Full text linkPenelitian ini tentang opini masyarakat Kabupaten Sidoarjo terhadap personal brand Tan Mei Hwa sebagai perempuan muslim Tionghoa dalam pencalonan pilkada Kabupaten Sidoarjo 2015. Pemilihan Kepala Daerah tahun 2015 adalah pertama kalinya Indonesia mengadakan Pemilihan Umum secara serentak seluruh Indonesia termasuk Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Hal tersebut dimanfaatkan salah satunya oleh Tan Mei Hwa sebagai perempuan muslim Tionghoa, yang berusaha membentuk citra yang kuat dan jelas pada masyarakat Kabupaten Sidoarjo.
Pada penelitian ini, pengambilan data menggunakan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) yang melibatkan dua kelompok informan, yakni kelompok pemula (P) dan kelompok lanjutan (U). Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus, supaya dapat memberikan gambaran secara mendetail sifat-sifat serta karakter-karakter yang khas dari Tan Mei Hwa, dengan pedoman wawancara yang telah disusun sebelumnya mengenai personal brand yang dikaitkan dengan identitas diri Tan Mei Hwa.
Dari hasil dan analisis, disimpulkan bahwa pendapat masyarakat mengenai personal brand Tan Mei Hwa adalah perempuan pendakwah beretnis Tionghoa. Namun pemilihan partai dan pasangan politik yang kurang sesuai menyebabkan personal brand Tan Mei Hwa tidak maksimal dalam pencalonan wakil bupati. Adapun aspek karakteristik pada elemen kekhasan, masyarakat merasakan kualitas nilai-nilai agama yang tetap dipertahankan sembari memperjuangan hak-hak kaum perempuan. Tetapi pada elemen relevansi, terlihat dari masyarakat yang belum bisa menerima etnis Tionghoa, karena adanya label kikir yang terlanjur melekat dan kekhawatiran menguasai perekenomian Indonesia.

Private groups, government, regulatory agencies, consumer advocates, and social critics have been making a wide range of comments about the content and presumed impact of advertisement. This study was conducted in order to identify advertisements which influence children and to specifically examine the contents of these
advertisements in order to study the nature and extents of their influence. The age and income backgrounds
of the respondents are also dealt with here as variables, in an attempt to identify their significance in determining the influence of advertisements on children. It was also the aim of this study to indicate the effects of television advertising on children so that appropriate
steps can be made, if necessary, to achieve a truthful, accurate and fair advertising industry. It is hoped that these findings, however tentative and limited, will be useful to those who are concerned with "advertising to children". Adapun rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yang Pertama, Bagaimana persepsi pemilih perempuan di Desa Tropodo pada Ida Astuti (Tan Mei Hwa) sebagai Calon Wakil Bupati Sidoarjo. Kedua, Bagaimana tingkat keberpihakan pemilih perempuan di Desa Tropodo pada Ida Astuti (Tan Mei Hwa) sebagai Calon Wakil Bupati Sidoarjo. Ketiga, Seberapa besar pengaruh persepsi pemilih perempuan pada Ida Astuti (Tan Mei Hwa) sebagai Calon Wakil Bupati Sidoarjo terhadap tingkat keberpihakan pemilih perempuan di Desa Tropodo Kecamatan Waru Kabupaten Sidoarjo dalam Pemilu Kepala Daerah Serentak 2015.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 99 orang yang diambil secara Area sampling. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diantaranya adalah angket, dokumentasi, maupun observasi. Analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana dengan bantuan SPSS versi 16.0. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tiga hasil, yakni Pertama, persepsi pemilih perempuan di Desa Tropodo Kecamatan Waru Kabupaten Sidoarjo, mempunyai persepsi yang baik pada Ida Astuti (Tan Mei Hwa) sebagai Calon Wakil Bupati Sidoarjo. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil angket yang menunjukkan sebesar 57 (57,6%) responden yang memberikan persepsi yang baik pada Ida Astuti dengan rincian sebesar 27 (27,3%) menyatakan percaya dan 30 (30,3%) responden menyatakan cukup percaya bahwa Ida Astuti (Tan Mei Hwa) mampu membawa Sidoarjo menjadi lebih baik lagi sedangkan yang menyatakan tidak percaya bahwa Ida Astuti (Tan Mei Hwa) mampu membawa Sidoarjo menjadi lebih baik lagi sebesar 42 (42,4%) responden. Kedua, tingkat keberpihakan pemilih perempuan di Desa Tropodo Kecamatan Waru Kabupaten Sidoarjo dalam Pemilu Kepala Daerah Serentak 2015 memiliki keberpihakan yang baik. Hal ini bisa dibuktikan dengan jumlah 65,7% (65 reponden) yang memberikan keberpihakan untuk memilih Ida Astuti sebagai Calon Wakil Bupati pada Pemilu Kepala Daerah Serentak 2015 di Sidoarjo sedangkan 34,3% (34 responden) tidak memberikan keberpihakan pada Ida Astuti sebagai Calon Wakil Bupati pada Pemilu Kepala Daerah Serentak 2015 di Sidoarjo. Ketiga, berdasarkan hasil perhitungan statistik menggunakan SPSS versi 16.0 diketahui bahwa pengaruh persepsi pemilih perempuan pada Ida Astuti (Tan Mei Hwa) sebagai Calon Wakil Bupati Sidoarjo terhadap keberpihakan pemilih perempuan di Desa Tropodo Kecamatan Waru Kabupaten Sidoarjo dalam Pemilu Kepala Daerah Serentak 2015 mempunyai tingkat pengaruh yang “RENDAH” yaitu sebesar 0,333. Selanjutnya, dilakukan uji determinasi yang diperoleh nilai sebesar 0,111 yang artinya bahwa 11,1% variabel keberpihakan pemilih perempuan di Desa Tropodo Kecamatan Waru Kabupaten Sidoarjo dalam Pemilu Kepala Daerah Serentak 2015 dipengaruhi oleh persepsi pemilih perempuan pada Ida Astuti (Tan Mei Hwa) sebagai Calon Wakil Bupati Sidoarjo dan sisanya 88,9% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
