THE INFLUENCE OF INTERNSHIP AND CAREER GUIDANCE TOWARD THE WORK READINESS OF THE 12TH ACCOUNTING GRADERS OF SMK NEGERI 31 JAKARTA, FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2017/2018
The aim of this research is to determine the influence of internship and career guidance toward the work readiness of the 12th Accounting graders of SMK Negeri 31 Jakarta for academic year 2017/2018 by using empirical data and facts that are valid and reliable. This research conduct at SMK Negeri 31 Jakarta. The research method used is survey method with quantitative approach. The population in this research is all 12th grade students of SMK Negeri 31 Jakarta as many as 198 people. The sample used as many as 58 people derived from Accounting major . The sampling technique in this study is simple random sampling. All datas are collected using likert scale model questionnaires for internship ( variable X1), career gidance (variable X2) and work readiness (variable Y). Regression equation in this research is Ŷ = 42,081 + 0,256 X1 + 0,228 X2. Based on the result of data analysis, it is known that there is significant partial influence between internship and work readiness. It can be seen from the data analysis that shows the value of tcount of 8,578 is greater than the ttable of 2,004. Also, there is significant partial influence between career guidance and work readiness which has been proved by the value of tcount of 4,730 is greater than the ttable of 2,004. In addition there is a simultaneous influence between intenship and career guidance toward work readiness. It can be seen from the results of data analysis showing the value of Fcount of 53.185 is greater than the Ftable value of 3.165. There is a positive and significant influence between intenship and career guidance toward work readiness with double correlation coefficient 0,744. Thus, the research hypothesis is accepted. The coefficient of determination (R)2 equal to 55,3%. The conclusion of this research is that there is a positive and significant influence between intenship with work readiness. In addition there is also a positive and significant influence between career guidance toward work readiness. Simultaneously, there is a positive and significant influence between internship and career guidance with work readiness. For further research it is advisable to add other independent variables that may affect work readiness variable
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
PENGARUH PAD, DAU, DAN DAK TERHADAP BELANJA MODAL PEMERINTAH DAERAH
This research aims to examine the effect of Regional Original Income, General Allocation Funds, and Specific Allocation Funds for Capital Expenditures both partially and simultaneously. The subjects in this study were Regency/ City Regional Governments in Central Java Province. This research used a sample of 32 regencies/ cities in Central Java originating from the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) Report from 2014-2016 obtained from the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression with hypothesis testing using t-statistics and F-statistics and coefficient of determination. The results of the research provide information that Regional Original Income and General Allocation Funds have an effect on Capital Expenditures, while Special Allocation Funds do not affect Capital Expenditures.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh Pendapatan Asli Daerah, Dana Alokasi Umum, dan Dana Alokasi Khusus terhadap Belanja Modal baik secara parsial maupun simultan. CRITICIZING THE TRANSLATION OF GIBRAN’S “THE BROKEN WINGS”: EXTRA AND INTRA-TEXTUAL ANALYSIS
This research was based on the fact that in the discipline of Translation Studies, Translation Criticism (TC) is highly underrated. Not many research that discuss about the issue due to the fact that doing TC is not as simple as flickering your fingers. It requires mastery of the theories of translation and mastery of linguistic and socio-cultural aspects from both languages. It was therefore, this study aimed to: (1) identify and elaborate the aspects of doing TC from extra- textual and intra-textual aspects; (2) give evaluation on the basis of the quality of the translation. To achieve the aims of the study, Gibran famous novel The Broken Wings (TBW) and its Indonesian translation Sayap-sayap Patah (SSP) are used as the data. Data collecting procedures are identifying the extra-textual and intra-textual aspects from TBW and SSP, highlighting them, and placing them on the table of data collection. The writer then analysed the data by employing the theory proposed by Nords and Newmark on TC and the Larson for the quality of translation. The findings showed that the analysis of extra-textual focusing on the ST and TT has shown that the intention of Gibran to write TBW is to depict the life during his era during which the era deals with various problems that plagued early-twentieth-century Lebanon and foremost to tell a tale of tragic love, set at the turn of the 20th century in Beirut. It is perhaps most aptly described as a “love-poem-in-prose,” unified by the force of its universal theme of love, though critics have regarded it from the traditional perspective of the novella. Based on the analysis of the intra- textual aspects, it is shown that TBW contains many figures of speech, to name a few are the similes which dominate, the metaphor and the personification. TBW also contains so many cultural words that refer to ecology to describe the beautiful landscape of the Lebanon, the material culture to describe the flowers, fruits, and also the organization of Lebanese with the “houris”. The translator was able to perceive and retain the meaning of each making the translation fulfilled the criteria of good translation, clear, accurate and natural
koamabayili/VECTRON-author-checklist: VECTRON author checklist
We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
