Strengthening the Performance of Micro and Small Industries in Mojokerto City: Antecedents of Management Orientation and Business Innovation
Objective: This study aims to examine the effect of management orientation on business innovation and business performance enhancement, as well as the effect of business innovation on business performance enhancement in micro and small industries.
Design/methodology/approach: This study is categorized as quantitative research with an associative/explanatory approach accompanied by hypothesis testing. The unit of analysis in this study was micro and small industry business actors with a population of 163. The sample size in the study was 84 (51,53%), and the sample members were taken from the population using purposive sampling, which was then referred to as respondents. The questionnaire was distributed over a period of four weeks (August 1, 2025 - August 28, 2025) and was filled out by several respondents; therefore, the data collected through this questionnaire is quite representative of the population.
Findings: Testing in path analysis shows that management orientation directly and significantly affects business innovation and business performance, strengthening with standardized coefficient values of 0,316 (sig. 0,046) and 0,394 (sig. 0,039), respectively. While business innovation directly and significantly affects the strengthening of micro and small business performance, with a standardized coefficient value of 0,317 (sig. 0,043). The results of this study indicate that a management orientation that is responsive to change and adaptive to environmental changes will spur creative behavior in business innovation, thereby creating effective and efficient business practices in managing resources and encouraging better business performance. Business innovation that focuses on the use of digital platforms and social media is able to provide services to consumers more quickly, easily, and flexibly without being limited by time, place, and space, thereby encouraging the strengthening of business performance. Strengthening the performance of micro and small industries can be achieved when management is more responsive to environmental changes and able to implement them in business processes, increasing creativity in carrying out business innovation effectively and efficiently, both in business management, applying management functions, and business cycles. Strengthening management orientation and business innovation can be relevant antecedents to explain the strengthening of the performance of micro and small industries. Therefore, hypotheses H1, H2, and H3 can be accepted because all the antecedents tested have a direct, positive, and significant effect with a significance level below 0.05
Gender and Development Included Forest Sector
Purpose: The aim of this study is to analyze gender issues in development in Ethiopia, with a particular focus on the forest sector. This study seeks to identify the challenges and barriers to gender equality across key sectors such as education, employment, health, and political representation, while also assessing the government of Ethiopia's policies and legal frameworks related to gender.
Methodology: The methodology employed in this study involves both quantitative and qualitative approaches, utilizing a literature review and secondary data analysis.
Findings: Key findings indicate that, although Ethiopia has made significant progress in achieving gender equality, such as increased girls' enrollment in primary education, improved maternal health, and high political representation of women, there are still considerable disparities, particularly in the forest sector. Women face limitations in accessing forest resources and decision-making processes, despite their critical role in forest management. Additionally, the unpaid care work burden and limited access to education result in women being overrepresented in low-paid domestic work and less involved in politics and public life. Gender-blind policies remain a significant barrier to women's empowerment in the forest sector.

Factors Affecting the Implementation of Green Banking Technology: Evidence from Digital Banking in Indonesia
Purpose: This study aims to investigate the factors that influence the adoption of digital banking, with the ultimate goal of increasing the acceptance of green banking technology.
Design/methodology/approach: This study employs a mixed-methods approach, involving a survey of 466 digital banking users analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0. This data is strengthened through in-depth interviews with 30 respondents regarding the intention to use digital banking.
Findings: The study's findings revealed that Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) and Perceived Usefulness (PU) have a positive influence on the intention to use green banking technology, mediated by User Satisfaction (US). Then, Perceived Value (PV) has a positive influence on the Intention to Use Green Banking Technology, and the role of Trust has the most significant positive influence.
Research limitations/implications: This study has limited generalizability to its population sample due to the random data collection and lack of focus on specific user groups.
Practical implications: This study demonstrates that the adoption of digital banking significantly reduces carbon emissions contributing to global warming by minimizing paper use and waste.
Originality/value: This research can serve as a basis for developing more effective green banking policies, thereby encouraging sustainable economic growth in developing countries.

