Get PDFObjective: This research aims to examine the influence of entrepreneurship education, self-efficacy, and perceived desire on entrepreneurial intentions using the Shapero Entrepreneurial Event Model theoretical approach.
Design/ methodology/ approach The population in this study was 280 Tarakan City students. The data used in this case. This research is primary data sourced from questionnaires. This research uses a quantitative approach with survey methods. Variable measurement uses a Likert scale and the sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method. The analysis technique used is SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) with SPSS and LISREL 8.80 software tools.
Findings: The findings show that entrepreneurship education has a positive and significant effect on self-efficacy, self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intentions, and perceived desire has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intentions.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Effects of Dual Role Conflict, Work Stress, and Work–Family Balance on Female Lecturer Performance
No full textThis study examines the direct and indirect effects of dual-role conflict and job stress on the performance of female lecturers, with work–family balance as a mediating variable. The research employed a quantitative, explanatory approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with 150 respondents—married female lecturers at Universitas Borneo Tarakan. Data were collected using validated instruments adapted from the Occupational Stress Index and the Carlson et al. work–family balance model. The findings reveal that dual-role conflict significantly and negatively affects female lecturer performance both directly and indirectly through reduced work–family balance. In contrast, job stress does not show a significant direct effect but has a significant indirect impact on performance through the mediating role of work–family balance. Additionally, work–family balance emerged as a strong positive predictor of performance. These results highlight the critical role of psychological balance in mitigating the adverse effects of work-related and domestic pressures. The study offers valuable insights for institutions to develop support mechanisms that enable female academics to maintain optimal professional performance while managing multiple roles

Get PDFThis study examines the role of government on community motivation and innovation in improving the performance of Karang Agung Independent Village, North Tanjung Palas District, Bulungan Regency. The phenomenon of independent villages remains rare in North Kalimantan with only 11 out of 447 villages achieving this status. The research employs a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on PLS-SEM with SmartPLS 4 software. Data were collected through questionnaires from 269 respondents who are heads of households in Karang Agung Village with criteria of minimum age 17 years, minimum senior high school education, and permanent residence for at least two years. The results indicate that government role has a positive and significant effect on community motivation, community innovation, and independent village performance. The government's role as stabilizer, innovator, modernizer, pioneer, and development implementer proved to increase community motivation in actively participating in village development. Community motivation and innovation also proved to have positive and significant effects on improving independent village performance reflected through job creation, economic activities based on local wisdom, development independence, and reduced rural-urban development disparities. This research provides theoretical contributions to the development of human resource management concepts at the village level and practically can serve as a reference for other villages in their efforts to achieve independent village status through strengthening government role, increasing motivation, and developing community innovation
