Pengaruh Model Scientific Learning dan Kemandirian Belajar Terhadap Kemampuan Memecahkan Masalah Lingkungan
Penelitian bertujuan untuk melihat apakah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran scientific learning dan kemandirian belajar terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah lingkungan. Studi eksperimen telah dilakukan pada mahasiswa semester III Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Pakuan Bogor. Banyaknya sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 60 responden. 30 untuk kelompok mahasiswa yang menggunakan model Project Based Learning (PJBL) dan 30 untuk kelompok mahasiswa yang menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat interaksi positif antar faktor model pembelajaran scientific learning serta faktor kemandirian belajar terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah pencemaran lingkungan
Pengembangan E-Book Interaktif untuk Meningkatkan Kompetensi Siswa: E-book Interaktif
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-book interaktif untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa pada materi sistem reproduksi. Penelitian ini merupakan Research and Development (R&D) adalah model ADDIE yang dilaksanakan pada bulan April hingga Juni 2021. Populasi dan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa SMAN 1 Gunungputri kelas XI MIPA 4 sebanyak 30 orang siswa. Pelaksanaan uji coba dilaksanakan secara terbatas dalam bentuk kegiatan pembelajaran dalam jaringan dengan menggunakan desain penelitian the one group pretest – postest design. Instrumen yang digunakan pada peneltian ini terdiri dari lembar validasi ahli untuk menguji kelayakan e-book interaktif, instrumen soal tes siswa untuk mengetahui kompetensi siswa, serta instrumen angket respon guru dan siswa untuk mengetahui kepraktisan e-book interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-book interaktif yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dengan rata – rata nilai validasi ahli pakar sebesar 90,3% dengan kriteria sangaat layak. Bahan ajar e-book interaktif memiliki keefektifan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa pada materi sistem reproduksi dengan rata – rata nilai n-gain sebesar 0,4 (40%) dengan kriteria sedang dan tingkat efektivitas cukup efektif. Berdasarkan angket respon guru dan siswa terhadap bahan ajar e-book interaktif diperoleh sebesar 95,55% dan hasil angket siswa sebesar 82,20 % dengan kriteria sangat baik
MODEL PROJECT BASED LEARNING SEBAGAI UPAYA MENGELOLA COGNITIVE LOAD MAHASISWA PADA MATERI MEDIA AUDIO VISUAL
ABSTRACTA good learning strategy, should have to reduce the psychological burden of students when the learning process. The purpose of the study is to get an idea of the magnitude of the cognitive load of students in a project based learning on the subject of learning audio-visual media. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive. These research subjects are students of the fifth semester Biology Education Studies Program Pakuan University academic year 2016/2017 as many as 50 people. Student cognitive load was measured on three components, namely the mental effort students to describe extraneous cognitive load (ECL), the ability to receive and process information to describe instrisic cognitive load(ICL), and the learning outcomes to describe germane cognitive load (GCL). Measurement of ability to receive and process information using task complexity worksheet (Brunken et al., 2010). Measurements mental effort using a questionnaire of subjective ratting scale (Likert scale). Measurement of learning outcomes in the form essay, referring to the standard of reasoning developed by Marzano et al (1993). The results showed that the ability to receive and process information very high which means that ICL is in the range of working memory, mental effort which means low student ECL is also low, and a fairly high learning outcomes and describe the magnitude of GCL. The results of the correlation calculations between the three components of cognitive load showed a negative correlation between the ICL with ECL (r = -0.017), the positive correlation between the ICL with GCL (r = 0, 252), while ECL with GCL has a value of a positive correlation (r = 0.135) , These results illustrate that the GCL obtained by students at least caused by ICL. It can be concluded that the student is still at a high cognitive load while attending class project based learning. Keyword: cognitive load, project based learning, audio visual media ABSTRAKSrategi pembelajaran yang baik seyogyanya harus mampu mengurangi beban psikologis mahasiswa ketika proses pembelajaran. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian itu sendiri yaitu untuk mendapatkan gambaran besarnya beban kognitif mahasiwa dalam sebuah pembelajaran project based learning pada matakuliah media pembelajaran audio visual. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa semester V Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Pakuan tahun ajaran 2016/2017 sebanyak 50 orang. Beban kognitif mahasiswa diukur pada tiga komponen, yaitu usaha mental siswa untuk menggambarkan extraneous cognitive load (ECL), kemampuan menerima dan mengolah informasi untuk menggambarkan instrisic cognitive load (ICL), dan hasil belajar untuk menggambarkan germane cognitive load (GCL). Mengukur kemampuan menerima dan mengolah informasi menggunakan task complexity worksheet (Brunken et al., 2010). Pengukuran usaha mental menggunakan angket subjective ratting scale (skala Likert). Pengukuran hasil belajar berupa soal essay, mengacu pada standar penalaran yang dikembangkan oleh Marzano et al (1993). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menerima dan mengolah informasi sangat tinggi yang berarti ICL berada pada rentang memori kerja, usaha mental siswa rendah yang berarti ECL juga rendah, dan hasil belajar cukup tinggi dan menggambarkan besarnya GCL. Hasil perhitungan korelasi antar ketiga komponen beban kognitif menunjukkan, korelasi negatif antara ICL dengan ECL (r=-0,017), korelasi positif antara ICL dengan GCL (r=0,252), sedangkan ECL dengan GCL mempunyai nilai korelasi positif (r=0,135). Hasil ini menggambarkan bahwa GCL yang diperoleh oleh siswa sedikitnya diakibatkan oleh ICL. Analysis of Participation in Maintaining Environmental Cleanliness through Ecological Intelligence
