A DRAMATIC READING OF BAUDELAIRE (IX) Symphonic Poem (II) The Empathy Method
Prof. Tuğrul İnal, deals with women’s problems in reality and fiction through the Empathy Method, in destructing Baudelaire’s language in Flowers of Evil. The details of the Empathy Method were published in the 18th edition of “Frankofoni”- pp 3-26. Inal stated that the application of this method to the works of the Turkish poet Orhan Veli and Baudelaire’s texts allows the essayist an artistic and aesthetic freedom, enlarges the limits of creativity, and to a certain extent even allows for the text to be reconstructed. This method also draws attention to the author, and the essayist is faced the vital and aesthetic problematic which Baudelaire dealt with throughout his lifetime. The Empathy Method allows the readers to experience Baudelaire over and over again in an intertextual context and a narrative style befitting the essay. Thus, the essayist becomes an actor, an independent implementer affecting the whole and even the producer. Prof. Inal continues with the use of this method in analysis – this time concentrating on what he calls ‘symphonic poetry’. This paper, reminiscent of the themed partitions of symphonic poetry, is composed of four parts. In the first part which is fiery and impassioned there are Dreams and Passions, the second part initially avid and expeditious then impassive and leisurely is Adulation for a Lover, the third part which starts out in an impetuous manner but then moves to a leisurely pace is called Tranquility, Tension and Anguish, the short final section is entitled Death and the Devil. Death, nihilism and pessimism are the main features of symphonic poetry. Benevolence, grace and euphoria between heaven and hell ends with the tragic defeat of the Devi
A DRAMATIC READING OF CAHİT SITKI TARANCI For a “genre” of poetry-theatre The Empathy Method;UNE LECTURE DRAMATIQUE POUR CAHİT SITKI TARANCI Pour un “genre” de poésie-théâtre Un essai emphatique
Tuğrul İNAL, investigates Cahit Sıtkı TARANCI’s poetry through the empathy method developed personally by the academician for the analysis of plays, stories, poetry and the like.. İnal published his first reading through empathy in 2006 in the Frankofoni no 18 pgs 3-13 and 19-26 and the latest in 2014 volume 26 pgs 1-6, 7-13. The author shares the poets stance between life and poetry through analysis of his view of death and with this method that entails the entwines the languages of poetry and drama and praises love.. The love of life and melancholy are intertwined in Tarancı’s poetry. Fear of death is his depression.. Death is inevitable and fearful. In an effort to ease the fear of death, Tarancı inserts a kindness and sweetness into his poetry.. The concepts of life and death are inherent in all his poems. Like a child he is in awe of all he sees and looks at the world through pink glasses, and is sad that all this beauty will come to an end. Happiness and sadness are both present in his poetry..

A dramatic reading of Hale Seval's "Duvarsız Avlu-Bozcaada" (1): using the empathy method
Hâle Seval’s last story book is entitled ‘Duvarsız Avlu Bozcaada- Bozcaada a Courtyard with Walls’. The author borrowed the title of this work from the work of Arif Damar- with his permission of course. She composes a story were the images of her world are portrayed in italics and the human-island, human-human, past-present, happiness-misery and even further than that devastation reflected as a dramatic tale. Hâle Seval thanks friends and other witnesses to the islands past and present with all its authenticity and simplicity in the forward to her work. In her work she portrays the lives of the humans and their ontological problems with an incredible patience, in a tasteful manner and with a dramatic language. As in the tribute paid by Şavkar Altınel on the back cover ‘… the vivacious details will attract you like the colors of the rays of sunshine, the islands problems will appeal to your heart, and a layer of salt like the residue of the sea will remain with you forever…’. Tuğrul İnal now uses the Empathy Method to analyze Hâle Seval’s latest stories after his diligent works on Orhan Veli, Baudelaire, and Cevat Şaki
In structuring his novel, My Name is Reel, Orhan Pamuk uses a refined technique and narrativised description that bring to mind a technique that goldsmiths, engravers and miniaturists used in the
16th century. His novel could be considered a novel on painting and miniatures because the author perfectly and skillfully combines description and murntion to present the reader a rich repertoire
of works of art that were miniatures in the 16th century. Prof. Ina! and Ass. Prof. Kaya also studied other facets of this novel (sociological, historical, detectiv ... etc.) that provide possibilities for
multilevel reading. Moreover, the rich narrativisea descriptions, place Orhan Pamuk among the rare, "exolic-ekphrastic" Turkish writers
Vertical Sundial from the Madrasa of al-Ashraf Inal (No. 158) on Cairo Northern Necropolis
The primary goal of this paper is a detailed publication of the little known mizwala munharifa (vertical sundial), still preserved on the madrasa belonging to the funerary complex of the Sultan Al-Ashraf Inal (no. 158), on the so-called Cairo North Cemetery. This sundial, dating back to Rabi I, year 871 [AH] – i.e. 11.10.-09.11.1466 AD – is a work of the otherwise unknown ‘poor Hassan al-Tayybi’, pupil of the famous mathematician and astronomer (and a longtime muwaqqit of the Al-Azhar) Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Ġazal, widely known as Badr or Sibt al-Din al-Mar[i]dini (AD 1423–1506).
