The Innovation Structuring of street vendors In Maros regency (supervised by Deddy T. Tikson and Hasniati). This study aims to analyze the results of innovation structuring of street vendors in Maros Regency based on the criteria of the United Nations (UN). This research was conducted in Culinary Area of No Wave Beach of Maros Regency. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a focus on innovation results from the arrangement of street vendors in Maros regency. There is also a research design used is case study (case study). The result of the research shows that the innovation of street vendors in Maros Regency based on criterion of United Nations (UN) is less successful. This was because of the 6 indicators, 1 indicator that partnership is not met because there was no professional cooperation either government, private or banking. 4 less effective indicators that sustainability was not working well because there was no special regulation governing culinary areas, innovation indicators in local and transferable contexts did not provide specific publications related to secondary data as well as special information related to street vendors in the area of culinary beaches and non- other areas were still difficult to adopt the concept in applied. Indicators of gender equality and social exclusion because they had not demonstrated traditional special food and local wisdom in the arrangement of street hawkers, although gender and local wisdom were not contradictory and indicators of leadership and community empowerment due to governor commitment were not accompanied by clear policies and lack of merchant empowerment concepts a clear five foot post relocation. The indicators that become the strength of this innovation was the impact. Impact indicators provide benefits for both street vendors, government and the environment.

Assessing the Cocoa Farmer Empowerment Program through the Lens of Stufflebeam's Evaluation Framework: A Farmer-Centric Approach

This study evaluates the effectiveness of PT. Berau Coal's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program for empowering cocoa farmers in Berau Regency, Indonesia, using Stufflebeam's Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) evaluation model. Through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and observations involving 28 key informants, including representatives from PT. Berau Coal, local government, NGOs, and cocoa farmers, the study assesses the program's alignment with farmers' needs, the provision of resources and training, implementation challenges, and outcomes. The findings reveal that the program addresses farmers' aspirations for economic improvement and capacity building, with PT. Berau Coal providing essential facilities, knowledge-sharing opportunities, and a supportive environment. However, challenges persist, including the need for enhanced collaboration with the government, expanded socialization efforts, and a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation system. Despite these challenges, the program has yielded positive results, such as increased cocoa production and sales, and the emergence of skilled farmer champions. The study recommends strengthening partnerships within the cocoa value chain and continuously adapting the program to ensure its long-term sustainability and scalability in driving the empowerment of cocoa farmers in Berau Regency

Social Impact Assessment in The Development of A Nickel Smelter in Morowali District

This research aims to evaluate the impact of nickel smelter development on the social welfare of the Morowali community. Its urgency lies in the need to understand the social consequences of rapid industrialization, so that mitigation policies and community participation can be formulated more inclusively and sustainably. This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design and Social Impact Assessment (SIA) to explore the social impacts of nickel smelter development in Morowali. Data were obtained thru interviews, documentation, and observation, and analyzed using Nvivo 12 Plus to identify key themes and develop mitigation recommendations based on the findings. This study shows that while industrialization drives rapid economic growth, it also leads to social impacts, including limited access to basic facilities such as clean water, sanitation, housing, education, and healthcare. Other impacts are seen in public health due to air pollution, increasing social tensions between local workers and foreign labor, and low public participation and protection of vulnerable groups' rights. Overall, the smelter development has not fully considered the principles of sustainable development, as the main focus is still on economic growth without ensuring social welfare, justice, and the protection of community rights. Future policy recommendations include strengthening collaboration between local governments, companies, and communities to improve access to basic facilities, healthcare services, education, and the protection of citizens' rights. Additionally, the sustainable and transparent implementation of the Social Impact Assessment mechanism needs to be carried out so that industrial growth aligns with social welfare and sustainable development

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods

    koamabayili/VECTRON-author-checklist: VECTRON author checklist

We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
