Get PDFShipworm is specialized as wood borer bivalve.They has a pair of shell which reduce to a small but highly efficient cutting organ at the extreme anterior end by which they bore the woods up to 19 mm a day. Shipworm derives some nutrition from the wood that they swallow with enzymatic mechanizm and bacterial simbionts. They store their products of digestion in the form of glycogen and fat. Mangrove is their natural habitat, and they also play an important ecological role in the reduction of mangrove woods. Syaputra (2003) has reported that shipworm which lives in Mangrove ecosystem near Tanjung Batu Village is from genus Bactronophorus. It is based on Allan (1962) who said that shipworm with stilt-like pallets, short siphons and the shell with 1.85 cm of length, and total length of pallet reaches 5 cm is Bactronophorus. As the other fisheries coomodities (crabs, shrimps, etc), shipworm could be an alternative source of health food by providing the essential fatty acids. Until now, we still have to catch the shipworm from nature, so that, the yields would be depend on the carrying capacity, catch per unit area, and catch season. For the future, it is important for the stakeholders altogether assuring that our mangrove ecosystem still provides nursery and feeding ground function especially for the shipworm

Information, accounting, and the regulation of concessioned infrastructure monopolies
Get PDFEconomists often characterize the regulation of monopolies as a"game"(between the regulator and the service provider) in which the two players do not share the same information. The regulator is assumed to have poorer information than the service provider about the scope of future efficiency gains and the size and timing of future investment plans. Over time, the regulator must increase its information base so that regulatory targets become more realistic - but this is a costly process. The authors examine the ways such information can and should be generated, especially throughthe accounting requirements a regulator can impose on private operators of infrastructure concessions. (They view concessioning and regulation as complementary, not substitute, activities.) Concessionaires should provide regulators with the information they need to: 1) Compare outcomes with expectations. 2) Evaluate the cost of adverse shocks that may warrant relaxed regulations. 3) Evaluate whether lower costs than expected are the result of better performance or diminished output. 4) Properly evaluate the asset base and charge for the consumption of capital. Information that regulators get from private operators of infrastructure monopolies should be used to make both regulators and concessionaires accountable. In Chile, for example, the privatization of monopolies led to significant efficiency gains, but it took a long time for these gains to be passed on to users because neither the firms nor the regulators were held accountable - until Congress expressed reluctance to endorse further privatization because earlier waves of privatization had not benefited consumers. (1874-1955) who was appointed Professor (1908) and Head of the Department of Veterinary Medicine as well as Director (1914) of the Ambulatory Clinic and Professor Emeritus (1942) at the New York State Veterinary College. Widely known for his expertise in diagnosis, Dr. Udall was an active writer and author of 61 papers and books, including six editions of "The Practice of Veterinary Medicine". He served as Editor and publisher of "The Cornell Veterinarian" for 30 years. The memorial statements contained herein were prepared by the Office of the Dean of the University Faculty of Cornell University to honor its faculty for their service to the university

Penambahan ini membawa masalah pada pemrosesan data karena akan membutuhkan waktu yang sangat lama apabila menggunakan satu mesin, untuk mengatasi hal tersebut maka proses komputasi bisa dilakukan secara paralel. Salah satu hal yang dapat diekstrak dari data teks adalah akronim dan kepanjangannya. Penelitian yang telah dilakukan pada ekstraksi pasangan akronim dan ekspansinya dari data teks masih menggunakan satu mesin. Penelitian ini berfokus pada melakukan pembangkitan pasangan-pasangan kandidat akronim dan ekspansinya serta fitur-fiturnya dari 100.000 dan 200.000 data artikel menggunakan Hadoop MapReduce dengan bahasa pemrograman Perl dan Java serta melakukan klasifikasi menggunakan Apache Spark untuk metode Paralel SVM dan K-NN. Hasil yang didapat dari proses pembangkitan fitur-fitur pasangan kandidat akronim dan ekspansinya adalah Perl dengan library Hadoop Streaming jauh mengungguli Java dalam melakukan pembangkitan fitur. Saat memproses 200.000 artikel, Perl dengan 39 server hanya membutuhkan waktu 2 jam 2 menit sementara Java membutuhkan waktu 22 jam 28 menit. Sedangkan selama proses klasifikasi, meskipun Paralel SVM memiliki nilai F-Measure yang sedikit lebih rendah dibandingkan K-NN, namun Paralel SVM membutuhkan waktu yang jauh lebih sedikit. Waktu yang dibutuhkan Paralel SVM untuk mengklasifikasi 119 juta pasangan kandidat akronim dan ekspansinya menggunakan 39 server adalah 1 menit 18 detik sedangkan K-NN membutuhkan 26 menit 42 detik

Through the five essay poems written by Denny JA, various facts are presented to be used as lessons for readers as part of society. This collection of stories of different kinds of love offered by Denny JA opens the eyes and awakens the readers' minds that love is no love is never free or natural. Love is still imprisoned by religion, discrimination, by the moral norms of society. Is there true love that transcends religion, overcomes discrimination, and is above the moral norms of society? This collection of five poetry essays Atas Nama Cinta by Denny JA serves as a starting point for reflections to answer the restlessness expressed inf the series of questions above. The meaning of love as described by Denny JA raises the perspective of both internal social problems related to the psyche due to conflicting thoughts that exist in the person's character””and externally associated with the character's interaction with the surrounding environment. The meaning of love needs to be reconstructed to convey educational values to readers as part of society. Literary works, including poetry, are not only psychological expressions of the author but also reflect recorded records of various events in a community so that poetry can present a history of conflicts that exist in the author's memory

No full textFollowing the recent renewal of interest in the teaching of pragmatics (Kasper & Roever, 2004), the author has conducted a series of action research investigations into the teaching of pragmatic norms using elicited recorded samples of native speaker role-play (Denny, 2008). This article reflects on the journey and reports in detail on the final cycle of this action research journey in which the teaching of the pragmatics of casual conversation to two classes using such samples was investigated. The results indicate that there are noticeable levels of improvement in the ability of participants to use these norms and they see this improvement as having arisen from exposure not only to these semi-authentic recordings in the classroom but also to contact with native speakers outside the classroom together with explicit input from the teacher

Namun keberlanjutan kegiatan budidaya yang dilakukan masih terkandala oleh banyak hal salahsatunya adalah kurangnya efisiensi dalam pemanfaatan potensi sumberdaya yang dimiliki. Tambak yang dimiliki oleh para pembudidaya ikan masing belum terkelola dengan optimal. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan aplikasi IPTEKS untuk mengefisiensikan potensi sumberdaya yang dimiliki oleh para pembudidaya ikan dengan teknologi pemeliharaan sistem polikultur antara kepiting bakau dengan ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos). Target khusus dari kegiatan ini adalah Kapasitas produksi budidaya milik pokdakan semakin meningkat dan efisien dengan tearalikasinya teknologi polikultur. Metode kegiatan ini yaitu metode survey lapangan dengan menyisipkan teknologi polikultur dalam melakukan kegiatan budidaya. Hasil dari kegiatan ini yaitu tambak budidaya milik para pembudidaya ikan semakin optimal dan efesien dengan diversifikasi komoditi selain kepiting bakau yaitu ikan bandeng. Kepiting bakau mampu tumbuh dan hidup dengan optimal serta mencapai ukuran panen. Selain itu ikan bandeng yang dipelihara mampu hidup dan tumbuh dengan optimal dengan pertumbuhan yang sesuai dengan diharapkan