Further on, comparing the mizwala in question with two other sundials preserved in the city center, author attempts to approach the function and role this instrument might have played within the social context of the local population inhabiting the north-east Cairo suburbs (Cairo ‘fuori le mura’, the ‘North Cemetery’ included) – dominated, by the end of the mamluk period, by numerous sufi communities

On the national-artistic base of poetry by Aslanbek Psigusov
This article examines the issues of the national artistic, aesthetic foundations of the creative life of modern Kabardian poet A. Psigusov. The analysis is carried out on the material of his poems: “Ali Tsirhizh”, “The legend of the blind singer Inal”, “Sultanbek”, “Thrifty neighbor” and others.
The author of the article analyzes the questions the mythological and folkloric bases of A. Psigusov’s poetry, the theme of the Caucasian War, as well as some modern problems.
The greatest emphasis is put on the historical orientation of the poet’s works, among which are the poems “Ali Tsirhizh” and “Sultanbek”. These poems are of epic content, where there is an important effect of the documentary: toponomics, reliance on historical facts, names of historical figures, etc. The article grounds the features of the poetics, its proximity to the folklore of the Adyghe people.
An analysis of the poem “Sultanbek” allows the author to draw conclusions not only about courage, honor and dignity of the representatives of the Adyghe people, but also about the need to protect the peace and rejection of war in any of its manifestation. In this regard, the ethno-folklore elements get, according to the author, a new aesthetic value in the heroic poem “Sultanbek” and “Legend of the blind singer Inal”. Particular attention is paid to the artistic unity of historical fact and fiction in the works of A. Psigusov
Reliability and validity of the turkish version of the feeding/swallowing impact survey
Inal, Ozgu (Trakya author)The purpose of this study was to translate the Feeding/Swallowing Impact Survey (FS-IS) into Turkish and to test its reliability and validity in caregivers of children with cerebral palsy (CP). Caregivers accompanying the 117 children with CP who were referred for an instrumental swallowing evaluation were included in the study. The FS-IS was translated from English into Turkish by using the forward, backward, forward translation method. Parents completed the Turkish version of the Feeding/Swallowing Impact Survey (T-FS-IS) which has 3 subscales including daily activities, worry and feeding difficulties. Swallowing function was assessed with Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Study, and penetration and aspiration severity was determined according to the Penetration-Aspiration Scale (PAS). The internal consistency, test-retest reliability, construct validity, and discriminant validity of the T-FS-IS were investigated. Internal consistency was excellent with Cronbach alphas all above 0.8 (Total score=0.99, daily activities=0.98, worries=0.98, and feeding difficulties=0.96). The Intraclass correlation coefficient was 0.93, demonstrating excellent test-retest reliability. All three subscales of the T-FS-IS including daily activities, worry, and feeding difficulties as well as the total score significantly correlated with the PAS scores. Caregivers whose children had aspiration reported worse scores in the T-FS-IS total and its subscales compared with caregivers whose children without airway aspiration according to PAS (p<0.01). The T-FS-IS is a reliable and valid instrument for measuring the impact of swallowing disorders on caregivers of children with CP. It can be used in clinical practice and research.