The Effect of Product Design and Price on Consumers’ Impulsive Buying on Shopee
Purpose: This study aims to examine the effect of product design and price on consumers’ impulsive buying behavior on Shopee.
Design/Methodology/Approach: The research employed a quantitative approach with purposive sampling of 200 respondents who had purchased sublimation-printed fabric products under the Cannamolid Pattern brand on Shopee. Data were collected through a five-point Likert scale questionnaire. The validity and reliability of the instrument were tested, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with t-tests and F-tests through SPSS version 29.
Findings: The results show that: (1) product design has a positive and significant effect on impulsive buying (? = 0.499; t = 14.237; p < 0.001); (2) price also has a positive and significant effect (? = 0.325; t = 9.284; p < 0.001); and (3) product design and price simultaneously have a significant effect on impulsive buying, with F = 188.603 and p < 0.001. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.657 indicates that both variables explain 65.7% of the variance in impulsive buying, while the remaining 34.3% is influenced by other factors outside the model.
Research limitations/implications: This study emphasizes the role of product design and pricing strategies as strong triggers of impulsive buying in e-commerce. However, future research is recommended to include psychological factors and other marketing aspects for a more comprehensive understanding.
Practical implications: The findings provide practical insights for e-commerce sellers, particularly local brands, to pay closer attention to product design and pricing strategies in order to stimulate consumers’ impulsive purchases.
Originality/value: Few studies have specifically examined how product design—especially fabric motifs—and pricing strategies affect impulsive buying on e-commerce platforms such as Shopee. This study contributes a new perspective by highlighting the context of local MSMEs selling patterned fabric products, making the findings especially relevant for small businesses competing in Indonesia’s digital marketplace.

The Effect of Debt to Equity Ratio and Total Asset Turnover on Return On Asset in Property and Real Estate Sub-Sector Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the Period 2021-2023
Purpose: The research effort is designed to assess the interdependency among the variables specifically, the Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER) and Total Asset Turnover (TATO) to establish their collective impact on the dependent variable, Return on Assets (ROA). The scope is limited to an examination of financial data from IDX-listed property and real estate entities throughout the three-year timeframe between 2021 and 2023.
Design/methodology/approach: The research employed SPSS (version 26) to conduct the necessary preliminary analyses. These included checks for normality, autocorrelation, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity, which are the standard statistical assumptions. The study's hypotheses were evaluated through multiple linear regression analysis, incorporating necessary t-tests and F-tests. The choice of a purposive sampling method was justified on the grounds that it enables the inclusion of only those samples that are most relevant and directly contribute to addressing the specific aims of the investigation.
Findings: A powerful statistical association was identified, indicating that the Return on Assets (ROA) is largely contingent upon the interplay between a firm's Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER) and its Total Asset Turnover (TATO). This implies that strategic financial decisions such as managing debt to enhance asset utilization and fulfill financial commitments, as indicated by DER, and maximizing revenue and profit generation from assets, as represented by TATO play a direct role in shaping ROA, which serves as a critical indicator of a firm's profitability.
Research limitations/implications: Data collection was strictly confined to the 2021–2023 observation timeframe, with figures sourced entirely from property and real estate firms trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). As a consequence of this focus, the generalizability of the results is inherently constrained; the findings may not be reliably applied to other industrial sectors or alternative time periods. This methodological limitation stems from the acknowledged variance in financial structures, operational models, and distinct market environments that differentiate industries and change significantly across historical eras.
Practical implications: The study's findings can serve as a foundation for financial decisions made by investors and business management, especially when it comes to controlling debt and actions that boost profitability.
Originality/value: The findings from this investigation are anticipated to enhance academic understanding of managerial performance, particularly by detailing how Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER) and Total Asset Turnover (TATO) exert influence on Return on Assets (ROA) specifically among property and real estate companies.