This research is a sequential explanatory mixed method research which consists of a quantitative research and a qualitative research. This study consists of two variables, the independent variable (X) namely Ecological Intelligence and the dependent variable (Y) namely Participation in maintaining Environmental Cleanliness. This study aims to obtain information about relationship between ecological intelligence and participation in maintaining environmental cleanliness and to find out other factors related to participation in maintaining environmental cleanliness of high school students in Cibinong. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Cibinong and SMA Negeri 3 Cibinong in the 2020/2021 academic year. The research began in November 2020 until June 2021. The subjects of this study are students of class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 2 Cibinong and SMA Negeri 3 Cibinong. The research population was taken using a multistage random sampling technique. The research sample was determined by proportional random sampling technique using the slovin formula. Based on the calculation of the slovin formula, the number of samples was 166 students. The instrument used in this study is a non-test instrument, namely a questionnaire. The results of the study found that there was a positive relationship between ecological intelligence and participation in maintaining environmental cleanliness in SMA Negeri students in Cibinong District. The positive relationship is shown by the regression equation à = 32.524 + 0.673x with an r value of 0.697 and a coefficient of determination (r2) of 0.485, which means that 48.5% of ecological intelligence contributes to participation in maintaining environmental cleanliness, while the remaining 51.5% is a contribution from other factors beyond ecological intelligence. As for other factors related to participation in maintaining environmental cleanliness, namely: self-awareness, environment (family, friends, school), regulations, and information media. Develop Comics as Learning Media to Improve Students’ Knowledge about Environmental Disaster in Biology Learning
The development of innovative learning media is an alternative to solving problems that occur in the learning process, especially for students in biology learning. For this reason, an innovation in learning is needed to increase students' knowledge about environmental disasters and the handling of various types of environmental disasters through environmental disaster comics. The research method used is Research & Development (R&D) and uses the ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) with a one group pretest - posttest research design. The subjects in this study were class VII students of MTs Ar-Ridho Sentul. The research instrument used was in the form of multiple-choice questions and questionnaire sheets. Data analysis techniques include assessing creative thinking skills which are measured using the N-Gain formula. The results of the data analysis showed that the students' knowledge increased significantly. This indicates that project-based learning comic-based learning media is able to increase students' knowledge. In addition, the response of teachers and students also gave positive results that learning media in the form of comic project based learning can help increase knowledge of environmental disaster mitigation
Development of Learning Media for E-Booklet Human Reproductive System Materials to Improve Cognitive Learning Outcomes of High School Students
This study aims to develop a learning media E-Booklet for reproductive system materials to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes in biology subjects for the human reproductive system. This research was conducted from December 2020 to June 2021. The trial in this study consisted of one class using the model one group pretest- posttest design. The results of the validation related to the feasibility of the media E-Booklet obtained a score of 91% in the Very Valid category. The results of the pretest and posttest scores of class XI IPA-1 students in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes. This is indicated by the average value of the pretest before using the learning media, which is 33. While the average posttest after using the learning media is 87 with a Biology minimum completeness criteria value of 72. The N-Gain value has an average of 0.81 or in N Gain% is 81% indicating high category. This shows that the learning media E-Booklet material for the human reproductive system can improve students' cognitive learning outcomes
DEVELOPING ENCYCLOPEDIA OF MACROZOOBENTHIC INVERTEBRATES LEARNING MODULE TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ LEARNING OUTCOME IN BIOLOGY SUBJECT
