NILAI PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DALAM PERSPEKTIF ISLAMISASI DAN INTEGRASI ILMU (ISMAIL RAJI AL FARUQI, SYED MUHAMMAD NAQUIB AL ATTAS, AMIN ABDULLAH)
The breadth of science in various kinds of studies, both those that develop in the Islamic world or those that develop in the western world, gave birth to two different sides of thought, western scholarship with all its achievements in progress which stems from the development of Greek philosophy that leads to modern thinking models. Meanwhile, Islamic scholarship which refers to the holy book of the Qur'an and Hadith leads to the purification of thought. So that from these two scientific sides, there are several scientific principles that are contradictory and even contradictory. So far, Islamic thought is fragmentary and has no connection with contemporary issues. Therefore, efforts are needed to build an integrative-interconnective scientific epistemology. The purpose of this paper is to look at some of the thoughts of Islamization and scientific integration of Ismail Raji Al Faruqi, Syed Muhammad Naquib Al Attas and Amin. This writing method is in the form of a literature review (Library Research). Data analysis was carried out using the technique of deepening Islamic thought from Ismail Raji Al Faruqi, Syed Muhammad Naquib Al Attas and Amin Abdullah. The results of the paper describe that the Islamization and Integration of Science in Islamic Religious Education is Amin Abdullah's scientific spider web model, the integration of western science with the Ismail Raji model and the Islamization of science with the Syed Naquib Al Attas model

PANDANGAN SYED MUHAMMAD NAQUIB AL-ATTAS TENTANG ISLAMISASI ILMU
AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menyelidiki gagasan Islamisasi ilmu pengetahuan kontemporer dalam pandangan Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas. Metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan filsafat dipilih untuk penelitian ini. Dengan menafsirkan berbagai sumber, disimpulkan bahwa sejak awal kelahirannya, wacana Islamisasi ilmu telah menarik perhatian para ulama dan sebagian cendekiawan di dunia untuk membahasnya. Mereka yang terlibat dalam maudhu \u27(wacana) islamisasi ilmu, biasanya memperdebatkan pentingnya islamisasi ilmu mengingat suatu ilmu memiliki nilai yang sarat dengan apa yang diklaimnya, salah satu penyebabnya suatu ilmu atau ilmu pengetahuan disusupi oleh Pandangan dunia Barat yaitu sudut pandang sekuler, filosofi hidup mereka, serta nilai-nilai ideologi Barat yang pasti bertentangan dengan ajaran dan nilai Islam pula. Menurut penilaian mereka, ilmu yang berkembang saat ini sudah tidak bermanfaat lagi bagi umat manusia. Justru yang telah menyebabkan kehancuran dan malapetaka umat manusia. Sebagai cendekiawan Muslim kontemporer dan juga tokoh sentral dalam ide Islamisasi ilmu, Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas dengan berani menggemakan gagasan tersebut. Ghayat al-amani and the life and times of al-Hadi Yahya b. al-Husayn: an introduction, newly edited text and translation with detailed annotation
The thesis is anchored upon a text extracted from an important 11th / 17th century Yemeni historical work. This text deals primarily with al-Hādī ilā 'I-Haqq, the founder of the Zaydī Imamate in the Yemen that lasted well over a thousand years. AI-Hādīs imamate, of considerable significance in itself, also coincides with one of the most turbulent periods of early Yemeni mediaeval history. The- edited Arabic text, with its accompanying apparatus criticus. Is to be found at the opposite end of this volume. The Introduction considers various aspects of Imam al-Hadī’s life, religious ideas and aspirations and matters directly connected with the edited text and the work of which it forms a part. Among the most important subjects discussed are the MSS used in the production of the edited text, the problem concerning the authorship of Ghāyat al-amānī and the relationship of the latter work to Anbā' al-zaman. A short biography of al-Hādī is provided, together with a treatment of the historical background to ai-Hādīs imamate. The introduction also describes the editorial method followed with regard to the text, and certain key personal names and toponyms are dealt with there. The method employed by the author of the Ghāyat is to record the events of any one year by Itself. I have translated one year at a time and then followed it by the annotations appertaining to it. It is hoped that by means of these annotations. (some of which through necessity are quite detailed ), the text will be better understood. The numerous personages, tribal names and toponyms are considered, as well as problems concerning points of chronology and various matters of historical and religious significance. Specific comment is made upon certain interesting terms or any unusual or striking vocabulary. The thesis concludes with maps, genealogical tables and a comprehensive bibliography
The role of the accused in English and Islamic criminal justice
This thesis is a comparative study of the role of the accused in the systems of
English and Islamic criminal justice. It seeks to explore the underlying
relationship between the individual and the state through an historical, structural
and contextual analysis of their rules relating to questioning and of confessions.
