with each other, and it underlays the stability in international relations. Third, a small group of major powers still play the key role in the world order. The issue of sovereignty of many countries remains open. World order, as well as a state, is characterized by imbalance between equity and efficiency. The awaited harmony of these two principles may be spoofed again the triumph of efficiency oover justice -maintenance of order through the balance of power and a rigid hierarchy
Image of Ivan Terrible in European Propaganda during Livonian War (Poetic Works of S. Wolf and J. Kokhanovsky)
The image of Ivan the Terrible in the propagandic European poetry of the Livonian War is considered. On the example of two poetic works “An elegiac poem about the campaign of His Majesty Stephen the First, the King of Poland and the Grand Duke of Lithuania against Ivan Vasilyevich, the Grand Duke of Moscow” by the German author Samuil Wolf (1582) and “The Song of the Capture of Polotsk” by the Polish poet Jan Kokhanovsky (1580) the conclusion is made about the great interest of the European reader in the personality of the Moscow tsar. The analysis of these texts shows the grotesque image of Ivan the Terrible, formed under the influence of the “political order” coming from the Polish King Stefan Batory. It is also concluded that European propaganda played a negative role, contributed to the loss of the Muscovite state in the Livonian War. The indifference of the tsar himself to what was published about him in the West is also noted, this was the reason that Ivan the Terrible did not want to carry out reciprocal propaganda campaigns and limited himself in this regard to exculpatory and accusatory letters to S. Batory, A. M. Kurbsky and some European monarchs. “The Song of the Capture of Polotsk” was first translated into Russian by the author of the article and is published here in full

В статье исследуется трансформация (ее сущность, содержание, направления и способы) персонажей повести Н. В. Гоголя "Иван Федорович Шпонька и его тетушка" в одноименной пьесе Н. Коляды. Автор приходит к выводу, что все значимые персонажи пьесы в разной степени связаны с претекстом, но вместе с тем являются самостоятельными художественными характерами, выполняющими определенные авторские задачи.The article analyzes the transformation (its essence, content, directions and modes) of the characters of N.