This research is Research and Development (R&D) model used in the ADDIE model which was done on March until July 2019. The purpose of the study was to develop encyclopedia of macrozoobenthic invertebrates to improve student’s learning outcome. The research was conducted at a High School in Bogor, for the tenth grade students of MIPA 1 as the experimental class with the total number of 37 students and used one group pretest-posttest design. The instruments used in this study consist of expert validation sheets, multiple choice questions and questionnaire sheets to collect student responses about encyclopedia of learning module. Validation data shows that the feasibility test on the content of the material, language and presentations obtain values above 81% included the validity and appropriateness category for learning. The result of the questionnaire shows that a positive response was obtained with values above 82%. The average result obtained at pretest was 43,23 while the average result obtained at posttest was 79,90. The result of the N-Gain analysis shows a medium criterion of 0,6. In conclusion, the encyclopedia of macrozoobenthic invertebrates can improve student learning outcome
Elementary students’ worksheet based on discovery learning for environmental education and biodiversity learning
The discussion of environmental issues and the biodiversity of flora and fauna are interesting topics to remarkable. This topic includes the learning process at the elementary school level. The learning tool that can be developed is student worksheets for elementary schools. The objective of this research is to develop discovery learning-based student worksheets for elementary school students on environmental and biodiversity topics. The ADDIE model was employed as the research methodology in this study. The development stages carried out are starting from analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data analysis used was descriptive. The results of the research show that the student worksheet developed has a very valid category and is appropriate for use in learning with detail scores from Learning Expert I (3.90), Learning Expert II (3.70), and Learning Expert III (3.90). Students' worksheets were very valid and appropriate for learning. Student worksheets are one of the innovations that can be developed in school. The results of this research further validate that the student worksheets employed in fostering the development of student's critical thinking and creative thinking abilities. This research concludes that student worksheets based on discovery learning in environmental and biodiversity topics are appropriate for educational purposes
PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT DALAM PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH ORGANIK BERBASIS BIOKONVERSI MAGGOT
Abstrak: Pengelolaan sampah organik berbasis biokonversi maggot merupakan salah satu strategi untuk mengurangi timbunan sampah dan dampak negatif bagi lingkungan. Tujuan program pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah organik berbasis biokonversi maggot. Metode yang digunakan yaitu melalui sosialisasi, diskusi interaktif, monitoring/pendampingan dan evaluasi. Mitra dalam pengabdian ini adalah Kelompok Tani budidaya maggot yang beranggotakan 15 orang. Evaluasi dilakukan dalam bentuk pre-test sebelum penyampaian materi dan post-test setelah penyampaian materi. Hasil yang dicapai dari post-test terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan, pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah organik berbasis biokonversi maggot sekitar 5% sampai 7% untuk semua indikator soal. Selain itu hasil monitoring menunjukkan bahwa mitra sudah memahami dan terampil dalam budidaya maggot mulai dari penetasan telur, pemindahan larva dan pemanenan. Program pengabdian ini diharapkan berkelanjutan dan dapat menciptakan lapangan kerja baru dalam hal pengelolaan sampah organik berbasis biokonversi maggot.Abstract: The management of organic waste based on maggot bioconversion is one strategy to reduce waste accumulation and its negative impact on the environment. This community service activity aims to increase public knowledge, understanding, and awareness of maggot-based organic waste management. The methods used included socialisation, interactive discussions, mentoring, and evaluation. The partner in this program is a farmer group that cultivates maggots, consisting of 15 members. The evaluation was conducted through a pre-test before the material was delivered and a post-test after wards. The post-test results showed an increase in knowledge, understanding, and awareness among the community of 5% to 7% for all question indicator. In addition, the monitoring results showed that the main partners already understood and were skilled in maggot cultivation, starting from egg hatching, larva transfer, and harvesting. This programme is expected to be sustainable and to open up new job opportunities in the field of organic waste management based on maggot bioconversion
SW-Blend: Student worksheets for blended learning based on case-based learning model
Blended learning is learning that is a mixture of online and offline in class that must improve with innovation. Blended learning can be implemented using various learning tools that are integrated with learning models, one of which is the case-based learning model. This research aims to develop student worksheets for blended learning (SW-Blend) based on the case-based learning model. The method used in this research is research and development (R&D) with an approach using the ADDIE development stages. The implementation of this research will be in future research. The results of this research are that according to the results of the initial analysis, 90% of respondents have used a learning management system, 38.57% have not used problem-based student worksheets, and 42.57% still rarely use case-based learning. The validation results of the SW-Blend that have been developed are categorized as very valid so they are suitable for use in learning. Learning using blended learning is very important to be implemented using learning tools, in this case, SW-Blend based on case-based learning to improve students\u27 critical thinking skills