The analysis of the English system covers the period 1800 to 1984, with
particular reference to developments during the nineteenth century when the
foundations for the modern English state were established. The analysis of the
Islamic system combines traditionally Islamic and modern methods, assessing the
"Islamisation" movement in Malaysia through a religico-structural understanding
of juristic opinion from the four main schools of Sunnite jurisprudence.
The thesis contributes to existing knowledge on a number of levels: first, it
questions and revises the "myth" of "progress" that has dominated observations
of the history of the English criminal justice system; second, it elucidates the
relationship between Islamic law in theory and the law that is applied and
proposed in its name in Muslim states; third, it provides an analytical framework
for drawing comparisons between the underlying values of the systems of English
and Islamic criminal justice.
While acknowledging fundamental differences in terms of outlook and
articulation, the author concludes there are important similarities expressed
through such notions as "suspect" in the English system and "kafir"I"fasiq" in the
Islamic. These act as intermediate constitutional categories to whom the state
owe less protection. But the author notes also that these similarities are not
observed necessarily in the "law" which is implemented or proposed in Muslim
states; exact correspondence depends upon the over-arching political structure
and the institution of Caliphate.
The thesis is divided into six chapters: chapter one sets out the conventional view
of the historical development of English criminal procedure and evidence;
chapter two subjects that to a critique and chapter three offers a revised thesis.
Chapter four, explores methods for interpreting and explaining Islam; chapter
five sets out rules relating to confessions and questioning according to the four
Sunni schools; chapter six puts them into "context" through an examination of
the "Islamisation" process in Malaysia
An Islamic perspective of industrial relations: the case of Pakistan
The aim of this paper is to describe an Islamic perspective of industrial relations (IR). Based on a review of literature on IR in Islam including a reading of the principal sources of Islam (the Qur'an and the Hadith), the paper identifies two divergent ethical approaches to IR: a pro-equality (neutral) approach and a pro-social justice (affirmative) approach. In its second half, the paper offers a case study of IR in Pakistan. The study suggests that the two divergent Islamic approaches to IR may be seen as having ambiguous implications for labor laws and trade unions in Pakistan (and possibly other Muslim majority countries).Islam, Pakistan, Industrial Relations

Panca Jiwa Pondok Modern Ditinjau dari Konsep Ta’dib Syed Muhammad Naquib Al Attas
Indonesia sebagai negara Islam yang besar sudah semestinya concern pada solusi Pendidikan di Indonesia berbasis agama dan akhlak. Yang mana, salah satu lembaga yang strategis dan memiliki peran yang besar dalam hal ini adalah pesantren-pesantren yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia. Dalam mengonsep seluruh kegiatan dalam pondok pesantren, kyai beserta pembantu kyai menyusun sebuah falsafah yang menjadi landasan, yaitu Panca Jiwa Pondok Modern. Syed Muhammad Naquib Al Attas, seorang pemikir Pendidikan Islam mengemukaan satu istilah yang dikenal dengan ta’dib. Ta’dib menurut beliau lebih tepat disematkan untuk makna Pendidikan Islam sebab mengandung keseluruhan makna tarbiyah dan ta’lim. Ta’dib menekankan pada Pendidikan akhlak sebagai jalan dari pengoptimalan keseluruhan aspek Pendidikan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan, yang ingin menemukan benang merah antara Pendidikan Pondok Modern dengan implementasi Panca Jiwa, dengan Konsep ta’dib Syed Muhammad Naquib Al Attas. Sumber data akan didapatkan dari perpustakaan baik berbentuk buku, jurnal ilmiah dan hasil penelitian. Data yang didapat akan dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan pedagogis kemudian dijabarkan secara deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa antara Panca Jiwa Pondok Modern dan konsep ta’dib Al Attas memiliki satu tujuan utama yaitu membentuk insan kamil, yakni manusia yang seimbang antara iman, ilmu dan akhlaknya, melalui pendidikan akhlak dan character building. Sehingga tujuan utama diciptakannya manusia terpenuhi, yaitu menjadi abdullah dan khalifah di atas muka bumi
