The challenge of authentic leadership in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous business environment
No full textThis chapter investigates the relevance and necessity of leadership and authentic leadership roles in organisational change in the modern VUCA world. He argues that authentic leaders need to learn to adapt to the increasingly VUCA environment, asking: Can they? Do they? If so, how? Authentic leaders need to evaluate not just the metrics behind success or failure but also their leadership traits and behaviour during organisational change to determine whether adjustments may be warranted. Taran provides an inspiration list of categories for leadership and authentic leadership self-refection. He calls for in-depth case studies of authentic leadership in response to VUCA circumstances that could be largely descriptive producing a body of data against which new theories can be tested and refined

No full textThe purpose of this paper is to measure and analyse how intensively CIS countries apply non-tariff barriers (NTBs) to restrict foreign trade in regard to certain products and total trade. Five CIS countries were selected for this analysis: Ukraine, the Russian Federation, Moldova, Belarus, and the Kyrgyz Republic. We first considered measurement methods usually applied to NTBs, reviewed other studies measuring NTBs in CIS countries, and then described our own findings on the matter. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
No full textThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Double parallel barrier height behavior of Au/Poly (linoleic acid)-g-poly (methyl methacrylate) (PLiMMA)/n-Si structure
No full textTaran, Songul/0000-0001-8115-2169WOS: 000496833600015The main electrical parameters and current conduction mechanisms of Au/Poly (linoleic acid)-g-poly (methyl methacrylate)/n-Si diode were carried out in the range of 300 K-400 K with a temperature increment of 10 K. Two distinct linear regions were observed in semi-logarithmic current-voltage (I-V) plots for each investigated temperature. For each linear region, leakage currents, barrier heights and ideality factors which are main electrical parameters of the diode were extracted from the experimental I-V measurements. Also, interface state density was derived by Card and Rhoderick's function. To obtain effective current conduction mechanisms, lnI versus lnV plots were obtained by taking into account of double linear region of current-voltage plots and abnormal increasing of barrier height and ideality factor at above the room temperature
Variations on the Author
No full text“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Factors influencing the motivation of young parkour athletes
No full textTématem diplomové práce jsou externí faktory ovlivňující motivaci mladých sportovců věnujících se parkouru. V rámci výzkumu bylo nutné nejdříve zasadit téma práce do teoretického rámce. Cílem práce je vypracování kvalitativní analýzy jednotlivých faktorů, které děti ovlivňují a zodpovědět na zvolené výzkumné otázky. Sběr kvalitativních dat probíhal formou focus group. Respondenty byli chlapci ve věku 8 až 14 let, kteří se věnují parkouru a dochází na pravidelný kroužek do Jump Academy. Metodou analýzy dat bylo otevřené kódování. V praktické části jsou externí faktory rozděleny na lidské, nová média, neživotné a ostatní a analyzovány. V diskusi akademicky diskutuji zjištěné výsledky s teoretickým ukotvením v literatuře a rozšiřuji zjištěná poznání. Nakonec v závěrečné práci zodpovídám zastřešující výzkumnou otázku a upřesňující podotázky. Přidávám konkrétní doporučení pro sportovní kluby, které se týkají zavedení soutěží jako běžné součásti výuky, vybavenosti prostor, používání sociální sítě TikTok, YouTube a Instagram a zapojení trenérů a rodičů do procesu komunikace.The topic of this thesis is external factors influencing the motivation of young athletes involved in parkour. In the framework of the research it was necessary to first plant the topic of the thesis into a theoretical framework. The aim of the thesis is to develop a qualitative analysis of the different factors that influence children and to answer the chosen research questions. Retrieved from qualitative data collection was conducted in the form of a focus group. The respondents were boys aged 8 to 14 years of age who are involved in parkour and attend a regular club at Jump Academy. The method of data analysis was open coding. In the practical part, the external factors are divided into human, new media, non-human and other and analysed. In the discussion, I academically discuss the findings with theoretical anchoring in the literature and extend the the findings. Finally, in the thesis, I answer the overarching research question and clarifying sub-questions. I add specific recommendations for sports clubs regarding the introduction of competitions as a regular part of the curriculum, the provision of facilities, the use of TikTok, YouTube and Instagram social media, and the involvement of coaches and parents in the communication process
History and current trends of retail market in Russia on the example of a particular company
No full textThe aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the concept of the Russian retail market and to find out the specifics and differences of Russian retailing in comparison with the world "average". The second goal is to present these specifics on the example of the existing retail chain Pyaterochka, which is part of the X5 Retail Group, and to analyse changes in the strategy of this company. The first part of the thesis at the theoretical level examines the concept of retail and analyses the history, current trends and specifics of the retail market in Russia. The second part is focused on the analysis of the position of Pyaterochka on the Russian market.Cílem této diplomové práce je zhodnotit koncept ruského maloobchodního trhu a zjistit specifika a odlišnosti ruského retailingu v porovnání se světovým „průměrem“. Druhým cílem práce je představit tato specifika na příkladu existující obchodní společnosti Pyaterochka, která je součástí X5 Retail Group, a analyzovat změny strategie této společnosti. První část práce na teoretické úrovni zkoumá pojem a podstatu maloobchodu a také analyzuje historii, současné trendy a specifika maloobchodního trhu v Rusku.
