Warum folgt Jesajas Berufungsvision erst in Jes 6?
The opening of the Book of Isaiah presents numerous questions. What is the meaning of superscriptions such as Isa 1.1? Why does Isaiah not address his first speech to Israel but to heavens and earth? Is it really a prophetic "lawsuit" (rîb-pattern) as has often been assumed? Why is Isaiah's call narrative told as late as in chapter 6? Why does Isa 1 introduce so different topics as YHWH's care for his children, Israel's unfaithfulness, the devastation of their country, the rejection of any kind of cult, the criticism of social injustice? By means of precise analyses of structure, poetics, semantics as well as redaction criticism the author creates approaches to solutions by developing a typology of prophetic superscriptions, proving the genre of a prophetic lawsuit (rîb-pattern) as non-existent and interpreting Israel's wrongdoings as practical denial of YHWH's universal reign which leads to their loss of the divine protection against enemies and makes any form of cult inacceptable. As evidenced by a number of intertextual cross-references, this situation is the background of Isaiah's call and mission (Isa 6), which thus presents certain parallels to the sendig of Moses to the Egyptian Pharao. Israel's fall is contrasted with Zion's restoration as residence of justice (Isa 1.8, 24-27; 2.1-5)
Workplace Incivility dan Kinerja Dosen di Kota Pontianak: Peran Mediasi Sinisme dan Keterikatan Kerja
Incivility in the workplace is not a new phenomenon, particularly in higher education settings, where complex transformations occur due to generational differences in the workforce. This study aims to measure the impact of workplace incivility on work engagement and cynicism, as well as its effects on the job performance of university lecturers in Pontianak. This research adopts an explanatory design to elucidate the causal relationships between variables using quantitative methods. Primary data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to respondents selected through purposive sampling. The study involved 122 lecturers representing various age groups from Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials (Generation Y), to Generation Z, to elucidate the responses of each generation to the phenomenon of workplace incivility. The collected data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that work engagement partially mediates the relationship between workplace incivility and job performance, with a significance value of 0.005. Meanwhile, cynicism fully mediates the relationship between workplace incivility and job performance, with a significance value of 0.748
Kontribusi Green Human Resource Management Terhadap Pembentukan Perilaku Hijau di Kalangan Karyawan
This study is motivated by environmental changes that drive organizations to demonstrate greater concern for their surroundings, which has become a global challenge, particularly in Southeast Asia. Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) is regarded as a strategic approach to promoting sustainability through human resource practices that encourage environmental awareness. The objective of this research is to examine the relationship between GHRM, environmental knowledge, and employee green behavior. A quantitative research method was employed, with respondents comprising employees from both private and public sectors in West Kalimantan. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The findings indicate that discriminant validity was achieved (HTMT < 0.9), with R² values of 0.470 for employee green behavior and 0.353 for environmental knowledge, both categorized as weak. All hypotheses were supported (p-value < 0.05), and environmental knowledge was found to partially mediate the relationship between GHRM and employee green behavior (p-value = 0.000). These results suggest that implementing GHRM within organizations can enhance employees’ environmentally friendly behavior, even when their environmental knowledge is limited, providing strategic implications for fostering a strong sustainability-oriented organizational culture
Partisipasi Pemberdayaan dan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK) Desa Melalui Media Edukasi Digital untuk Mencegah Perkawinan Anak
Child marriage continues to be a significant issue in various Indonesian villages, including Lingkonong Village in Landak Regency. This issue has threatened children's education and health while obstructing the realization of their rights as the future generation of the nation. The Village Family Empowerment and Welfare Movement Team (TP-PKK) serves as an innovator by employing a community empowerment approach to address this issue. This community service initiative aims to enhance public legal awareness regarding the dangers of child marriage, while simultaneously equipping TP-PKK members with skills in utilizing digital media as a tool for prevention campaigns, particularly within the framework of the CEPAK (Child Marriage Prevention) Movement program. The Participatory Action Research (PAR) method is utilized, engaging TP-PKK members and residents in the design, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs. The primary activities encompass legal counseling, training in the utilization of digital platforms, the development of context-specific educational materials, and the dissemination of information via online media. The capacity of TP-PKK Lingkonong Village to manage digital campaigns promoting the CEPAK Movement has significantly increased. Their role as agents of change was effectively reinforced through the initiation of the campaign entitled "Lingkonong Village Towards a Generation Free of Child Marriage." This collaboration enables the community to comprehend the adverse effects of early marriage while also engaging in preventive initiatives. Digital media serves as an effective strategy for enhancing outreach, promoting collective awareness, and establishing a community environment that is more attuned to the safeguarding of children's right
Double standards in the Book of Isaiah : re-evaluating prophetic ethics and divine justice.
This thesis investigates the ethical system of the book of Isaiah, treating the book as a single literary work from a broadly reader-oriented critical perspective. It begins with a study of ethics and literature which examines how the Old Testament prophetic books communicate their moral teaching, with particular reference to the performative force of their rhetoric. The second section of the thesis presents a descriptive analysis of the ethical ideologies in the book of Isaiah. It is concluded that the root of sin for Isaiah is the failure to acknowledge God. The thesis then proceeds to consider the conduct of the deity with regard to the ethical demands he makes of Israel, and finds that, while he is not evil or immoral, he fails to attain the standard he establishes for his people. There is a distinct double standard in operation. The inevitable result of such failure is the undermining of either the ethical system, the status of Yahweh, or both. The final chapters seeksome explanation for Yahweh's conduct. Evidence to suggest the book is conscious of the difficult moral position of the deity is presented and analysed, and it is concluded that the double standard demonstrably in operation is a deliberate rhetorical device and even a necessary result of Isaiah's religious beliefs. Isaiah's monotheism demands that God cannot be bound or restricted in any way, and righteousness for Yahweh is defined simply by what he does. Isaiah's God could never adhere to Isaianic ethics, because his actions continually redefine them. This has the unfortunate but necessary side-effect of destabilising Isaiah's ethical system. The thesis concludes with a short autobiographic-critical study of the place of the Bible in the Christian faith and the problems it poses
Merging and diverging : the Chronicler's integration of material from Kings, Isaiah, and Jeremiah in the narratives of Hezekiah and the Fall of Judah
The phenomenon of inner-biblical interpretation and inter-textual replication of scriptural material within the Old Testament is receiving significant attention in current scholarship. Two narratives which are repeated three times in the Hebrew Bible provide a particularly fruitful case study for this type of research: the Hezekiah narrative (2 Kgs 18-20; Isa 36-39; 2 Chr 29-32) and the account of the fall of Judah (2 Kgs 24-25; Jer 52; 2 Chr 36). This study extends the contributions of redaction-critical, literary-critical, and text-critical studies examining the narratives of 2 Kings 18-20//Isaiah 36-39 and 2 Kings 24:18-25:30//Jeremiah 52 and emphasizes their subsequent reception in Chronicles. In addition, this investigation advances the discussion of the Chronicler's reliance upon and method of incorporating material from the Latter Prophets. It is the conclusion of this thesis that the Chronicler was familiar with the versions of the Hezekiah narrative and the account of the fall of Judah in both 2 Kings and the Latter Prophets. His method of handling these alternative accounts reflects both direct quotation (particularly in the case of 2 Kings) and indirect allusion to themes and idioms (with regard to the Latter Prophets). The result is a re-telling of Judah's history which is infused with hope for restoration as articulated by the Latter Prophets. By portraying an idealized account of Israel's past history which corresponds to prophetic descriptions of the nation's restoration, Chronicles illustrates the accessible, utopic potential held out to every generation of faithful Israel
